Welcome message

Hello,
I have implemented a confirm box which appears on clicking the submit button. I want to display a message like 'Hello ename, want to continue?' on the box. Ename must populate based on the condition. I just want to know where to write the condition or query. I have tried to implement this on my workspace :
workspace: oit
username: [email protected]
password: datagi
application: anyco corp
page: 14

ename(from emp table) has to be selected using select list in one of the previous pages and the next steps were to be followed (sry, I was not clear about that)
But, thanks on adding the '&APP_USER.'
I think I can modify it accordingly.
thank you very much

  • File Sharing Welcome message greeting - can't get rid of it

A long time ago I had a Tiger server running and I had set it to display a welcome message, a greeting, upon any user connecting to a share point. At some point in time I had migrated over some preference settings into my now current standard Leopard workstation on my iMac C2D 2.4GHz. So now when I have file sharing active and I connect from another Mac in the house, I still get the Welcome message I had set up long ago. I cannot for the life of me figure out which preference file is responsible for this Welcome message that pops up when I connect to my iMac over my local network. Its a problem because I have other Macs on my network connecting for Time machine backups but they get hung up on the Welcome message which requires the other use to hit the OK button to move on. If no one is there then the OK button won't get pressed. Does anyone know how to get rid of this file sharing Welcome message

haha never mind, I found it using Cocktail, has a preference for greeting upon connections with file sharing.

  • Welcome message for new-registred users

    Hi!
I'm not sure if this is already been suggested or if it's implemented already, but here I go:
When a new user register at the forum or NI, I would presume that the user is new to LabVIEW. How about a welcome message for the new user? This could be a private message and contain useful information. Like links to the biggest and mostly used community groups, links to different basic tutorials, links to popular boards etc.
I see that there are many new users that ask questions which would be answered by doing the basic tutorials. We provide them some links and they appreciate it alot. When I registred a year ago, for me, the NI site and forum where quite unfamiliar and I spent alot of time, just to get to known where to look for stuff. I didn't discover the basic tutorials until I posted a "newbie" question and got some links in reply. The tutorials helped me alot!
The tutorials are not so hard to find, but I think many people, like myself, don't know they exists when they register to the forum.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, since my memory is like "10 second Tom" in the movie "Fifty first dates" with Adam Sandler

    Hi Laura,
I found the 3 and 6 hour courses very useful. Also the learning LV 101 found here.
I believe I just searched the forums for answers and posted questions if I could not find anything. Many of my questions would not have been nessesary if I had taken the courses first.
For providing the user with the links I can think of two ways:
    1. Since there can be users for other products thatn LabVIEW, maybe the links should be general for everyone.
    2. When a user registers, he/she should be able to choose products/interests and the private message could be built based on that. The register page should contain checkboxes and the user just select what he/she wants.

  • IPhone 4s and China Mobile "welcome message" issue

    Hi there,
I've bought iPhone 4s and use it with China Mobile sim here in China.
I'm experiencing a very annoying issue that makes my new iPhone 4s almost unusable: every now and then (pretty often actually even several times a minute sometime) I keep on receiving a "welcome message" from China mobile on a black screen with "cancel" and "accept" buttons in the bottom (see picture)
The message says "Dear customer: thanks for chosing China Mobile, China Mobile wishes you a great success" (or something like that, I got it translated by a colleague).
The annoying part is that this message keeps on popping up continuosly and it actually interferes with the use of the telephone (e.g. if I'm using Siri and the message pops up, I have to start all over again and so on).
Strangely enough the message pops up even in airplane mode, with cellular data deactivated, with or without WiFi etc.
I called China Mobile and they told me to call Apple, I called Apple and they told me to call China Mobile.... Nobody seems being able to support.
I've been using iPhone 4 with the same SIM card until a few days ago and never experienced such a problem!
I must also say that the battery life of my brand new iPhone 4s is very short and I think it's because it keeps on trying 3G data connection (not available from China Mobile) that unfortunately cannot be deactivated anymore in iPhone 4s with iOS 5 (the option is still there with iPhone 4 with iOS 5). Network reception is also disappointing I presume for the same reason: if I could deactivate the 3G data (while keeping 2G data active) it would probably not happen.
I hope someone out there is able to help me.
Obviously I've been trying all sorts of resets (iPhone restart and reset, data connection reset etc.).
    Thanks, ciao.
    Stefano Bizzarri, Shanghai.

