Web pages with Tiff with more than one page! Can only see first page!

Please help me out. This is kind of a big issue for me.
For work I need to visit regularly a webpage which contains a number of official documents that have been saved on the webpage as Tiff files with multiple pages.
I can only view the first page on the ipad!
I think this is a problem linked to quicktime, as I also have it on my pc I open the documents with quicktime whereas on with Windows Life photo Gallery, I see all the pages...

I don't believe there is a single app that can view any but the first page of a multi-page tiff currently available for the iPhone or iPad, though a few paid iPhone "doc-viewer" apps' descriptions would seem to imply that they could.
However, if you are able to upload these files to google docs, then use the **desktop** version of google docs via Safari (there's a small link to this at the bottom of the page on the default mobile version), it will correctly display and navigate to each page of your multi-page tiffs. This is completely free, and you could probably stream-line the process to your needs, but it does seem like a lot to go through for such a simple feature. It's possible that this would work with equivalents to google docs as well.
You're right that you're not alone in needing this feature. It seems like it should be quite easy to implement, but no app appears to have done it. Maybe requests to the writers of several doc-viewing apps would do the trick, especially given the importance to enterprise.

Some pages will run text and pictures together, like a car rear-ending another or a train pile up. Other pages will cut an image or text short, i.e. it will display a portion of the top of the image or text but not the rest. This happens on Amazon for example, the section where it says "Customers who looked at this also looked at" will allow only a certain amount of the upper portion of the description immediately below the picture of the product but below that section everything is fine until I get to another section displaying more products and their descriptions and then it cuts the bottom portions off again. I've noticed this behavior mostly in the sections with product photos, the text sections seem okay. YouTube also displays this behavior. It's even doing it on this page right now. Below this box I can read "The more information you can provide the better chance your question will be answered " , but directly below that in the next sentence I can see the start of it with "Troublshootin" and the "Automatically Add" in a green field covering the "g". I tried turning of pre-fetching, clearing history, cookies, and cache, scanning for malware with Avast and Windows Defender all to no avail. It began when I upgraded from dial up to DSL via AT&T Uverse. I have a Motorola NVG510 modem. The modem was replaced an hour ago along with new dedicated lines and DSL/Phone splitter from the box by an AT&T technician to make sure my incoming lines were up to par. He ran a connection test and verified everything is up to standards. IE does not display this behavior. I am running Firefox20.0.1 and all previous versions have acted the same way since I upgraded to DSL about 3 months ago.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" in case the current setting is causing problems.

Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.

It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with text not being displayed properly.

On the right side of the Toolbar click the Sort and Filter button, then select Sort.
You can then set up a multiple column sort.
Click Add A Column, Specify the sort for that column, Repeat.

I don't quite understand some of this but of course you can bind more than one object into the RMI Registry. If you use different names the clients will use the object corresponding to whatever name they looked up. If you rebind different objects to the same name, the clients will use the object that was there at the time they did the lookup.
Clustering is a problem for RMI/JRMP because stubs are not location-transparent: they refer to the originating JVM. If you need this kind of functionality I would use RMI/IIOP and do some CORBA magic in the ORBs at both the clustered servers. CORBA references are location-transparent so a service can be logically 'moved' from one JVM to another.

1) When you execute the program, we can check if there is any lock on this table. If yes, the user should be able to only view the table contents and not modify.
2) If there is no lock, then lock the table and go into change mode.
3) On exiting from the program, unlock the table using the function module.
4) more than one user can't modify the table just display.
Note: If there is any lock, display message saying table is locked.

If you want to lock a standard table search whether the table is used in lock objects (<i>Where-Used-List</i>). If it is a customer table you have to create your own lock object (including two function modules: one for enqueuing and the other for dequeuing).
The lock modules can be found in menu <b>GoTo -> Lock Modules</b>.
Given these lock modules the logic should be quite clear after starting the program:
1. Request lock -> if successful, continue in Change mode; -> if failed, continue in Display mode
2. Before leaving the report remove lock (note: no problem if no lock has been set in the beginning).

In short: for different reasons it is best practice that each user gets its own local copy of the database. This means that you need to split it into a front-end which only consists of the forms, queries, reports etc. Everything which doesn't need to be
shared. And a back-end, which only stores the data.

Update column with subquery returning more than one row

Please let me know how to handle this. I am writing update statement in procedure with subquery and it is returning multiple rows. Please help me, how i can handle this :

Try getting rid of tablea in your subqueries. You already have it in the UPDATE statement.

