Web page preview not working with Chrome

I am having trouble previewing my web pages using Google Chrome. I have properly set up the browser in Preferences but it won't show when I use preview. I am using CS4.
I was working on work computer that had CS3 and I couldn't get pages to preview in Chrome or Firefox. I've had no problems with Safari or Opera in either CS3 or CS4.
Is there some trick I'm missing?

Well I am clicking on the little world icon for Preview in Browser, then I'm selecting the browser I want to view it in. They are local files on my computer, not files on a networked server. Chrome opens and the following error is shown: Error 6 (net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND): The file or directory could not be found.
The following file path is in the browser bar: file:///SIEGFRIED%20MEDIA%20HD/Users/bens_photo/Documents/3DAC/Hamernik/Sand_and_Sea_art/c ontact.html
If I manually remove "/SIEGFRIED%20MEDIA%20HD/" then the page will show up. It doesn't do this in any of the other browsers, only Chrome. While I've figured how to preview it, I don< class="failedUrl" style="color: #000000; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; text-align: -webkit-auto; background-color: #ffffff;">'t like to have to do this manual step each and every time. Is there a way to just get it to preview from DW?
No, I have not tried manually opening them from the browser, but that is an option I am certain will work. I would like to use the feature that DW has. Somehow DW wants to add
"/SIEGFRIED%20MEDIA%20HD/" at the beginning of the file path. Without that the page will show. So,
"/SIEGFRIED%20MEDIA%20HD/" is the problem, but I am not sure how to keep it from being added to the local file path.

Simple Pass Not Working with Chrome Version 42.0.2311.90 m

SimplePass stopped working today. I noticed a while ago that I no longer had to manually add the Website Logon extension anymore. A small window popped up with a warning about using developer extensions and SimplePass worked. Website Logon extension is enabled, but SimplePass isn't working.
Does anyone know I can fix this? Many thanks in advance.
As a last resort, I have gone back to a previous restore point. Now SimplePass is working. However, I would still like resolution as I expect to encounter this problem again with other updates, etc. Can someone tell me what Windows Update may have caused the problem so I can not apply that particular update?

Simple pass not working with Chrome

I've seen this posted numerous times (some posts going back to 2012) and I have yet to see an answer that works. I just bought a windows 7 machine with simple pass. Simple pass simply does not work with chrome. The only time it works is when I log on to windows itself. Everything is new and up to date, and simple pass is configured correctly.
This is one of the reasons why I bought this machine, and it just doesn't work. Can someone, anyone, tell me how to make it work?

My web form is not working with PayPal

Only seamless gateways such as the "Pro" version of PayPal, eWay or Authorize.net will work with form payments. Gateways that have the user leave BC, such as PayPal Standard, Google Checkout or Realex, only work with the online store.

I did further testing:
1. I turned off the IPN and I still received the Error page.
2. Than I went and turned off the Payment Data Transfer, and now I got the blank page... /PaymentProcess.aspx?paypal=success. However, I still got the paypal transaction ID attached to the orders.
3. I turned on the IPN and still got the blank /PaymentProcess.aspx?paypal=success and I still got the paypal transaction ID attached to the orders.So the conclusion is that IPN has no bearing on payments made with PayPal Standard when it is used with custom forms.
4. I chaged the URL in the Return URL to go to the secure home page instea of to /PaymentProcess.aspx. and...it still sent me to the PaymentProcess.aspx and I still got the paypal transaction ID attached to the orders.
5. I made the purchase using shoping cart to ensure it works too and this time I even received the receipt on the /PaymentProcess.aspx. The Ref# and Auth Code were "Not Applicable" but it still worked and it was recorded in the orders with the paypal transaction ID
So my conclusions are:
1. IPN has no bearing on PayPal payments made from the custom web form
2. Payment Data Transfer being on sends to the pafe that can't be processesd and it renders Error message
3. Return URL always send you to the PaymentProcess/aspx regardless what secure url you put in there.
4. Transcation ID is always passed to the orders as long as it can connect to PayPal. I guess ur will do it as long as the Payment Gateway has the proper informration in there.
5. It works the same from the custom web form and from checkout form.
I hope this sheds some light and serves some purpose to whoever is completely confused by this as I am.

Linking to a specific location in a web page is not working

I am using anchor tags for linking to a specific location in a web page . This Page contains some images(.bmp).
Eg:
<h2><a name="exactline">Linking Directly to a Specific Location</a></h2>
<a href="http://www.example.com/some-page-or-other.aspx#exactline">Click here</a>
Whenever I click on the link it moves to specific location but when the page get loaded completely , top of the page is being displayed.
My question is how can I make this link redirects directly to the particular section and stays there even after the page loads fully.

When you click your link "Click here", the SharePoint web page with anchor will not work until refresh the page, if it's the case, you can add the javascript code to refresh the page automatically as workaround per the following similar post.

Apex 5 not working with Chrome, works perfectly with firefox.