I haven't been back to China yet, but i did speak with Apple.    Why Verizon couldn't have told me this is beyond comprehension.    Apple said to Settings, then click on General, scroll down to and click on Reset then click on Reset Network Settings.   Apple said that should do it at least in my instance.   Unfortunately i haven't been out of the country to test it.      I can't tell you how much this infuriates me about Verizon because i called them twice to check to see what to do and they told me no it should just automatically hook up to a new network.    All i can say is Verizon Global Technical support was useless and they need to learn there product line.

  • Welcome message followed by MoH while call is sent to extension / huntgroup

    Hello,
the UC500 and CCA have a nice interface for configuring the automated voice attendant. Unfortunately the I wasn't able to achieve the following:
Whenn a caller calls us at DDI -0 I want the call to be accepted after one ringtone/immediately. If the person is calling within business hours the caller should be greeted by a nice welcome message ("Welcome to Company XYZ your call will be shortly answered"). Then the call should be sent to an extension or hunt-group. While the extension or hung-group rings, the caller should be hearing MoH not the normal ringtone.
If the caller calls outside of business hours I want him/her to go to a mailbox. (I think I know how to do that )
I'm not afraid of using CLI
    regards,
    Fabian

    1. Either use an AA with a different menu for day/night or use night server and call-forward night service to split your calls by time of day.
    2. During the day, use the B-ACD instead of a hunt group. This will allow you to play a welcome message followed by music until an agent answers the call. It will also allow you to see how many callers are waiting on the phone screen.

  • Changing welcome message

    Hej,
I upgraded the server from SNOW LEOPARD to LION and now I can't see any chance to change the "Welcome message" from the server for any connected user.
    Any ideas?
Thanks in advance and best regards

  • Nokia 3600 : How to record a welcome message

Apparently, the parameters "clear voice" and "speaker" have to be activated each time it is needed ? Once finished the call, they are automatically disactivated ?
More generally, what is the method to get a correct numerical audio record of a welcome message ? I use a digital dictaphone.

Add the below entries in your client's glogin file (\$ORACLE_HOME\client_1\sqlplus\admin\glogin.sql)
    VARIABLE welcome_text char(50)
    exec :welcome_text :=  'Welcome '||user;
    PRINT :welcome_text

  • Welcome Message - CUBE

    Hi,
I'm trying to configure the Cube to play a welcome message using this method:
    https://communities.cisco.com/thread/41671
    The archistecture is pretty simple:
    Asterisk - Cube - Asterisk
When I configure the "service greeting out-bound" under the incoming dial-peers the announce is not played.
When I configure the "service greeting" under the incoming dial-peers calls are droped.
Maybe this is not possible without using CME ?
Which debug mode can helpful in addition to the classic: debug ccsip messages, errors and debug voip ccapi inout ?
    Regards.

    Thanks...
I looked, but don't is this. I need a welcome message when a client accesses the chat, example:
The client accesses the chat and put personal data.(Name, Telephone, e-mail, etc...) and enter.
When the user connects a employee in chat should appear:
    ------- CHAT
    Employee:
Good morning, how can a help you?
    Client:
    Client writes the text XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
This first mensage (Good morning, how can a help you?) should show automatically!!!

  • Nokia 206, Custom welcome message and ringtones?

    Hi,
Is it possible to add a custom welcome message and custom ringtones to this phone? My wife had a Nokia Music Express 3330 (I think that was the model), the phone before last, but it went faulty. She had her own welcome message and a few custom ringtones.
If it is possible, how would I go about doing it?
    Phone only arrived today.
    Thanks,
    Gerald

In the menu under settings is 'phone'. in there is the start up alert tone function. you can adjust this to off.
Im not sure if you can turn off the other tone alert mentioned in your posting.
