Web Queries stop Working after KB2925418
Hi
I am having an issue where a specific web query (to our CRM) we use stops working after the installation of KB2925418.
Our System Info:
Windows 2012 R2
Office 2013
CRM 2011 Update 17
I have done the following (each step is a follow on from the previous, reboot after each step) - no other settings have changed
1) Install Windows 2012 R2 (no updates) and Office 2013 Std (no updates) -
Works
2) Update Office 2013 fully (via Windows Update) - Works
3) Update all Windows updates (via windows Updates) - Doesn't work
4) Uninstall KB2925418 - Works
5) Update to KB2919355 - Doesn't Work
6) Windows Update all remaining - Doesn't Work
Now I assume KB2919355 includes the fixes in KB2925418, which is why it doesn't work.
If I edit the Query via the Connection Properties (on Data Menu) I can view the data, It just does not appear in excel
Anyone had a similar issue ?
Any Idea on a possible fix ? (I have tried a number of IE settings etc, allowed crossing zones etc)

Hi,
Do the issue only occur the Excel 2013 web query connects the CRM? Have you tried to use the web query connect the other public website (Such as Microsoft website)
The update patch is related to the IE cumulative security, if the issue only occur with accessing CRM, I suppose that there are some compatibility issue between the patch and CRM.
If the issue is occurred with all the web query, I recommend we uninstall the patch and wait for fix.
I'll monitor the issue to check if other customer has the same issue in the forum.

Web Dynpros stopped working after software update
Hi. Please forgive me if this thread is not in the good forum, I was not exactly sure where to post.
Yesterday we updated several "packages" in our portal using the Software Deployment Manager (SDM). Today, all our Web Dynpro applications won't work. It is almost clear to me that some jar files must be missing on the portal, but I can't say which ones and where to get them.
Here's the error I get on the portal when an iVew contains a WebDynpro:

Looking at SDM's log viewer, I found that an error occured during "SAP J2EE Engine Deployment", whcih seams to be related to my problem.
What should I do? I guess I could try reinstalling some "packages", but which ones? I am no expert with this so any help / clue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot !The problem has finally been fixed. I wasn't aware that some SCA downloads had to be "approved" so many were missing (this is why some jar files were missing in my upgrade). Amoung those SCAs was J2EE-Core. So we reinstalled many previously installed SCAs with the "new" ones and everything's working fine this morning.

After update to 11.2.202.228 mz USB 1.1 web cam stop working
Hi,
I have a camera from MediaTech company, it is written on it MT400 and serial number 2604050599. Before latest update it works, after install newest version of Flash Player it stop working. I tested it on http://testmycam.com as one of Adobe employee advices on forum but I have only black rectangle. On top left corner of this rectangle it is written Camera: USB PC Camera (SN9C 102) , FPS 10. I disabled Hardware acceleration but problem remains.
As I remember this camera is USB 1.1. Does new Flash Version support USB 1.1?
I have checked on Device Manager on my Windows XP Home Edition 2002 Version with SP3 device driver version it is written:

Driver date: 2004-04-02 (I can't find newer drivers on web )
Driver version: 4.6.6.1
Is it bug or Flash Player stops supporting such devices?
RegardsI pressed Allow, before pressing Allow background was grey, after Allow
it gets black. I see the name of this camera on list. I also try another
camera from Logitech (I can't remember what name was it, but one of the
newest) and everything works which suggest it is strictly related with
this specific camera which I'm using.

Extensions like Ghostery, WOT or AdBlock stop working after two or three times. Restarting the webpage in a new tab the extensions will work again for several times and then stop again. Has anybody an explanation or a workaround for this bug in Safari 5?
Remove the extensions, redownload Safari, reload the extensions.

I had a form that auto collected data through Adobe but it has stopped working after my Acrobat X Pro did an update.
The form no longer appears in the tracker. How can this be fixed? I am using Windows 7.
It would appear that since Adobe are going to be closing the Workspace area in January 2015 that when
Acrobat did an update the ability to connect to files in the Workspace has been removed.
Is there any way to reconnect the file back to the Tracker?
Has anyone else had the same problem?
Adobe don't seem interested in helping as this question has been posted for three days and yet no response.First and foremost thing you can do it is that reset your Firefox and after that change it to safe mode.This may be happening due to venerable links getting downloaded.

I can't connect to Wi-Fi - keeps timing out. No problem connecting from other laptops / phones. Stopped working after I did a system upgrade. What can I do? I am on OS X Yosemite.
Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the problem is resolved. Some of these steps are only possible if you have control over the wireless router.
Step 1
Turn Wi-Fi off and back on.
Step 2
Restart the router and the computer. Many problems are solved that way.
Step 3
Change the name of the wireless network, if applicable, to eliminate any characters other than letters and digits. You do that on your router via its web page, if it's not an Apple device, or via AirPort Utility, if it is an Apple device.
Step 4
Run the Network Diagnostics assistant.
Step 5
In OS X 10.8.4 or later, run Wireless Diagnostics and fix the issues listed in the Summary, if any.
Step 6
Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Enter the name of your wireless network in the search box. You should have one or more "AirPort network password" items with that name. Make a note of the name and password, then delete all the items. Quit Keychain Access. Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. Reconnect to the network.

