Webcam not detected in Compact Presario C769CA Notebook - Windows Vista 32-bit

The webcam is not detected in my notebook, it is NOT shown in the Device Manager or in the Imaging devices: I have done a scan for driver updates and the result said that all drivers are up to date, but the webcam is still not detected.
Where can I get the driver for this webcam?
Any help is appreciated to get this webcam working.

Do you have the cyberlink youcam software installed?
If yes, then I don't know why the webcam isn't working.

curious to know, does it work on any instant messaging program such as Y!Messenger, Windows Live Messenger?
If it does then, you will need to check with the Skype support team.
if it does not, then try uninstalling the webcam driver. let windows install its generic driver and try again

X201 Wireless Card not detectable (Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN) (Windows 7 64 bit)

Hey!
I have a slight problem here.
We have 5 machines that got shipped with Windows 7 32 bit versions for two weeks ago, I tested all of them to make sure nothing was defect or such things but everything was fine (The wireless network card was clearly visible in device manager).
For two days ago, we recived recovery discs to upgrade these machines to 64 bit versions.
After installing it on 2 computers that was previously 32 bit versions, I am not able to detect the wireless network card anymore.
I have used System Update to try and find it but to no avail.
The card itself is not even detected by Device Manager (No unkown device or anything either, it have simply dissapeared).
I do know the card is present there so I downloaded two different drivers (1 from Lenovo homepage and another one from a driver update tool) (13.1.1.1 and 13.2.0.30).
I made a manual search and installed the drivers and the card itself by using "Add Legacy hardware" in device manager and picked the card.
It is now detectable in Device Manager but with following error code:
"The device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (Code 31).
I have tested both versions but same error code persists, System Update won't help either since it says that there are no new updates for this machine (same thing with Windows Update).
The card was functioning properly in 32 bit version but decided to crap out when upgrading to 64 bit, have there been frequent problems regarding wireless networking with 64 bit?

We have the same problem with 6 new X201 machines preloaded with Win 7 32bit
After reloading the X201 with the Win 7 64bit recovery media the wireless network card disappears.
You learn to disassemble the laptop quickly to get to the CMOS battery because thats the olution I found
Disconnect the CMOS battery to reset BIOS settings completely and the network card appears in windows again.
Even when we tried the same recovery media on a T500 to test it, the same happened. The CMOS battery solution got the WLAN card working again.
I have reported this to Lenovo but havent heard from them yet.

Webcam not detected on HP Pavilion 17-e053ca, Bilingual Notebook

Im using the HP Pavilion 17-e053ca, Bilingual Notebook and I recently noticed I cannot use my webcam anymore.
I opened Skype one day and couldnt video call.
Re-Installed the drivers from the official website http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4132&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=6550...
but to no avail,webcam still not working. Even YouCam say Webcam not detected.
Im running Windows 8 Build 9200. NB It had been working all this time.
In Device Manager under USB controllers there is a device that says : Unknown USB Device (Set Address Failed)

Pavilion dv4 webcam not detected

I have the Pavilion dv4-1454ca notebook and I am having problems with the computer identifying the webcam. I changed the OS to Windows Vista 64-bit and ever since then my webcam doesn't work. I have followed all the steps in fixing webcam after changing the OS on the solve a problem section of the HP website but there is no Imaging Device detected at all in the Device Manager and now I am stuck. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Webcam Not Detected [HP TrueVision HD]

I have the HP Pavilion dv7-6b57nr Entertainment Notebook PC. Currently running Windows 7. When I open the program provided for the webcam (YouCam) it says webcam not detected. I have reinstalled this program a few times to attempt to install the driver for the webcam but the issue persists with an error saying "No Webcam Detected" or whatever it is. I have been to the device manager and the webcam is not listed there (which I know would be Imaging Devices or something like that). I have heard that many others with dv7's have been having issues with the webcam as well. I have not had my laptop for very long. Some of the solutions I've heard that work are smacking it which I've tried but doesn't work. I've read up that this issue is merely an issue in workmanship and is problem with wiring. I would like to know how to get this fixed please. I would like to get this fixed as soon as possible

First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:

You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

Xi-Fi Audio Notebook Windows Vista 32

I have a new laptop notebook with Windows Vista 32 bit and cannot get my Xi-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook card to output 4. surround sound. When I do the speaker test, only the front right and front left speakers make sound. I read through some posts that I should disable onboard audio in my bios? How do I do that?

