Websites icons are not shown in favorites

When I add web pages into my favorites they are presented as a standard colored safari icon, but some pages have their original icons. What is the problem?
- Couple of times reseted history and others
- Deleted conf file somewhere in folders

many icons are not shown correctly. It happens to all browsers(firefox,chromium,opera) I tried in archlinux. So I guess it' s an issue with some graphic library.
It also happens to a gitlab server site I set up:
How can I debug this? Does it happen at your place?
EDIT: Solved by uninstalling change colors extension for chromium, deleting .mozilla solves for firefox, still happens for opera.

Close, new, back, forward icons are not shown

Close, new, back, forward icons in firefox are not shown, so it makes difficult to use firefox. I am using latest firefox in ubuntu 11.04.

To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Some icons are not shown correctly in Gnome tray

The image should tell everything. In the tray there should be icons from Guake, Dropbox and Skype. However only Skype is visible. Does anyone know where could be the problem?
I noticed that Synergy icon behaves also wrongly.

Just now, I installed LabVIEW 2012 f3 (32-bit, English) and checked for the issue. But the font(NI7SEG) was not shown properly in VI either.
- Both of Korea and English version of LabVIEW 2012 on Win 7 Korea OS shows wrong results. It is same on 64-bit OS.
- LabVIEW 2010 but on same PC shows correct fonts.
Is there a limit of number of fonts in LabVIEW? There are more than 100 fonts are shown in the "Selection Font" dialog and I can divide them into 3 groups by sequential order. I find that all fonts in the 3rd group are not applied correctly.

Helpful and Correct icons are not shown (anymore) on certain threads only

But not a single of the following answers shows the helpful (yellow star) or correct (green star) icon.
Is it only me or do others experience similar situations?

When I click on correct OR helpful next to this post (no matter which of them) I get shown a radio button where I can choose only one of this two: "Yes, my question has been answered." or "No, my question has not been answered yet."
I am not very much interested in the points but want to find "good answers" quicker when reading through different posts. And for this reason the icons are extremely helpful.
I would suggest every answered thread must get at least one "green" icon in order to be closed. If there is no correct answer I would i.e. have to post my own solution to it and this would get the "green" icon which could be altered i.e. to a blue one or so...

Thumbnail adresses, and website icons are not being deleted when I clear history and cache, how do I delete these?

I am trying to delete the icons that websites use which are located in the user file of appdata/local/mozilla,
and the website adresses that are located at the bottom of the thumbnails when opening a new tab. clearing data deletes the actual thumbnails, however the adresses are still located below where the thumbnails would be. I have tried clearing history with everything checked, and all history selected to be cleared, and also deleted the cache and cookies. what can I do to delete these things? Thanks

IE is showing the icons on codechef.com but on firefox a rectangular box is shown

No problem here, I can see the favicon in the corner of the Tab when that website is open.
Or are you talking about when you bookmark that page?

I am not able to login to maxnewyork life insurance site while using firefox. I am using firefox 3.6.10 now. Combo boxes are not shown in the some trading websites. I uses noscript2.0.3.3, javaconsol6.0.21, javascript option 1.2.6 and WOT20100908. It creates feeling of inferiority in using Firefox due to these problems.

As I can see it is a narrow box with two rows of two characters? Firefox displays that code when it cannot find the corresponding character in any available font. The most common reason to see this is that some sites are now replacing image icons with font characters that Firefox has to download. If you have set Firefox to:
* use only your preferred fonts instead of the page's preferred fonts
* not download fonts (either in about:config or using the NoScript extension)
then you would need to change that in order to see the icons.
First check your font settings here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Content
Click the Advanced button and make sure there is a check in the box for "Allow pages to choose their own fonts".
If you change that, try reloading the page. Does Firefox load the missing icons?
If that doesn't fix the issue then do the following:
You can check the '''gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled''' pref on the '''about:config''' page (you can go to it by typing about:config in your address bar) and make sure that it is set to true (if necessary double-click the line to toggle its value).
Sometimes it also happens because of the slow connection. Due to slow connection the text which takes less space are somehow downloaded but the image couldn't get downloaded within the connection time frame.

Home Sharing: Apps are not shown

I have 2 Macs at home and I use home sharing with iTunes 9.1.1. I enabled Home Sharing: Musics, films,... are shown. But:
- Apps are not shown in the list
- No 'Import' or 'Settings' button is shown in the bottom-right corner of iTunes (as described in the article http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3819).
Do you have an idea how I can fix that?

what does the icon of the shared library look like ?
this means, home sharing is not set up
this means, home sharing is set up but the shared library is not connected
if you see this , you should also see all the content in the shared library.

In itunes...preferences you can change the setting to import songs instead of mp4 to mp3. Afer changing this setting, right click to the songs and than you are able to convert to mp3. ths's it

Bridge New keywords are not shown on startup

Hi,
I have some images, (in folder X) which I tagged with NEW keywords I created.
When I reopen bridge, these new keywords are not shown by default.
In ordert to see the above keyword, in the keyword panned, i have to navigate to folder X.
Is this a normal behavoure for bridge?
Is there a way to show all the new user ekywords on startup?
I am working with bridgew CS6, win7 x64.

I think you use Photoshop or other application to add keywords?
The Bridge keyword panel offers you the option to create your own keyword list with parent keywords and sub keywords in it. You can also import an existing keyword list using the little menu icon top right in the keyword panel. And export for back up or new version and/or computer.
If you have Bridge pointed to a file the keywords do show in the list but as italic instead of normal. This means the file has a keyword that is not in the list of Bridge itself. You can make it persistent by using right mouse click on the keyword and after this it shows always in the panel regardless if you point to the file with the keyword or not.
So if you want to make the most of your search function and using keywords you should start to build your own list. This can be done in Bridge but also in a simple text application. Just try to add some different keywords with a couple of sub keywords to the metadata panel and when done use the export function. This provides you with a good example of how to make your own list in a text application that you then cam import again.
Off course before staring to create a long list in a text application be sure to start with a short list and see if importing succeeds…

My Social Media Icon are not displaying within FireFox

My Social Media Icon are not displaying within FireFox. And all other browser your able to view Icons - For some reason is now displaying in FireFox.
Can someone help me with this issue? I have alot of clients that view our website using firefox browser.

Do you use any extensions that block ads? That occurs to me because the service you're using for social icons (addthis) has "ad" in its name and perhaps they are getting filtered that way.
To determine whether an extension is a likely culprit, you could disable that one temporarily, or you could disable them all by testing the page in Firefox's Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled ''(Flash and other plugins still run)''
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

With 5.1 new podcast episodes are not shown automatically, no red badge

Since the update to 5.1 on my Apple TV 2 new episodes of my favorite podcasts are not shown automatically. There is no red badge with the number of
new episodes.
When I open up the podcast I see the new episodes marked as new. After opening the podcast manually and go back to the overview, there is the red badge with the number of new episodes.
Someone else with this bug?

Yes, it's a known problem with the 5.1 update.