Kodak has posted an unsupported hack that has been reported to enable printing to a Kodak printer not supported in OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"). Perhaps it would have the same effect with some other kinds of printers that aren't supported in Yosemite. I have no information about that, one way or the other.
I have not tested the hack myself and I don't know all the possible effects. As far as I know it will not break the compatibility of printing software that is already compatible with Yosemite. It may degrade the security of the web administration interface of CUPS. That interface is not enabled by default, and will not be enabled by the procedure described here. Even if it were enabled, I know of no way it could be exploited, with or without the modification. Nevertheless, if you have enabled the web administration interface, you should disable it if you decide to follow these instructions. If you don't know what the web administration interface is, you haven't enabled it. -
VPN stopped working after OS X 10.9.4 update

I had a VPN configured for work which has been working forever but stopped working after the 10.9.4 upgrade.
Very basic setup:
L2TP over IPSec
Server address filled out
Account name filled out
Authentication settings
User Authentication - password kept empty, so it prompts for password
Machine authentication through certificate - certificate selected
Advanced
IPv4 over PPP
IPv6 automatic
When connecting after the 10.9.4 update after I entered my password and hitting connect it always says: the L2TP server did not respond .... what changed?

SharePoint Online 2013 Workflows for one List stopped working after 07/08/2014
Our client host application in Office 365 SharePoint Online 2013, and we just found that all workflows for one list stopped working after 7, Aug 2014. It kept displaying pop-up message "Something went wrong. To try again, reload the page and then start
the workflow." when manually start a workflow for this List.
Tested workflow for other list, there's no problem.

Safari and firefox stop working after a few minutes of browsing, regardless of what site I'm on. I have to restart my computer to get internet access again but it only works for a few more minutes, then I have to restart again. I don't get a spinning ball, it just stops working at whatever page it's on. I can close the program just fine but when I re-open it, either safari or firefox, it freezes trying to load the hompage. This started a few days ago after trying to stream a movie on my computer. I'm on a Mac Air OS X Version 10.6.8 and have downloaded all updates. When I go into finder, it says I have over 80 gigs available. Is there some other memory cache that I need to check? Thanks so much for your help.

I'm not trying to belittle your issues; you're certainly having them and I know first hand how annoying an intermittent AirPort issue can be. (In fact, mine was due to an AirPort driver bug that no one else seemed to suffer from.)
The single best diagnostic you could do is take your system running 10.5.7 to an Apple Store, and try using their in-store network.
If your machine performs flawlessly, it may be a router issue.
If your machine has connectivity issues there, it may be a hardware problem with your machine.
There have been numerous people in multiple threads over the years who swore that an update was buggy because things used to work, but returned later to sheepishly admit that they took their machine in, a problem was found and fixed, and now their Mac works flawlessly with the newer software.
But simply reinstalling 10.5.5 in no way means the explanation of how firmware bugs may be at play here is incorrect.
In the context of that explanation, all you've done is possibly reinstall software that asks to add "2 + 3." -
I have plugged a portable battery to the USB and my macbook pro stopped working after that, right before it shut down there was a message on the screen that said something like " USB device is withdrawing so much power, please disconnect and connect again?
if the device I connected have caused this, shouldn't the macbook itself have some type of protection that should prevent this from happening.
because when I took it to an apple certified maintenance shop, the guy said that now it could only run while connected to the power. it won't run on batteries. and that I have to change the motherboard.
can I just replace the damaged part only, would apple consider this as a design issue and they could pay for it, or should I just buy a new motherboard for 800$.

The problem is in finding a tech shop that will/can do board level repairs on Macs. They are few. And I certainly wouldn't spend $800 on a new logic board - I would replace the computer if I had to pay that much!
You could call around to a few repair shops and see if they feel competent to isolate the problem and do a board level repair - but I'm afraid, in the end, that your search will be futile.

USB hub and internet sharing stop working after sleep
Hi,
I have a relatively new Bluestork USB hub I purchased to connect multiple USB devices I have at the same time. It used to work correctly under Leopard, but now it stops working each time the computer wakes up from sleep. I have to restart the computer for it to start working again. Both link and power LEDs stay on, even when the hub is not recognized.
My second problem is related to internet sharing. It stops working after each sleep/wakeup cycle and the only way to make it work again is to restart the computer. It used to work correctly before Snow Leopard as well.

The hub is on its way to the manufacturer for after sales service...
But the issue with AirPort remains the same, even after resetting SMC.
Some clarification:
* It happens just after computer wakes up from sleep. Restarting solves the problem and the issue doesn't arise until computer goes standby again.
* The whole WiFi card becomes unresponsive. It is not only the Turn Off button, but the whole functionality is stopped. The card can not be activated/deactivated and it doesn't connect to any network. If it is used for internet sharing, clients are unable to connect. -
Right USB Port stops working after disconnecting device since 10.9.2
Hi,
Since updating to 10.9.2 the right USB port on my MBA stops working after diconnecting a device (tested: external hard drive, USB flash drive, USB HSPA Modem). The only way to get the port recognizing the device on that port is to do a restart. If the device is connected from starting the MBA it works fine, if I then eject the drive and reinsert it or a different USB device the device doesn't get recognized. The devices do get power, my WD passport ultra spins up just fine, the USB HSPA modem also indicates it's working (with signal) but nothing shows up in finder or diskutility. If the modem is connected from start (and thus working) and then disconnect from the internet but not remove the drive I can reconnect to the internet. The problem only occurs after disconnecting the device. The port becomes inactive. The left USB port works as expected.

The sleep issue sounds interesting- hum, maybe...
Is your keyboard plugged into one of the USB connections on an Apple monitor? If so, you may want to change that connection to one that is on the G5 itself. My monitor came with a warning note indicating that problems will likely occur if the keyboard is connected to the monitor.
I also had a problem with the automatic sleep function. After much trouble-shooting and a logic board replacement, it was concluded that coming out of the automatic sleep function with any USB device active would freeze the entire USB bus. After disabling automatic sleep in system preferences, I've had no freezing problems. My machine works fine with the manual sleep function in the Apple Menu.
