Webmail stopped working

Hi!
I just had some trouble with my mail-services this week, but these are fixed now, thanks to pterobyte.
Yesterday one person wanted to activate his holiday auto-responder, I realized that webmail stopped working. I had a look at ServerAdmin, but there look nothing special...
In the Site config window the services Wiki, Blog, Calendar and WebMail are all activated, but when I go to the default starting page, the page responds after some seconds, that all these services are deactivated. How is this possible?? I tried restarting the Web service and also restarted the whole machine (174 days uptime was set to 0 now!). But this did not help at all!

I am not using the Web service too much, mostly for Squirrel-Mail settung up server-side rules for mail-sorting and auto-responders. But anyway, this is very important to me.

Actually, when it goes to the authentication site it is an HTTPS address (HTTP secure) when it actually passes the login credentials for verification. Usually happens so fast you don't notice, but if you watch the lower left of the browser window carefully you might be able to catch the HTTPS address flash by.

Mail and Notes stopped working on my Macbook after 10.8.5 upgrade iOS7 upgrade

I recently upgraded my system to 10.8.5.
I also recently upgraded my 2 iphones to iOS7.
Then i found out my Notes were not syncing on my macbook pro, but the sync works fine on both iphones and when i check the iCloud website, they are also updated.
Then mail also stopped working and after reading some posts on this forum, i understand that mail and notes are somehow connected (both using IMAP?)..
I can't configure my iCloud email account on the mail app, i get a "iCloud IMAP « p03-imap.mail.me.com » not responding" answer, whatever i do. I tried deleting the account, deleting all entries linked to the mail app in the keychain, changing my iCloud password to match new apple password requirements.... nothing works.
And all my other email accounts don't work anymore either. Mail just won't connect with any Imap or Pop server.
My internet works fine, I can access all those emails account via webmail interfaces.
Again, my iCloud works fine on all other iOS7 devices.
What's the problem??

Mail.
Hold down the option key and go to Finder/Go, then select your User Library. Select Containers/com.apple.mail. Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.
Re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. You can then put the folder in the Trash. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.

I have 2 Macs, 2 iPads and an iPhone. My bellsouth account suddenly stopped working. Help is needed any advice. I have tried deleting readding. Force quit the app. I restarted device. I turned I cloud email off. What am I missing?

You have more faith in ATT than I do.
Webmail uses different Servers than Mail does, so Webmail can easily work & not regular Mail.
Hopefully they can figure it out for you.

Safari webmail not working

Just recently, Safari will no longer open email messages, delete mail, or view any folders in my webmail viewed through safari. When i try to do the mentioned tasks, the loading bar stops a quarter of the way through then freezes. I can access my mail through firefox. the webmail program is Microsoft Outlook Web Access, used to view my school email. It has always worked in the past, and yesterday stopped working for no reason. any ideas?!

Mail on Mac stopped working

In last 24hrs my mail has stopped working on my Mac Pro. It is an iCloud account. All other accounts are working and the same iCloud account is working on my iPhone and iPad. I notice that the incoming servere info is grayed out wit the p01- infron of the incoming server info. Also, Mail is taking up a huge amount of memory. Also, I cannot delete the drafts of emails I was thinking of sending but couldn't. Thanks

Yes, thanks for all your help with your very informative links, Apple could (should) learn customer support from you.
However my wife's MacBookPro was changed over to iCloud a couple of weeks ago as she inherited my iPad 2 when I got a new iPad 3 (mind you it was always a fight as to who got the iPad 2 anyway) Unfortunately even though its still going strong it can't be upgraded to Lion so I went through all your very informative 'how to' when her mail suddenly stopped, as the OP said, due to the password being constantly rejected.
Having had Apples since 1988 I tried all the usual work abouts and fixes but to no avail and even your 'how to' gets nowhere either and believe me I've tried it three times being especially careful as to what I entered and yes the password is correct as she can get webmail on iCloud and on the iPad 2.
As JLStom says its a shame when "Apple help" say that the only thing is to go to Lion knowing full well you have a machine that can't install that version and just give up on you.
Anyway thanks again for all your help. Apple should appoint you Senior VP of Customer Services.

