Webpage cuts off, no scroll bar.

Hey,
I'm a beginner so please take it easy on me.
I'm trying to create a website for my wife. Everything is completed and it looks great. The only problem I'm having is that when my wife goes to view the websit on her computer (much smaller size). The page cuts off and there's no scroll bar feature which I thought was like a fixture on websites. I've been looking for hours on how to add a scroll bar to my entire website .. like the standard browser scroll bar but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Can someone here please help, I'd be much obliged. I have two files, one is the index.fla file which i used to create my page in using Flash CS5 and the other is the index.html file which I can edit in Dreamweaver.

I just wondered if this was resolved. I am having exactly the same problem with the same template. I have tried every combination of settings in the publish settings but cannot get the scroll bars.
The only way I have got to get it to work in any fashion has been to publish the page then rename the flash page created (index.swf) to flashmo_188_chrome_black and copy it to a fresh directory conatining an unedited version of the template. This does not really resolve the problem. It seems that the html file I create after editing the template is different to the file that comes with the template.
Any help or thoughts greatly appreciated

Background Image Cuts Off - Browser Scroll Isn't Long Enough

Okay, fairly new to Dreamweaver, long-time graphic designer. That said, the answer will probably be easier than trying to explain the problem!
Using the Page Properties, I set the following in the Appearance (CSS) tab:
Background color to #000
Appearance HTML Background image (contains the image in question, created in Photoshop)
No-repeat
This Photoshop image is kind of long (960 x 2232) because there is a bunch of text that needs to flow on top. I thought that I reached some sort of maximum in height and so I reduced the height of the image a little and the same problem--cut off at the bottom of the browser. Note that this cut off issue was not a problem until I extended the graphic to this long length. On other pages, it is much shorter and all is well.
I've pasted a snapshot of the bottom of the web browser preview below. You can see that the scroll bar is at the bottom and there is just a small bit of the paper that is not showing. I would like the bottom of the paper to be seen with a little bit of the black background beneath that.
My first instinct is that I'm missing a bottom padding effect, but can't find where to adjust that type of setting.
Another Thought--I would much rather this graphic auto expand as the text flows over it, but did not know how to accomplish that, so I extended the graphic in the Photoshop file. Its not a tile type of image that can be repeated. It is an ancient looking paper, therefore, the top and bottom need to look a certain way, but the mid section could be tiled and repeated. So if this is a better route, please direct me on where to learn how to implement.

extra carriage returns were needed in the text frame to extend below the background image.

Dynamic TextArea cut-off when scrolling

I have a fixed size for the text area, and using html
formating.
The top CSS will not format the margin or padding.
Also the last paragraph of text gets cut=off half way through
it.
I thought I saw something in the doc but I can't find it now.
Anybody had this problem?

With html = true:
Padding on top and the bottom does not seem to work but on
the sides it does work.
The cut-off text was due to using the & symbol in html
tagged as &
The cause the text to end. Simply removed it and used "and"
then it worked.
The space for the first row needs white space so inside the
html tag just line feed
down one and all looks fine.
How this helps someone else.

When loaded webpage shifted to right. scroll bar not showing

When I open a website the page is shifted to the right and partly off screen so I cannot scroll up or down in the document.

Q1: Does that happen with all sites including this one, or on particular sites?
Q2: If you change the zoom level using one of these methods, does it make any difference?
* On the application menu (click the "3-bar" menu button), try the + and - buttons
* Hold down the Ctrl key and tap the + and - buttons on the keyboard
Q3: Have you noticed any problems with secure certificate errors or sites missing content?
More generally...
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
In case one of your extensions is involved, could you test the page in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).

HT1399 I downloaded an album, but one song cuts off just a few bars in. How do I reload that album to capture the whole thing?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Removing scroll bar from product pages

I need to remove the scroll bar that appears on the product pages. It doesn't matter if I have only one product or 100 on the page with the small images, I still get a scroll bar on the right side. I've tried adding and removing margins and padding, set the container height to auto, and removed the previous and next buttons from the shop templates, all to no avail. It appears to be caused by the table that holds the products, but no change to the code fixes it.
I have included a screen print of the top of the page showing the scroll bar. There are only 3 images on this page and plenty of room below them. Overflow has been set to auto (and/or visible) on the container, the table, and the page.
So, can anyone tell me how to shut off that scroll bar? I can't find that code that includes it so I can't see what's going on.

Thank you for answering.
I didn't want to turn the scroll bar on the page off, but the scroll bar that appears in a div container. I finally solved the problem by turning overflow: auto to overflow: hidden. And smacked myself in the forehead and said, "Duh. I knew that." Too tired and too close to the problem I guess.
The only other thing I can't seem to find is the large space that appears above a product table. I've tried everything from margins to padding and beyond.
Sorry about not including the url. I have used the forum so rarely that I didn't think of that. It is www.whimsicalley02.businesscatalyst.com, just in cases you want to look at the big space on Harry Potter > Accessories and on the large product page. I'd love to tuck the product closer to the breadcrumb, but if that is not possible, then c'est la vie.

