  • Wli 9.2 task plan editor doesn't work on linux?

    Hi there,
    When I attempt to create a task plan on linux (ubuntu 6.10), the task plan editor does not display.
    A look at the eclipse log reveals that it can't find a 'cairo' graphics library (see log extract below).
    The task plan can still be viewed in XML format but not in the task plan editor.
    Anyone know how to resolve this?
    hopefully the task plan editor doesn't only work on windows?!

  • Upgrading a project from Weblogic Integration 8.1.3 to Weblogic Integration

    Can anyone offer any advice to assist me in upgrading a project from Weblogic Integration 8.1.3 to Weblogic Integration 9.2.1?
    Here are some nuances of the project:
    * The JNDI, JDBC, & JMS server resources are secured; access is controlled by Deployment Descriptor run-as/security-role/... tags and custom CSPs
    * The application is currently build for deployment using wlwBuild ant task (class in workshop.core.WlwBuildTask which is located in the 8.1.3 {weblogic.home}/workshop/wlw-ide.jar - so far I can't find this class/task in my 9.2.1 install)
    * The following are the application characteristics (and utilized WLI features): multiple web apps, EJBs, JMS, Page flow/netUI, web services, WLI controls (process, java, transformation), XMLBeans
    * One of the project goals is to not make any functional changes and modify as little code as necessary (the only expected justification for a modification is a) fallout out from the JVM 1.5 upgrade or b) something is no longer available in WLI 9.2)
    I know there is a edocs page with a tutorial for upgrading from 8.1.4 or 8.1.5 to 9.2, but I am interested in knowing if anyone has insight on upgrading directly from 8.1.3?
    Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

    I have BEA 9.2 Platform running on Windows 2000 Professional Service pack 3.
    Incidentally, I started pointbase manually (startPointBase.cmd), started PointBase Console (startPointBaseConsole.cmd) in order to execute the SQLAuthenticator.sql script. This all failed because this SQL script refers to tables GROUPS and USERS, which did not exist in my PointBase schema.
    What worked for me was:
    1. Create a new domain, and only select Workshop for WebLogic, WebLogic Portal, and WebLogic Integration options.
    2. Select YES to Customize Environment and Services Settings tab.
    3. Take defaults until the Run Database Scripts dialog box.
    4. On the Run Database Scripts dialog box, run the scripts for p13nDatasource and cgDataSource-nonXA.
    5. Take default on the remaining steps, and after domain creation the "Run Database Scripts" dialog box shouldn't appear, and the domain should start properly.I'm curious though as what would one do if instead of PointBase DB, we use MS SQL 2000,
    for all the relevant databases in an Integration domain? Thanks.

  • Weblogic Integration 9.2 - Domain Configuration SQLAuthenticator

    hi
    <p>
    After downloading, the new vesrion, I started to use the Configuration Wizard to set up a Test Domain.
    <p>
    At the completion of the configuration, the following message is presented:
    <p>
    "This domain is configured to use the SQL authenticator security provider. You must load database tables in the "Run Database Scripts" panel or load the tables manually after completing the wizard using the SQL file located at ..... /security/SQLAuthenticator.sql"
    <p>
    1: This is something new as far as I can tell. At least I've never encountered it and I have installed earler versions of 9.2, ALSB recently
    <p>
    2: when setting up a new domain, neither the server nor pointbase are running. Hence the scripts cant be run from withiin the Config Wizard.
    <p>
    3: Cant start the Admin server for the new domain because the tables are not set up
    <p>
    4: How do I run the .sql script manually? I'm assuming the PB Console but I dont actually know the Pointbase Datbase name that I should connect to for this purpose
    <p>
    5: I can't find any discussion of this in the release notes, upgrade notes etc.
    <p>
    So I'm stuck. This seems a pretty strange way to do things. Any advise would be appreciated.

    It shoud not took 3 hours. Normally, you expect wait for 1 -2 minutes.
    For your case, I suggest to
    (1)run the cleanWF.cmd script then shutdown the server
    (2)restart the server
    (3) run cleanWF again
    (4) run the sample.
    let me know if you still have problems

    however, it didn't say how long you should wait. Please advise, thanks.

  • WebLogic Integration help me?

