Webcam instant software no longer working

After original install, the program worked great for about two weeks. Then it stopped working correctly.
Problem: It would not record at all.
Solution: reinstall.
Result: Locked program with partial launch (I could see a scrollbar for the program appear but nothing else)
Solution: Reinstall with as complete erase as I could manage. The uninstall program does not actually uninstall much.
Result: Upon reinstalling (with more than 7 attempts to completely erase this fine program) it is clear that the factory presets are not reset, rather they are set to my previous install. However, I am now able to record. Unfortunately the audio portion is played back first with a frozen image. This portion of the play back is then followed by 5-30 minutes of just frozen image. At the end of the playback comes the actual moving video image without sound.
Solution: Told by helpful Creative people that QuickTime 7 is interfering with webcam software. Uninstalled QuickTime 7 (and subsequently ipod). Then did a complete uninstall (however see above). I then reinstalled.
Result: Same as last result except that I have now lost all my music.
Any solutions, thoughts?
Yes I have removed all other USB junk. Yes I have cleaned the disk a defragged it. Yes I rebooted. Yes I followed the setup instructions. And yes I read that amazingly fine troubleshooting guide that cam with the CD as well as the equally stellar knowledge base on the web.

i had a similar problem. the video capture mode. it captures a video but wont capture if you enable audio. and then if you add in an audio compressor, it seems to capture the audio first, and then play the video track second. so you see one still, then hear the audio, then the video plays. i messed with all the codecs and to no avail. i dont know what the problem is but it seems to me that creative which is primarily a sound company should figure this out as its pretty lame to have a webcam that wont record videos properly with sound. and can i just say that this site is the hardest to use on the planet. very poor support. you should have some default box or something so i dont have to pick my region ten million times, like an english language opt out thing, its annoying.

Apple discontinued support for PowerPC apps with Lion, I think, so you're out of luck there. No patch coming, unfortunately. Best to upgrade whatever old applications you have or, since it seems like you're using some relatively old software, scout around for replacements that give you the functionality you need.
Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Print & Scan and select your scanner from the list--if it's not there you'll need to add it (start with the little plus icon). Once you have it in the list you can click on the Open Scanner button and a pretty barebones scanner driver will load for you. But Image Capture (as mentioned previously), found in your Applications folder, will probably do the job as adequately, or better, than your old scanner software.

Instant Messaging no longer works for me..why?

Instant Message came pre-loaded on my iPad 2 when purchased over 2 years ago. Always worked. Ever since downloading IOS7 and related fix-packs, no longer works. Software no longer work, serial number no longer work, what is the problem. Need software soon as possible.

Serial number no longer valid. If there was a billing issue I missed seeing email. Missing an important deadline and software isn't working.

What software, and what version?

Webcam Instant Software Issue

My girlfriend recently purchased a Webcam Instant, and somehow, in a mysterious event(pun intended) broke the Installation CD before I could install it. Is there a site that I can get the Installation Software from, like a bit torrent, or a virtual drive NFO? Or am I completely in trouble, and just wasted that money? Thanks for the help.

I purchased a 'creative webcam instant' recently but my disc drive has stopped working, i am looking for a downloadable version of the installation disc ..... can anyone help i am dying to get it up and running!!!

HP OMEN Control Software No Longer Works After Windows 10 Upgrade

HP OMEN Control no longer works after the recent Windows 10 update. Profile switching, keyboard LED colors, zones, fn key options, etc. no longer respond at all. I've found references to this issue during Windows 10 beta testing. Is there a temporary workaround? Will there be a driver update to remedy this problem? Thanks.

I just purchased a new 2015 refurbished PC. It worked great with Windows 8.1. Upon installing Windows 10, The Omen control did not work as well as the fan. Really - hardware failure. Give us a break. So, I went back to Windows 8.1. Also this year, I purchased an Envy X2. This PC included a bluetooth keyboard that kept detatching. Again - REALLY, the keyboard doesn't work. That's a pretty important part of the PC. I searched the forum for answers and all I found was the same old line that HP was working on it. I found meesages over a year old that had this same problem. So, back it went to Best Buy. I used to really like HP computers, but now, I can't say that anymore. So, do I trust HP to fix this in a timely manner, NO. Why - because they had to know about this issue alrady for quite a while. And, they did not fix it. I really hope they prove me wrong.!! I will give them 1 more week to fix it. After that, the PC will be returned. And HP PCs will be off my scratched off my list, except maybe the HP Spectre X360. To my amazement, I am even considering a MacBook Pro. Funny thing - the Spectre X360 is supposed to be a great laptop, But, Microsoft was heavily involved in the design process. That is certainly not an HP confidence buider. HP - THIS IS YOUR TIME TO "STEP UP TO THE PLATE" and fix this mess. TImes like these are opportuniies to win over customers or loose customers to the competiion. I really want to keep this PC. It is by your response to this problem that will determine the outcome.