How do I open hotmail messages, delete, compose, etc. ? It has stopped working since May 31st.

On May 31st , 2010 my hotmail stopped working properly with Firefox. After logging in to my account, I see that I have new messages, but cannot read them, or read the old messages. I cannot delete, compose, or do anything with my messages. I can access hotmail through explorer but would rather continue to use firefox. What can I do to fix it? I have tried downloading the newest version of firefox but that didn't help. My hotmail address is [email protected]

I have a problem similar to [email protected], except that I use AT&T webmail instead of Hotmail, using Firefox 3.6.9 and running WinXP SP3. It started just a couple of days ago. The email header shows up, but I cannot read the content of the email, either in the reading pane or by double-clicking the email to open the full window for email. I can read my email using IE7 (opens very slowly) or Google Chrome.

ICloud services stop working suddenly? Read if you use OpenDNS

If your iCloud services like Find My Friends or Find My iPhone have stopped working on your devices recently while connected to your wifi network, and you get errors about not being connected to the Internet, and you use OpenDNS domain filtering services on your network, you might want to add icloud.com to your OpenDNS whitelist. It appears that they just added icloud.com to various blocking filters like chat, file storage, etc.
You'll know if OpenDNS is blocking your access if you use your desktop browser to go to iCloud.com and you get the OpenDNS block page. That's how I finally figured out what the problem was. I was going to try to log into iCloud from my browser to make sure my account was not hacked.
I wonder how many support calls Apple is getting because of this...
Anyway, I hope this helps others who might find themselves with icloud services not working suddenly on their devices.

Thanks for your posting. I observed the same situation at my location and it seems that someone inserted the "icloud.com" domain in the "Instant Messaging" category as I block that one.
At the moment of writing these lines, the "icloud.com" domain is part of the following categories at OpenDNS:
Instant messaging
Chat
File storage
Webmail
Software/Technology
Some solutions will be for you to either whitelist the entire 'icloud.com" domain or allow the above mentionned categories.

My Mac mail suddenly stopped working

My Mac mail suddenly stopped working. The last email I have is from 4:40 or so this morning and I know that I have email because I can get it via a webmail program. It stopped working on my iPhone 4 too. Any ideas? It's IMAP if that means anything. Thanks.

I'd recommend also reposting in the Snow Leopard forum because Mail is part of SL If both sending and receiving is not working then contact your ISP and see if they have any known issues. If they don' t what I've found to work is removing the account in Mail and then recreating it.

Nokia Messaging Stopped working

Last week Hotmail stopped syncing. I recovered this by manually checking all passwords etc, all were correct but it seemed to force the correction anyway. Today, both gmail and hotmail have stopped working. Have checked all settings and reinstalled NM yet still no sync!?
Any ideas!?

This is simply unbelieveable. I have no words left to describe my utmost disgust with Nokia E-mail, Nokia E71 and all things Nokia.
Since we all agree the built-in Nokia e-mail application is a piece of **bleep**, I started using Nokia E-mail (Messaging). Two days ago I stopped receiving e-mails (again!!!), and spent countless hours trying to fix it (the "countless hours" include a complete waste of time in contacting Nokia Canada in search for help - like the rest of Nokia, including Nokia web site, they are useless). I NEED MY E-MAIL, I'm willing to pay for it if I can't have it for free, I just need a reliable and fast e-mail to connect me with my business while I'm on the road (which I am 90% of my time).
I removed Messaging from my phone, and now I'm unable to reinstall. When prompted for password, I entered my e-mail server password, and got rejected. I tried Nokia E-mail password, rejected. Tried my webmail password, nothing. I either get "server not found. please check the name of server and try again" or "password cannot be verified", or "log in failed. please try again later". "Frustrating" doesn't even start to describe it... Now I can't even get Messaging back on my phone. As I write this, the phone is verifying my password for the last 20 minutes!!
In closing, I want to say that I pity everyone who choses Nokia, as this company has shown to me the total lack of professionalism, customer orientation and, I'm affraid, basic technical knowledge. Copying USA cell phone technology was easy, making their own is somewhat more difficult, and for the poor Finns - impossible. I'm stuck with this piece of s**t Nokia E71 for the next 2 years, but my revenge will be in spreading the word around that buying Nokia is the worst thing one can do. There are much better and more reliable phones in One-Dollar-Stores around North America.