    Hi,
    We are planning to use WLS as our new portal
    site platform. We already have an e-commerce
    server and want to integrate it with WL server.
    (The components of the e-commerce server are
    written in Perl and communicate to each other in
    their own protocol.) We want to use this server
    as our shopping engine in our site.
    I am just wondering how WL Ingegration can help me.
    Can any body give me some suggestions?
    What additional components that our original
    server should provide?
    Please let me know if I describe the scenario unclearly.
    Thanks.
    David Lin

    David,
    WebLogic Integration could provide a platform for easier integration of
    other applications and businesses for your portal. You would have to
    look at your Portal and Backend Application architecture. Chances are,
    it will not always be one type of architecture/technologies or
    applications. But you will need to share information between all of
    them.
    WLI provides several parts that help you do the end to end integration,
    all built using the J2EE based WebLogic Server Platform:
    1 - Business Process Management - this is a Process Engine that gives
    you flexiblity on how your components are used in your application. Your
    applications no longer need to be hardcoded at a source code level or
    script level. It provides the glue between your different components
    with a Visio like flowchart visual graphical interface. It also allows
    you to monitor your business process instances in a runtime environment.
    The business processes can be initiated either using Event Messages
    (normally XML, but don't have to be) or using a java API.
    2 - Application Integration - this is a integration framework built on
    the J2EE Connection Architecture standard, that allows you to integrate
    with backend applications at a business level (referred to as Enterprise
    Information Systems, or EIS in the spec).
    This framework allows you to integration with the EIS at a business
    level (using XML msgs). The framework accesses the EIS using a resource
    adapter (defined as part of the specification). Since the J2EE
    Connection Architecture is a java standard (part of J2EE 1.3 spec),
    resource adapters will be available for main EIS systems (applications
    like SAP, ...). The business level services can be called from a
    Business Process or they can be used to start a Business Process as
    well.
    3 - Data Integration - provides data translation (XML<->non-XML) and
    data transformation (XML<->XML). These can be called from a Business
    Process.
    4 - B2B Integration - allows you to extend your Business Processes
    across the internet with secure, reliable messaging to other companies
    you do business with. These can be suppliers, distributors, logistic
    companies ...
    Since your current components are based on Perl, there would be some
    initial work needed to access these from WLI. This could be done by
    writing a java wrapper (either as a java class or an EJB) that would
    call your perl scripts. This would allow you to call your perl scripts
    from Business Processes.
    The Business Process provides the flexiblity to change the process
    without having to change source code. The process engine also allows you
    to view active Business Process Instances, to see what point it is at in
    the Process. You could then use the WLI Application Integration to share
    information with your back end applications at a business level
    interface.
    There is a lot more information about each part of WebLogic Integration,
    so I would suggest you contact a local BEA person for more information.
    Online documentation on WLI is available at edocs.bea.com.
    Hope this information is helpful.

  • Deployment Weblogic Integration Application failure !

    Hi,
    I've a problem when I'm deploying my application on BEA Weblogic 9.2 !
    If I'm deploying via the Administration console my application, I'm getting :
    Unable to access the selected application.
    Exception in AppMerge flows' progression
    This is due to the weblogic-extension.xml file in my ear file (under META-INF). This is the content of this file :
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
    <weblogic-extension xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90">
    <module-provider>
    <name>TaskPlanModule</name>
    <module-factory-class-name>com.bea.wli.worklist.internal.taskplan.module.TaskPlanModuleFactory</module-factory-class-name>
    <binding-jar-uri>task-plan-binding.jar</binding-jar-uri>
    </module-provider>
    <custom-module>
    <uri>Loans/Loan Approval.task</uri>
    <provider-name>TaskPlanModule</provider-name>
    <configuration-support>
    <base-root-element>task-plan</base-root-element>
    <base-namespace>java:com.bea.wli.worklist.internal.taskplan.config</base-namespace>

    </configuration-support>
    </custom-module>
    </weblogic-extension>
    When I'm packaging my application without this file, the console deployment works but I do not have access to my task plan !
    If I deploy my application WITH weblogic-extension.xml, it works too...
    But with the console... the error appears all the time !
    To install my application at my customer, I need that the console deployment of my application works !
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Best regards,
    Mathieu Triquoit

    If the application is worklist not sure you can deploy it through console. you can deploy using
    weblogic.Deployer -adminurl t3://<HOST>:7001 -username weblogic -password weblogic -deploy -name WorklistTest -source WorklistTest.ear ?upload

