Web report - print layout - store of input

Hi,
the customer wants to have the grid lines and grey boxes on his printout as see on the screen. We are using internet exporer and when we print there is only the text and and the figures on the paper - no lines that give orientation.
When the customer enters data in the filter lines she wants to see that data in the filter boxes on the next day again. But how can this data be stored?

Has nobody any idea how to solve this problems?
I heard that the print layout can defined with BW3.7 as PDF File. Without this the printout can be defined via Excel (Bex Report)

    Hi
    I have a problem with the Dunning Report Print layout (Dunning All (system)). In the wizard I select all the Invoices (Which are over due and current) for the BP and sent to printer.

    Hi
    I solved the problem. But the issue was when i ran the dunning wizard the layouts messed up. For example if I had a dunning letter with 3 lines (overdue documents). The last line would copy itself 4-6 times (it would show the last document 4-6times so the total lines in the dunning letter would be 7-9 lines). But I solve the issue. Somehow the attention person (which I got from the contact persons (ocrp) and not from the document contact person (oinv) ) did the issue. When i switch it to the oinv the issue was gone.
    kind regards

  • Transaction Journal Report - Print Layout Design

    Hi all
    Is it possible to add Journal Entry Project Codes to this Transaction Journal Report (Print Layout Design)?
    I tried to add Journal Entry Project Codes to this system PLD but the result still not showing any Project Code.
    Kedalene

    Hi Kedalene Chong
    ou don't need a list of variables to use them. Simply go to View -> System Information so whenever you hover around a field with the cursor, in the left bottom corner of the screen you will see the details of that screen along with the variable number if it is a variable.
    So you will see something like:
    [Form=139 Item=29 Pane=0 Variable=91]
         -> in this case the variable number is 91 - use it in Print Layout Designer.
    So you can just use the variable specified in these details. When creating the print layout, just go back to your form, stand on a field with your mouse and you will see what variable to use.
    Also Check with the PLD Variables Note No 867048...

    Hi Guys,
    I am trying to implement the Web Report printing using the white paper on "How to .... enhance Web printing". But when I add the HTML link to the code after including the objects in the "ITEM object" tag, I see a blank page. I mean the link does not take me to the help page where I can set the printing parameters as it should happen. Can some one suggest me if I am missing any step here?

  • Crystal Report print layout error during print preview

    Hi Everyone,
    When I try print preview a marketing document, it will work the first time, and then when I try to print preview again it brings up a window asking me to login into the database with the sa username and password.
    When putting in the correct password, the login fails.
    When I click cancel, SAP hangs up and requires a restart.
    All print layouts were done in Crystal Reports, and imported via the report layout manager.
    This occurs on all marketing documents where there is a crystal print layout.
    Anyone will be able to help me with this?
    Thanks

    Hi Rahul,
    Your solution worked. Thank you very much.
    I also did not include a stored procedure into the connection that was needed in the layout.
    This could have also added to the problem (for future reference).

  • BEx Web Reports: Print only Results area??

    Hi gurus,
    I know that it is quite messy printing BEx Web reports with 3.5. ....
    Is there the possibility to print only the results area of a BEx Web report, e.g. without the menus (e.g. Rows, Columns, Free Characteristics)??
    Thanks a lot for your answers,

  • Possible solution: Open Crystal Reports Print Layout from UDO form

    Hi all,
    I recently had to print information of a UDO which I have on a new form. I searched through the forum and found different solutions, but none that used the new "integrated" crystal reports viewer. So I came up with this workaround, which so far works great. I post it here for anybody else needing this kind of workaround, or in case somebody has a better solution, pick that up.
    Here it is:
    1) Create your Crystal Report file and import using the Reports and Layouts screen in SAP Business One. Give it a meaningful name and location in the menu. Have at least one parameter to take the DocNum or DocEntry, or whatever your primary key is. (Note: I know the import can be done by SDK, but as far as I can see there's no way to place it in the menu structure just yet.)
    2) In your Add-On in the event ID 520 (print), call the following function with the Document Number grabbed from the open form:
    public static bool printUDO(string strDocNum)
                // get menu UID of report
                Recordset oRS = (Recordset)B1Connections.diCompany.GetBusinessObject(BoObjectTypes.BoRecordset);
                oRS.DoQuery("SELECT MenuUID FROM OCMN WHERE Name = 'ReportName' AND Type = 'C'");
                if (oRS.RecordCount == 0)
                    B1Connections.theAppl.MessageBox("Report layout 'ReportName' not found.", 0, "OK", null, null);
                    return false;
                // execute menu and enter document number
                B1Connections.theAppl.ActivateMenuItem(oRS.Fields.Item(0).Value.ToString());
                Form form = B1Connections.theAppl.Forms.ActiveForm;
                ((EditText)form.Items.Item("1000003").Specific).String = strDocNum;
                form.Items.Item("1").Click(BoCellClickType.ct_Regular); // abrir reporte
                return true;
    I know it's kind of a dirty solution, but it works, and if you have any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them.
    Thanks!
    Joerg.

    Hi Joerg,
    It's not a dirty solution... I like it and i'm using it
    Thanks!

  • FR Report Print Layout Setup for Excel

    Hello All,
    Is there any way to setup the Page Layout for Excel export of the report.The user will export the report from HTML view on Workspace to Excel from File Menu options.After viewing the report in excel the user should be able to directly print the report without setting the page size and all.
    The Page Set Up option seems to be working for PDF but not in excel.

    Hi AG,
    As far as I know, this option is limited to pdf view. It could a nice enhancements in the upcoming versions as I've heard this request many times from various clients.