Can the iPhone 4 with iOS5, have more than one custom voicemail greeting?

Is it possible to put more than one custom greeting on the iPhone 4 with iOS 5? I sometimes would like certain people to know where I am or what I'm doing so they may take the opportunity to join me without me answering the phone each time it rings when I'm hosting a seminar or teaching a class. I would like to record a couple of responses that I could pick from, but don't know if that is possible. Thanks!

iPhone and carriers do not natively support this. You have to use a third party application from the App Store to take advantage of this feature, which is possible via an application such as YouMail. It's free in the app store. I'm sure there are others like that available as well.

I am a bit confused about firewall settings for iChat AV. I have a netgear FVS328 router. Obviously to have iChat working, I first open the firewall on my mac (Tiger) for the appropriate ports. Then I defined a service on the router and a rule to open those ports. It works... however, I have an issue.
In the router firewall setup I had to give an LAN IP Address to which packets for those specific iChat ports would be forwarded. Now, I understand this when a connexion is ignited from the Internet and (for example) you would want all HTTP trafic on port 80 to go to your web server. But here I have more than one mac behind my firewall. Moreover, they get there address by DHCP. I can't change the firewall setting each time I want to chat from a different computer!
I tried to have a look at port triggering, but it doens't seem to exist on the netgear. But even though, I would have to specify an IP address on my LAN.
Why is this needed since basically both iChat parties are already connected to .Mac so the connexion is made!
I am also wondering how they manage that kind of problem in Internet cafes where they certainly do not have a fixed Internet IP address for each PC or Mac available!

This page shows the set up for Port Forwarding for just the login/Text chatting port.
You may be able to repeat this for another IP address (depends on device if this is allowed).
You also have to repaet the process for the other 22 ports
These are all on UDP (5060, 5678, 16384-16403) The group of twenty ports at the end may have to be entered one at a time
Port Triggering is a method on some routers and modems that has data arriving on one port Trigger the opeing of other ports. I can not see that you have it from the Pics in the link. (newer Firmware if available may have it).
ANother option on some devices is UPnP where the ports are opened by the Application when they are needed.
Both UPnP and Port Triggering Allow for multiple computers to use the same ports.

It is not possible to port forward the same port number to more than one computer on any router that does NAT. It is impossible for the router to know which of the computers to send it to and sending it to both would confuse the software.
Think of it another way all post for a particular house is delivered by a postman. Once posted in the mailbox someone picks it up and ensures it reaches the correct person by the name written on the post. Now if you have 2 John Smiths in the same house nobody will know which one it is for. The same applies to the port numbers on the router. Some applications allow you to select a unique range of ports for each computer so you can organize a unique port for each computer but iChat doesn't.

That's great, but not what we want to do. I've been looking at all the boards for a solution to this and, you are correct. There isn't one - at least not one native to iOS. What I think EricB2 would like, as well as many of us, is the ability to take any audio stream (pandora, tune-in radio, etc.) and stream directly to multiple airplay devices from our iPads and iPhones without having to use the computer. Just walk into the house from the car, hit a button on the iDevice and start listening to the same stream we were listening to in the car on all of our home speakers. I know, this is like science fiction. My own opinion is that it would cut into Apples lucrative iTunes business model and really isn't in their best interest, so I don't think it will be happening anytime soon. Bottom line is if you want to use your Apple devices for whole house streaming, you need a computer and music from iTunes($$). Otherwise it's $$ out of Apples pocket.

Rendering Error when using more than one DataSheetView on a Enterprise Wiki-Page

how to reproduce:
Add two Custom Lists with some Fields (Add Lookup-Columns to both Lists).
Add a DataSheetView to each List and mark it as Default-View
Create a Enterprise Wiki-Page
Add a WebPart (Custom-List-1)
You will see the Content from List 1 as DataSheet-View (because it is the Default-View)
Add another WebPart below the previous added WebPart (Custom-List-2)
You will see the Content from List 2 as DataSheet-View (because it is the Default-View)
Notice that the First DataSheet has faulty Rendering. The Lookup-Columns having more than one 'Arror-Down' Image and it is even on the left. If you click into different Column, different row you get the same.
I can reproduce this behaviour anytime.
Environment: SharePoint 2013 Enterprise, IE10
If you use Development-Tools to identify first datarow of first DataSheet you can see that it has to do something with the related <Input>-Tags:

Please have a look into it. Current Workaround for me is to have a Default-ListView in first WebPart. But then Customer has to click the Edit-Button to Change the Item in the releated EditForm. This is a Show-Stopper here!