Hi All,
So after a few days of trying to upgrade my 4.2 PDB to 5.0. Finally, Success.
I have encountered a new issue.
Apex works fine under Firefox, but the same cannotbe said for google chrome. Even though I can log in via chrome, certain things do not work.
For example.
When I click on my username for the account menu in the top right corner, nothing happens with chrome (see image1).
When I do the same exact thing under Firefox, I get the drop down account menu as intended. (see image2)
I am a linux user, so at first I thought maybe it was something related to chrome with Linux.
Then I thought maybe it was some sort of caching issue, so i cleared my cache and all temp files.
Finally, I checked the chrome vs firefox comparison on 3 different PC's. 1 linux, 1 Windows 8.
When I use Apex via Firefox, I have not bumped into a single bug, I was able to test it thoroughly to make sure desiger and all features worked without an issue.
Under chrome, some things work, others do not.
Another example of something that doesnt work under chrome. When I get an authentication error, the countdown timer (please wait 5 seconds) does not count down nor disappear after 5 seconds. Under firefox, works. This can be said for an assortment of buttons, links, drop down menus.
Has anyone bumped into this? Anyone successfully using apex5 via chrome?

Hi John,
based on the error message that almost looks like that our desktop.min.js library didn't load. Can you please try the following.
1) On the page where you see that error, click the Hamburger icon in the top right corner and select 'More tools' -> View Source.
2) In the HTML source displayed, search for desktop.min.js (use Ctrl+F) and click on that link of the file. desktop.min.js should be right before wwv_flow.js_messages.
Does it show the source of the file?
If that works, can you do the same for jquery-2.1.3.min.js right before desktop.min.js.

Browser Issue all links in web pages do not work

Having some issue with Browser: all links in web pages for various sites do not work. Browser was working fine for year or so just sopped the other day

Are your links including "www" at the beginning? Is your default browser correct? If you have a backup just use that backup when your browser worked, to put it in its previous state, but first backup what you have so that you can upload your history ie if you still need it

Flash Builder Design Preview Not Working With Catalyst Objects On Stage

Hi there,
I'm working with a flash catalyst component from a flex project library, and it will not preview in desing mode. Anyone ever run into this? It seems that it may be a memory issue as the custom components themselves will preview, but now a bunch of custom components all displayed in a view.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated! For now I'm back to guessing x & y coords...

Going to answer my own thread here. This issue doesn't seem to be with Flash Builder, I think the issue lies in the browser not being able to register the button modes, namely Firefox 4. I've seen it happen in other browsers too, like Chrome, where the fix is to embed the swf as param.wmode = "window". Hope this helps someone out.

My web pplication does not working with new version of firefox 31. It uses heatmap.js plugin for leaflet.js to build temperature map.

It has example for leaflet layer.
After update firefox to version 31 I could not see temperature map in browser for this example. But with previous version of firefox I could see it.
My web application users leaflet.js and heatmap.js plugin. It users the same code as on the example page.
After updating firefox version it saying "your script take too long time to run. Continue?" again and again and temperature map does not appear.
I use leaflet-0.7.2.js and heatmap-1.0.js plugin for leaflet.

Seems to be working here.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Want better web pages - will Aperture work with iWeb?

Slightly disappointed in the dearth of good web page creating options in Aperture (you'd think they'd be better, no?). Can I get iWeb and create web pages using my Aperture photos?

Yes, iWeb can access your Aperture images if you've enabled previous. I tried this and found iWeb's web galleries quite horrid. After experimenting with a variety of options, I settled on customizing Aperture's web galleries and grafting together pages created by the two programs. iWeb works fine for throwing together some top level pages, and you can then hang Aperture web galleries off them as external links. Several folks have posted instructions on how to do this, and one fellow assembled a nice PDF.

WRT300N QoS web page suddenly not working

I have a WRT300N router. I have been able to set QoS settings successfully and have added some MAC address before.
Suddenly, when I'm about to add one more, the Category selection is not working anymore. and there's no initial selection for the page when it first load on my browser.
Also, a weird thing is that the summary of my MAC addresses that I have added before were all gone.
Tried it on all browser (IE,FIrefox, Safari, Chrome) and still the error occurs.
Rebooted my PC and my router and still the problem occurs.
I inspected the problem on Firebug and shows me the ff: javascript errors:
1.) missing ) after argument list
2.) init is not defined
3.) to_submit is not defined (when I hit the "Save Settings" button)
Hardware:
WRT300N V1
Firmware Version: v1.03.6
Software:
Windows 7 Ultimate
Firefox 3.6.13
IE 8.0.76
Chrome 8.0.55
Safari 5.01

Pages 08 not working with SL

Since installing SL. pages 08 will not open any docs. Is there a work around for this, seems odd that it will not work. Yes rosetta stone is installed.

I have Pages 08 and it opens .doc files, but that are old files. Are the ones you want to open saved by the latest Word app? It might be a problem there.
When you want to open the .doc file how do you do it? Could you describe how?
Sometimes a restart of the computer helps.
Also do a search in the forum for possible solutions. I really don't remember all of them.