  • Web report print PDF in other language than English

    Hi,
    when i try to print the queries thro' web analyser(web output seen on Enterprise portal), the pdf document is generated in some other language than English.
    What is the problem?
    thank you....

    Hi BI.
    I would check the default language in the portal for the specific user. You will find this in the EP user administration in the general information tab.

  • Web report printed on a dot matrix printer

    Dear all,
    how can i design a report that is going to be printed on a dot matrix printer, i want to know these things:
    1 - what i will have to change in the report it self.
    2 - when i call the report from the form how the code will be.
    3 - do i have to print the report on the browser then the user press print from the file menu of the browser.
    please advice

    1 - what i will have to change in the report it self.Since you will be printing to a dot matrix printer, you essentially need to design a character mode report and set the .prt file for printing purpose. Check in online help for how to make a character mode report.
    2 - when i call the report from the form how the code >will be.On the otn site itself, you can find a white paper on reports 9i/forms integration. Please refer to this white paper on the example code.
    3 - do i have to print the report on the browser then >the user press print from the file menu of the browser.You do not need to print the report from browser window and can directly tell the report to print the character mode output using your dot matrix printer. The command line you send from Forms will have destype=printer and desformat=<.prt file name>
    Thanks

  • Best approach to "migrate" from BEX reports to Webi reports ?

    Hello,
    i have read lots of documents regarding best practices on how to built webi reports and universes on top of BW.
    But i can't find any document about best approach, not in performance way of thinking but in best way of using reports.
    i mean: when end users are coming from bex reports (where they can drill down through hierarhies and use free filters ) to webi reports (where layout is quite beatiful and user can change it easely), this is not the same way of consuming reports.
    I come from BO world and are new on reporting on top of BW.
    for me webi is good for quite static layout reporting where data is clear and available.of course you can have prompts for interactivy and more accurate reporting.  Drill down is just a functionality but is not the real purpose of the report tool.
    So ,according to me there is a gap between both tools (BEX and WEBI) but end users are the same.
    So i 'm wondering if you have any feedback for the best approach to build webi reports where end users are coming from bex reporting.
    And how to choose between prompts, drill-down (with available filters on top of the window), fold/unfold and input controls or just having diffrent levels of hierarchies in the table/ section/ breaks but without drill down (because if you drill down, report begins weird with diffrent levels) ...?
    So , if you have any feedback , advise....
    thanks in advance,
    Rgds,

    Hi,
      WEBI don't replace BEX reports, is for different audience, in fact BEX is for OLAP reports and analysis.

  • How to create @prompt filter at universe level for my Webi reports

    Dear all,
    I am using BO XI 3.1 SP3 with SAP BW 7.0.
    I have created an open[big] query based on a multiprovider for my OLAP universe.
    OBJECTIVE: to create LOV prompts for Calender year, for my webi reports, which takes 2010 as input then offsets the input year and then shows Gross sales for the prompt year [2010], 2009 & 2008.
    ISSUE: if 2010 is selected in webi prompt filter, then it doesn't display any data for any other year, lets say gross sales for 2009.
    ALTERNATIVE: i tried to create a prompt filter in the universe with this syntax,
    <FILTER KEY="@Select(Calendar year\Calendar year).[TECH_NAME]"><CONDITION OPERATORCONDITION="InList"><CONSTANT TECH_NAME="@Prompt('Enter year','N',,Mono,Free,Not_Persistent)"/></CONDITION></FILTER>
    it worked fine. but i also want to create a measure or dimension which subtracts 1 from the above filter and return a result with a previous year.
    e.g
    PROMPT: 2010
    PROMPT-1: 2009
    Universe structure
    [TIME]                         class
      [Calender year]        class
         [Calender year]     dimension  ( type:string)
    Please guide me with correct procedure and syntax.

    masood44 ,
    I think you should just prompt for year and capture and use the selection at the webi report  level.
    say you have calendar year(convert it into numeric) prompt at webi level. say user selects 2010 capture it in a variable var1:userresponse('enter year'). then create a variABLE (var2)  with formula :
    if(isPromptAnswered('enter year')='yes';([year] where year inlist(var1;var1-1;var1-2);null)
    build your report with var2 and gross income
    Thanks,
    Karthik

  • Web report & html form

    Is it possible to create Web report that will be take input parameters from html form? What program is necessary for me?

    Hello Sergey Al,
    You can create a custom parameter form in Reports Builder for your report, and when you run this report on the web using rwservlet with PARAMFORM=YES, this paramform will be displayed in HTML format before the report is run.
    Further, you can also create a JSP report with a parameter form, to be deployed on the web in a JSP engine. Take a look at the OTN 'Getting Started With Oracle9i Reports' link below for details:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/examples/ParameterFormJSP/index.html
    Thanks,

  • Tutorial request: moving print layout to tablet

    Hello, I see a lot of courses and training about DPS, but one seems to be missing, a tutorial to adapt efficiently an existing indd layout to the tablet world. Especially a picture book layout with 200 pages, which can be a very time-consuming task, or maybe not, when properly explained.
    Is this happening anytime soon?
    Thank you

    Hello Thomas,
    you can find the mentioned Tutorial under
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/documents/a1-8-4/user reports - print layout designer.abst
    or via SDN -> Developer Areas -> Business One -> Tutorials.
    This document describes, who to use the well known document editor to create individual layouts for your own queries in order to print them.
    As it's just an explanation on how to use the document editor for this purpose, you'll have to stick to the same limitations as for all other documents.
    And: No - it won't show you, how to create a new layout. The best docu for that issue is imho the documentation, which was shipped with SBO 6.01, the Course material for TB1200 or the Online-Help.