Scroll Bar Troubles, Please Help.

When In A WebPage, I Have No Scroll Bars, And The Up And Down Arrows Will Not Scroll The Page Either. The Only Way I Can Scroll Is By Dragging The Screen Up And Down By Highlighting And It's Rather Bugging Now. I'm New To Macs By Two Weeks So Please Please Help.

HTML elements obscuring scroll bar

HTML elements on the below webpage obscures Firefox's scroll bar. That should never be alowed to happen, right? It only happens on that particular page though, not other pages on the same site. Haven't a clue as to why but it's obviously a bug that needs fixing.

That is not the main scroll bar attached to the body or html element, but a scroll bar attached to a scrollable div container that is part of the page. This is just an example of a bad design. I see the same in Google Chrome and there this top widget is a lot longer with 5 elements.

I think the scroll bars should have a more contrasting colour. Also be wider. It is to easy to slip pointer off the scroll bar when using.

The right side of my browser window is cut off. There is no scroll bar on the right and the search bar (upper right) is chopped off (right side).

Actually, the whole right side of the window is cut off, including the page/window header. This isn't just the websites I visit, it's the whole browser window(s). The word "Settings" is also cut off on the right side.

It is possible that the screen is too wide or too high and that the scroll bars fall off.
* Use Restore or Maximize in the right-click context menu of the Taskbar icon to set focus to the Firefox application if you do not see the Firefox window.
* Open the system menu of that Firefox window via Alt+Space and see if you can move and resize that window.
If that works then close Firefox (File > Exit/Quit) to save that setting.

How can I prevent Firefox from cutting off the title of a webpage for use as a file name when printing/saving as PDF if there's a / in it?

Like it says in the question - when I try to print/save a webpage as a PDF, Firefox (version 36.0, Windows 8.1 64bit, German) usually uses the page's title as the file name. Slashes are, of course, not allowed in file names, but instead of just leaving leaving it out or replacing it with a hyphen, the title is cut off and everything before the last slash is gone, which in some cases results in very odd and misleading file names.
Is this a known bug? I couldn't find anything. So I'm just wondering if there's either going to be a fix anytime soon, or whether there is a simpler solution than to generate a different title sans slashes specifically for Firefox users.

There is more than one proxy type.<br />
Only an anonymous proxy will hide the IP and build two connections, one between you and the proxy and a second connection between the proxy and the website that uses an IP from that proxy.<br />
A normal proxy merely passes all traffic without affecting it, so websites see your IP in such a case.

I can only see a small section of the text in the url bar, the rest is cut off.

Recently my url bar only displays the first handful of letters in my url. If I use the arrow keys I can see all the text is there, and hitting enter brings up the right page, so it's not cutting off the text, just the display. Approximately the first 15% of the url bar shows text, while the leftover bar is just grey. I'm currently on 16.0.2.

The problem is the same as the one in cor-el's linked question. However, I've found that re-enabling the Authen-tec add-on and restarting firefox solves the problem. It's just when I have it disabled that the address bar does the weird truncation.

Credit Scroll - Title Effect - Cannot Adjust Border - Text Cut Off

QUESTION:
How can I insert 2 - 3 paragraphs into the credit scroll text effect, format it so the sides of it are not cut off, and prevent Final Cut Pro from reverting back to the default text that comes with the video effect?
SUMMARY:
I am trying, in vain, to copy and paste 2 - 3 paragraphs that I want to scroll across the page as if they were credits. Furthemore, I am trying to justify the whole thing to the left. The left and right edges of the paragraphs are cut off when I render the video using compressor. There is some kind of white box that holds the text. It appears to be the boundary of the text effect.The text bumps up against the boundary, but I cannot easily tell the text to give itself some space between it and the white boundary. If I double click the text effect I bring up a few difficult-to-use formatting tools. There are little white circles and triangles that appear to represent left tab, center tab, and right tab. Everything I do with these circles and triangles seems to have no impact or screws it up. To further complicate matters it seems when anytime I interact with this rudimentary formatting tool set I cause the entire text effect to default to its original form. I have to quit out of Final Cut Pro and reopen it and repeat the process by repasting the text.

I gave up and just made an image in photoshop. I then keyframed the image to scroll across as the credit scroll effect should have done.

Can only see the first page of document and when I scroll the document is cut off.

I was sent some notes from my professor but I am only able to see the first page and when I scroll, it shows the document cut off.