  • How to map a resource-ref in Jdev11 deployment plan editor

    Hi all,
    I have a ADF/BC web application where the BC4J application module does connect to a JNDI data source.
    The ViewController project does declare the Datasource as needed resource in its web.xml:
    <resource-ref>
    <res-ref-name>jdbc/wlogDS</res-ref-name>
    <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
    <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>
    Now i need to map that resouurce-ref to an actual data source that exist in the application container at deploy time.
    As already in JDev 10.1.3 the deployment-plan editor provided during deployment from JDeveloper does not provide any means to enter the deployment mapping for that resourc-ref (When clicking on the node (which is named resouce-ref - that becomes very confusing in case you have defined three resource-refs in your web.xml) the right pane shows a gray pane without any edit controls) So I cannot enter the resource-ref-mapping unsing the Jdev UI.
    My workaround in 10.1.3 was to save the deployment plan to disk and manually edit it, adding
    <resource-ref-mapping name="jdbc/wlogDS" location="jdbc/wlogTestEnvDS">
    </resource-ref-mapping>
    to the orion-web-app document for that webapp
    But in Jdev 11 the deployment plan file format changed (including some binary inline checksums???)and when doing exactly the same thing, the loading of the manually edited file into Jdev Deployment plan editor fails with

    So no chance here to add a resource-ref-mapping. The alternative way of specifying a resource-ref-mapping using the web-based deployment proces of the Enterprise manager is impossible because the 11g preview OC4j does not include an enterprise manger web-application.
    So how do I deploy the application correctly other that manually modifying the deployed orion-web-app.xml file in j2ee/home/application-deployments/earName/warName/orion-web-app.xml after deploying the app without a resource-ref-mapping? Because doing that step manually each time is quite annoying.
    Greetings,
    Thomas

    Seems i'm slowly answering my own questions :-) I finally got my RMI service, even using several methods. But ...
    It doesnt help me as the lookups are not done on the context classloader it seems. That means i need to add all my service jars to the global class path causing massive sealing issues with the war contained jars. Pretty useless. All the needed stubs etc are in the war.
    But as it seems that the web app needs to contain deployment site info (sun-web.xml) anyway, i could just as easy read my own web xml from the context and resolve the services myself. But i do wonder how this is supposed to work with EJB and CORBA stuff. The samples actually also needed to add stuff to the global class path.
    I'm probably not the easiest customer as i write this kind of middle ware for a living but i really like sjsws. It makes my own one partly obsolete as it is almost as fast and has all the fancy deployment stuff (in my case i use an in-house mobile agent frame work and agents that travel the various networks ) and infinitely easier to learn to work with and understand In case anyone is wondering i wrote Uhura because 1. i needed speed so it is a servlet based webserver and not a web server with a servlet module. 2. could not wait on ibm to fix bugs in webspere and we only used the servlet bit. 2. i needed full J2EE security and 3. i needed it to run on many OS'es
    That is why i still need the same war files to be able to be deployed in both systems as i still need my systems going on IBM iservers etc.
    Again i would welcome some feed back on such and related issues
    Cheers,
    Peter

  • Issue with creating array of custom data type - WebLogic Integration

    Hi,
    We are doing WebLogic integration with Siebel for which from Siebel side we have generated java wrapper class which has all the methods, input\outputs defined and in\out params are serialized along with get\set methods. Following are the details of the input\output args.
    Account_EMRIO.java
    public class Account_EMRIO implements Serializable, Cloneable, SiebelHierarchy {
    protected String fIntObjectFormat = null;
    protected String fMessageType = "Integration Object";
    protected String fMessageId = null;
    protected String fIntObjectName = "Account_EMR";
    protected String fOutputIntObjectName = "Account_EMR";
    protected ArrayList <AccountIC> fintObjInst = null;
    Above class also includes constructors\overloaded constructor\getters\setters
    public AccountIC getfintObjInst() {
    if(fintObjInst != null) {
    return (AccountIC)fintObjInst.clone();
    }else{
    return null;
    public void setfintObjInst(AccountIC val) {
    if(val != null) {
    if(fintObjInst == null) {
    fintObjInst = new ArrayList<AccountIC>();
    fintObjInst.add(val);
    For the nested user defined data type AccountIC, it is defined in another java class as below
    AccountIC.java
    public class AccountIC implements Serializable, Cloneable, SiebelHierarchy {
    protected String fname = null;
    protected String fParent_Account_Id= null;
    protected String fPrimary_Organization = null;
    With the above, I was able to get all the AccountIC in the wsdl correctly and using this I was able to set the input param in the client
    WSDL:
    <xs:complexType name="accountEMRIO">
    <xs:sequence>
    <xs:element name="fIntObjectFormat" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    <xs:element name="fIntObjectName" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    <xs:element name="fMessageId" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    <xs:element name="fMessageType" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    <xs:element name="fOutputIntObjectName" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    <xs:element name="fintObjInst" type="tns:accountIC" minOccurs="0"/>
    </xs:sequence>
    <xs:complexType name="accountIC">
    <xs:sequence>
    <xs:element name="fName" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    <xs:element name="fParent_Account_Id" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    <xs:element name="fPrimary_Organization" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    minOccurs="0"/>
    </xs:sequence>
    </xs:complexType>
    Now, I wanted to make slight difference in getter method of class Account_EMRIO method getfintObjInst so that an array of AccountIC is retured as output.
    public ArrayList<AccountIC> getfintObjInst() {
    if(fintObjInst != null) {
    return (ArrayList<AccountIC>)fintObjInst.clone();
    }else{
    return null;
    With the above change, once the wsdl is generated, I am no longer getting fintObjInst field for AccountIC due to which I am unable to get the array list of accountIC
    WSDL:
    <xs:complexType name="accountEMRIO">
    <xs:sequence>
    <xs:element name="fIntObjectFormat" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    <xs:element name="fIntObjectName" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    <xs:element name="fMessageId" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    <xs:element name="fMessageType" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    <xs:element name="fOutputIntObjectName" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
    </xs:sequence>
    </xs:complexType>
    The issue that I am facing here is, we have a custom data type(AccountIC) which has several fields in it. In the output I need a array of AccountIC. In the java bean, when this type was defined as
    protected ArrayList <AccountIC> fintObjInst = null; I was unable to get a array of AccountIC. this gets complicated as inside a AccountIC there is array of contacts as well and all the time I am getting just the first records and not a array.
    To summarize: How to get xsd:list or maxoccurs property for a field in WSDL for the user defined\custom datatype?
    Can someone help me with this.
    Thanks,
    Sudha.