According to your description, the lookup column would render incorrectly when adding more than one datasheet view in the Enterprise Wiki page.
I tested the same scenario per your post, and I got the same results as you got.

More than one af:messages component on a page?

Hi,
I'm struggling with error messages. Our users complain about the numerous popups with errors they get and about how "persistent" those popup are. I cannot blame them for complaining, the popups can be really annoying.
Consider an editable table, with a couple of required fields. You create a new record, required fields are empty and then you think: "Oh, I should change that value in that other record", so you click on another row in the table to edit the other record before continuing to fill the newly created one. You'll get a popup that keeps re-appearing constantly, until you've filled all required fields in the new record. Users get very frustrated about this.
So, I'm looking for another solution, and this is my idea: we have a small piece of "screen real estate" at the bottom of the screen, near the commit and rollback buttons. I can put an <tt><af:messages></tt> component there, with the <tt>inline</tt> attribute set to <tt>true</tt>. Because of the limited space, only the first line of the errors will be shown. To enable the user to see the complete list of errors, I can add a <tt><af:popup></tt> with an <tt><af:noteWindow></tt> inside. I can then add an <tt><af:popupBehaviour></tt> to the <tt><af:messages></tt> component, to show the popup whenever the user mouses over the first line of errors. I can get this working without problems. But when I add a second <tt><af:messages></tt> inside the <tt><af:noteWindow></tt>, it won't show any message. Can I have more than one <tt><af:noteWindow></tt> on a page? If not, is there another way to repeat the error messages inside the popup?

How about hiding messages(by setting visible property to false using javascript) on table mouse over and making it visible on clicking on the submit button by using clientListener tag to call the javascript methods.
I am not sure about note windows but you can think of the above solution if it makes sense.

When a single-page form expands to more than one page, can you reference the new individual "pages" that have been created by the expanding table?

Don't think this is possible but would love to be wrong.
Bullet Points:
1) In my demo form (simple hierarchy: form1.page1.table1.row1), 8 occurrences (instance "0" through instance "7") of the repeating row1 can be visible
     before it causes a page break and adds another "page". No issues there.
2) I'm thinking about trying to control the end-users navigation abilities to only on-screen "previous page" and "next page" buttons.
     (So no scrolling from page to page; keep them where we want them.) Only way I can see making this work is if the form is designed
     and coded to only allow one page to be visible at a time --- nesting things correctly in a parent object then hide all necessary subforms
     and only make the appropriate subform visible.
3) But when working with tables, when occurrence 9 gets added (aka instance 8), it triggers an on screen "Page 2" to be added.
     End user can now scroll between Page 1 and Page 2.
4) Once Page 2 has been added, is there a way to reference Page 1 (as we see it on screen) and set it to be hidden?
5) Is what we are seeing on screen as "Page 1" and "Page 2" actually this.resolveNode("page1[0]") and this.resolveNode("page1[1]") ?
     Tried messing around with referencing it this way but didn't seem to work. Maybe I had a typo but if we never set the subform named "page1"
     to allow multiple instances, I'm guessing it's not referenced this way.

If you're looking at learning a bit more about database design (looking at your description of what you've done in creating a separate table for each category of item sold sounds like you're approaching it as though it was a flat-file rather than a relational database), there's a few books that I could direct you to:

I've also got an older book that's always sitting by my desk called Dreamweaver MX Databases (ISBN 978-0782141481), which I still reference regularly - chapter 3 on coding practices and chapter 5 on database design provide very good overviews of the subject.
There's also a Database Development for Dummies, but I'm not a huge fan of the series where they're tackling technical subjects.
Without knowing the data you're modeling, it's quite difficult to make generalisations, but I'd probably be looking at a single table called 'Product' (which contains all the product records), and which had in it a boolean for 'new item' and for 'on sale' (you could then use SQL to filter out new and/or sale items when you create your recordset). I'd then have a look up table called 'Categories' which held the values 'necklace', 'handbag', 'belt', and 'purse' which the Product table could then reference to identify.
Breaking your data down into a logical structure like this is called 'normalisation' (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Database_normalization) - although it's a bit technical. There's a simpler practical explanation of a similar query to yours at TechRepublic (http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10878_11-5288500.html), which uses MS Access, but don't worry about that as it's teaching a concept which is applicable no matter what the database server.