Email Stopped working on Mobile and Laptop

For the last few days, my wifes sky email has stopped working on her mobile and our laptop. Her settings are - imap.tools.sky.com and smtp.tools.sky.com using ports 993 and 446 (with SSL) respectively. I also have a sky email account that has the same settings as hers and it works okay. When sending a test email in Outlook 2013 I get the following errors... IMAP: Log onto incoming mail server (IMAP): The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). SMTP: Send test e-mail message: Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings. I can logon to her webmail using her email credentials okay, so it's not a password issue. Her email as also stopped syncing on her iphone. Anyone else have a similar issue??

Sometimes isp block orts 25 but i dont knoww what the case is hereI raised 2 tuickets yesterday, no reply.As im moving in 2 weeks and out of contract ive also seen theyve bumped the price up 30 quid a month so ive ticketed that too, no reply as yet.So i may be off to someone else if not sorted in the next day or so.Outlook is receiving but not sending.Very frustrating im afraid.Tried reloading the eail account and its still the same.

Upgraded to firefor for android mobile 8.0 and cloud printing stopped working?

After upgrading to firefox 8.0 on my android devices (phone and tablet) and intalling cloud printer 1.0.2 addon the cloud printing stopped working. When I try to cloud print I see my printers select the one I want and it says Print job added,but no printing occurs. I go to cloud printer manager and it says no print jobs. Cloud printing used to work on old version of firefox the on preceding 8.0. I know google cloud printing works because I can go to gmail webmail in a browser (not firefox) and print a gmail message via the cloud and it works. How can I get old version of firefox back on my mobile and why does'nt new version work?

Also Cloud Printer 1.0.2 is an addon

Itunes wont open and gives me a message saying "Itunes has stopped working". What can I do to fix this?

First you can try;
Try restarting PC and run itunes again!
If error again than perform clean instal of itunes (uninstal first and than instal again)!

I reloaded iTunes 10 (64 bit) successfully, but the problem remains the same.
Any suggestions?

I looked in the folder from which I want to synch photos, but there is no such thing as an "ipod photo cache" in that folder, or sub-folders, as suggested in the link which you were nice enough to provide.
I have also tried removing photos from my iPad2 Photos App, and "iTunes has stopped working" shows up again as soon as I click on the "Synch photos from" button.

OK I have a Toshiba Satellite L300 Laptop and ever since I installed a printer software on Wednesday night, my laptop has suddenly stopped working!
Ever since Thursday night, I have been trying to get it working but I'm faced with this message:
when i load it up it goes to Windows error recovery:
'windows has failed to start.a recent hardware or software change might be the cause
if windows files have been damaged or configured incorrectly,startup repair can help diagnose and fix the problem.if power was interrupted during startup,choose start windows normally'
then it gives two options: Launch startup repair (recomended)
start windows normally

-then a scren loads up called 'system recovery options'.. it says: select an operating system to repair and click next.only windows vista operating systems are listed and can be repaired
if you do not see your operating system listed, click load drivers to load drivers for your hard disks'.....
but nothing comes up so i click load drivers and it just gives me loads of random folders...and i haven't a clue which ones to load

startup repair says it cannot manually fix any problems
-system restore just says your computer is in a limited state and performing this action cannot be changed...but there is no option to do so
-windows comple pc restore says i need to insert a backup disk which I dont have
windows memory diagnostics tool says that windows is preventing this

but on the system resotre it tells me to type something like: rstrui.exe /OFFLINE:C:\Windows
but i don't know where...i typed it in the command prompt but don't understand how to use it

If the problem is installed software, start notebook in safe mode and try to start system restore from there.
Please let me know which options are available. Can you roll back OS few days back?