    can someone help with this??

  • Weblogic Integration 10r3 error in msg-header-2_0.xml

    Hello,
    I am trying to go through te WLI workshops, but cannot publish a WLI process.
    The Tutorial_Process_Application RequestQoute.java has the following error in the msg-header-2_0.xml:
    Severity and Description     Path     Resource     Location     Creation Time     Id
    Referenced file contains errors (http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-html401-19991224/strict.dtd). For more information, right click on the message and select "Show Details..."     Tutorial_Process_Application_Utility/schemas/system     msg-header-2_0.xsd     line 1     1257804610777     410
    A new WLI project from scratch gives te same error, it is as if the msg-header-2_0.xml is not correctly generated when the WLI process is created.

    Aha! problem solved :)
    The tutorial states : 'Select the Add WebLogic Integration System and Control Schemas to Utility Project check box to add the system schemas to the Schemas folder under the Utility project.'
    If you do that it does not work, and i get the errors I discribed in the post, howerver if ypu leave it blanked out, the process can be published, without error or warnings.
    As I am new to WLI (use to work with Oracle Bpel) I have no idea about the importance of adding the Integration system and control schemas to the utility project.
    However as my goal is to work through the workshops, I wil worry about it later.

  • WLST and WebLogic Integration

    Hi all,
    I have installed WebLogic Integration 8.5 bundle. Meaning i have also installed weblogic server 8.1. on Windows XP
    I am now trying to use Weblogic Scripting Tool WLST. But there is no tools on the menu(tools->weblogic scripting tool) this was added in the 9.1 installation...
    How do I configure my installation weblogic server 8.1 with WLI8.5 to run WLST?
    after i run setELSEnv.cmd to set the environment. Then i try java weblogic.WLST and the error is "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/WLST"
    Where are the libs, how do i configure WLST to run.
    I also tried starting the WLST from the 9.1 installation, but it cannot connect to 8.1 installation, tough connecting to 9.1 installation is no problem. If i try i get this error: "weblogic.management.ManagementRuntimeException: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: isCachable"
    (I installed weblogic 9.1 and there the WLST was installed during installation and all works just fine. unfortenatly my system must run on 8.1->wli8.5)

    Hi
    I am trying to use WLST tool for configuring Weblogic domain in 9.1 OFFLINE.
    I have done with almost all except JTA configuration.
    Can you please give me smaples for the same.
    The following is part iof my script...
    readTemplate('F:/AuctionDoc/Installer/inDomain.jar')
    cd('/JDBCSystemResource/localNonTxPool/JdbcResource/localNonTxPool')
    create('myJdbcDataSourceParams','JDBCDataSourceParams')
    cd('JDBCDataSourceParams/NO_NAME_0')
    set('JNDIName', 'jdbc/NonTxDataSource')
    #JDBC settings and other JMS settings worked
    But the JTA settings dint work
    #=======================================================================================
    # Set JTA timeout
    #=======================================================================================
    cd("/JTA/inInstDomain")
    set("TimeoutSeconds", "1200")
    set("AbandonTimeoutSeconds", "1200")
    I have to do the above OFFLINE.
    I could not locate the JTA folder or any thing related with JTA configuration to do offline using WLST
    Can you please give an example of JTA settings
    Thanks
    Binu