Hi,Im having exactly the same problem with vista it's very frustrating, only two of the speakers are playing sound. Just got this today but I won't be able to do anything over the weekend as I'm away but will experiment during the week. One thing I can say is when I put inthe sound card and let vista pick it up (i.e not install creative drivers) then went into speaker settings for the sound card (only listed as High definition audio card by vista) and chose 6. and did a speaker test each speaker did output sound so it means the hardware can potentially communicate to the system. However when I try to play a song etc it still only comes out of the two speakers so I think with a bit of tweaking it should be ok. I will get back to you on my results.

After rebooting my Windows Vista 64 bit system, could not access iTunes; after uninstalling I tried reinstalling, but it has been running for more than 24 hrs. Should I cancel installation?

I had been updating my Windows Vista 64 bit system and as a result of a problem, had to reboot my system. Afterwards, I was no longer able to access iTunes. I got a message stating that there was a problem with some of the files associated with the application. A phone rep at Apple's Customer Service provided me with emails linking instructions on completely uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. I did the uninstall, then checked for lingering iTunes files and couldn't completely remove some, but tried intalling the latest version of iTunes. It has been running for roughly 24 hours. The status bar is green all the way across, and when I try to cancel, I get the following message: "Are you sure you want to cancel iTunes installation?" I keep hitting "no," but am staring to wonder if there is a problem with the install. Should it take this long if I have roughly 134 gigs of music? I can still see the music in my computer's C drive, so I am worried that there is an error, perhpas because I didn't clear out all the lingering C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\ and all the lingering C:\Program Files\iTunes\. Any thoughts?

It is not just the HP. I have 3 HP computes and 2 Dell computers. 2 of the HP and 1 Dell suffer the iTunes internet block. Took me a while to figure it out also. But, the one thing that is different on the Dell, is that I can leave iTunes installed and not open it and everything works. As soon as I open it, internet access goes down. BUT secure sites (https:) works fine.

QuickTime 7.7 for windows vista 64 bit will not stream for me,anyone else having problems?

Just downloaded Firefox 4 on Windows Vista 32-bit and its not working at all.

So I just downloaded Firefox 4 on Windows Vista 32-bit, and it's not working at all. I open up Firefox and there is not tab bar, and all the command buttons are repeated 3 times, and are on 3 different bars. This only happens with Firefox 4 and not Firefox 3.6.10. Also, when I go the menu bar and I try to click soething, nothing happens. I'm not sure why this is going on. Help anyone? Here is a link to a screenshot of my browser.

I have this too, but doesn't even startup now? I downgraded to the previous version and all is OK. I also have a 64 bit version of Vista and it seems to work "a-OK" on that machine.
Seems to me to be 32-bit issue.

I just seen a possible answer...Do you have roboform installed (in the taskbar also)? If so, try disabling it or removing it and try to start again. I said above that I have 2 units and on the one (32-bit) I have Roboform installed and it crashes, but on the other one I don't...so go figure.
According to the report I read, if you upgrade Roboform it should be OK, although I have not tested as of yet...I am still at work...

Crystal Report XI R2 version 11.5 not run on Windows Vista 64 bit OS

We have created the Windows Vista 64 bit Development Environment with u201CCrystal Report XI R2u201D version 11.5 . When we try to run report it gives following error
"An error has ocured while attempting to load Crystal Reports runtime.
Either the Crystal Report Registery key permissions are insufficient or the Crystal Reports runtime not installed correctly.
Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or itanium) required. Please go to http://www.bisinessobjects.com/support for more information"
Then we Installed Crystal Reports redistributable from u201CC:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Crystal Reports\CRRedist\X64\CRRedist2005_X64.msiu201D
and run the report we got same error.
Its working properly on Windows XP 32 bit Development Environment.
Please advice.

Couple of things to consider;
1) CR XI r2 is not 64 bit
2) The MSI you installed is for CR 10.2 which ships with .NET 2005, not CR XI r2.
3) To use CR XI r2 on Vista, you must have applied at least SP 4