Desktop Software no longer working

I have been using the Desktop Software 7.1 for sometime and now it doesnt work any longer. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Device Manager and the Desktop Software numerous times. I can launch the Desktop Software but it just sits at a black screen and does nothing else. Any help would be appreciated.

Xi-Fi Fatal1ty update , software no longer works

just bought fatality card and installed with drivers /software of cd, then went to creatives site and downloaded newest driver 2.07.004 released 5//05, now none of the software works, stating audio device incompatible!, tried rebooting and also reinstalling software, to no avail, for time being uninstalled driver/ software and reinstalled driver and software from cd again, now working, but would like to know if this is just happening to me and if not, is there a workaround?

Did you use the autoupdate or manually downloaded and install those driver. Maybe you should re-download and install again to see if the same thing does happen again.

Nikon RAW editing software no longer works, why?

Hi all
Nikon NX2 is one of my central tools on my Mac since as a professional photographer I really need it to handle RAW images. It is by far superior to all and any other products for handling RAW (NEF/DNG) files.
Nikon seem to have stopped support for Lion and Mountain Lion, which has left me in a quandry. It means that I now run most of my work and software from an external Firewire drive with 10.8.3 installed, while retaining my 10.6.8 on the internal drive to run NX.
I have asked Nikon and have had no satisfactory response.
So my question really is if anyone here has a workaround or solution to this dilemma.

All third party software no longer works

I've been trying to open Microsoft Word, Seashore, and so on today, and for some reason none of them will open anymore, whereas all of my first party software is fine as usual.
The only thing I think it could be is that I ran the program that deleted all the unneccesary languages earlier on today. I didn't try any of the third party software before that, so I can't be sure if the two are connected.
I don't really want to restore the laptop to factory settings, is there another way to get the programs to work again, or undo what that program uninstalled?

Yes, it was monolingual.
I definitely didn't delete "english", but I didn't see the option for US English, so maybe it was that.
I think the program also deleted some operating systems, for other computers like G5 and stuff.
I tried reinstalling the third party software and there was no change.
Restoring the whole system isn't that much of a problem, the only annoying thing would be transferring all the music from my other computer again, but it isn't a huge issue really.
What is the best way of restoring the system? Do I just put the Mac OX install disks in and follow some options?

HT201250 how uninstall mountain lion - nikon coolscan software no longer works

After installing mountain lion a few moments ago, I have not lost a valuable resource - the ability to use my Nikon CoolScan 5000. Since this product cost a lot of money, I would like to just uninstall mountain so that I can still use the software associated with this great scanner.
I have never used the Apple Support Community before, so not sure if this is manned by employees of Apple who can help me or if this more other Apple Users.

Good news. I took the iMac to the local Apple Store and the Apple Geniuses at the Genius Bar were able to help me out. Since I had Time Machine backing up files they were able to wipe everything from computer and reload back to where I was. I still have the installation option to re-install Mountain Lion if I want, but for now I am going to keep where I am.
So if you ever run into this problem, schedule an appointment at the Genius Bar.

After latest updates Studio Software no longer works...

After the most recent pro Apps update all my Studio 2 apps except DVD Studio Pro have quit working. I am working with a Dual 1.8 GHz PPC G5 with 3 GB of ram and OS X 10.4.11. I have installed all the most recent updates for all the programs including Quicktime.
Has any one else experienced the same thing?
Suggestions how to identify or fix the problem?

Reinstall of FCP 6 did not seem to fix anything so I have reinstalled FCP 4.5 only to discover it will not work with HDV footage.
I am wondering if the problem is with my computer in that perhaps it can not run FCP 6. It is a Dual 1.8 GHz PPC G5 with 3 GB of sdram and an ATI Radeon 9600 XT video card running an Apple studio Display and an Acer 2416W Display.
Could this be the problem?

Non-Apple Software No Longer Works

Had a weird experience this AM. Was checking email via Safari when a screen popped up asking for permission to update software. I declined, because I didn't know who was trying to do what (i.e., there were no update icons in the Dock, etc.). Then, the fun began.
I tried to open EXCEL next and it wouldn't open. It immediately failed with a message saying the application quit unexpectedly, etc., etc. Same thing happened with every other Office app. After much discussion with Apple, then Microsoft, and then Apple again, I was able to un-install Mcrosoft Office but the kicker is: I got the same failure when I tried to re-install the apps from the CD (i.e., I got an immediate failure when I double-clicked the install icon).
With Microsoft's help, I was able to set up another user profile with Admin capability, and the apps installed just fine using that profile. So, the problem appears to be with my main profile. However, Apple is stumped and gave up trying to help me.
So, I'm now in the situation where the Apps are on my machine under 1 profile and the data is under another profile. AND, I just discovered that Quicken fails when I try to iopen it in my 1st Profile too.
So,
1. Has this happened to anyone else out there? If so, how'd you get around it?
2. Is there a way to share files between profiles? I know I can probably copy the Microsoft files on a portable drive, but I'm concerned about the Quicken database. Not sure how to transport this data between Users.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
PS. I'm running Snow Leopard. There are no pending software updates.
