    String driver = "com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver";
    String url= "jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://217.52.98.102:1433";
    Class.forName(driver);
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url,"sa"," " );
    String selectStr = "select * from FleetWatch..table_name";
    Statement st = conn.createStatement();
    ResultSet rs = st.executeQuery(selectStr);
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver());
    // connect to the DB by using the driver.

    conn = currDriver.connect((String)paras.get(url, prop);
    pls tell if you know the correct way to access a remote sql server and
    access it befor tell me its step to ensure it's connect

    String driver = "com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver";
    String url= "jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://your servername:1433";
    Class.forName(driver);
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url,"username ","password " );
    this user name and password may be diff becoz if u have only sql authentication then u have to know that user name or it can have windows nt authentication so if it is so then no probs can use ur windows nt login..
    know the server name where ur sqlserver is connected to.
    set the classpath for the sqlserverdrivers jar files which u have downloaded where ur working on.
    then it works
    i did the same and worked for me.
    try it.

  • What is the quickest way to access the Settings on an iPad?

    What is the quickest way to access the Settings on an iPad? (I mean, the usual cogwheel "app" called Settings)
    In particular, I'm looking for a quicker way (or a more convenient one) to access it from an open application, than hitting the "home" button, possibly swiping the home pages, and tapping on it.
    (I know, I know, I already placed it in the bottom bar, so I have it available from all pages...)
    It would be great if I could cut another step or two. I mean, there are situations where I need to use the Settings app repeatedly. I wonder why it was not included in the iOS 7 swipe-from-bottom menu, while the "Camera" or "Countdown Timer / Clock" made the cut.
    I know everybody will have a different opinion on what should be included in that menu, and choices have to be made, but still...
    for example, on my Android smartphone the newer OS updates placed a shortcut to the settings app in the upper-right corner of the swipe-down menu, which is like the most prominent place you could place it in.
    Anyway, do you know of one or more alternative ways to access the Settings app?
    (Oh, and yeah, it just occurred to me that I can four-finger swipe it, if I have accessed it recently, but again if I access another app or two in between it will become at least as cumbersome as going through the home page).

    Anyway, do you know of one or more alternative ways to access the Settings app?
    Short answer, no. If you have a suggestion for future iOS functionality, use the feedback functionality found elsewhere on this site.

    What is the easiest way to access the router from an iPad?  I have no problems accessing it from my laptop.  Even though I am entering the address in the left address box, not the Google search box, it wants to do either a search, or add www to the beginning of the IP address.
    I usually can eventually access the router, but it is way to much trouble.  However, I use my iPad hundreds of times more often than my laptop.

    Are you typing http:// in front of the IP address of the router? e.g. http://192.168.0.1
    Sometimes, and with some routers it doesn't seem to like it if you miss off the http://

    The connections which you have done are right, Here are some settings which you can set on your computer and check if this solves your problem or not.
    Win XP: Click on the Start button >>> go to RUN>> type in "ncpa.cpl"- hit OK >>Here(Network Connections) right click on the ""Local Area Connection"" icon and select properties-Here click on the "Configure"   jaspal button- Click on the "Advanced" tab- In the "Property" box highlight Link speed and duplex/Connection type/Network or Media type- And in the "Value" box select 10 Mbps half duplex/ 10 base T/10 base half mode and click on OK.
    If still you face the same problem, then i feel it might be the problem with the Switch itself.

  • Impersonate user when accessing Microsoft SQL Server from powershell using Windows Authentication

    Hi All,
    Below is the powershell script to connect a SQL DB using windows authentication by impersonating a user. The user should have login access to the server. Script can be highly useful when service id is used to access DB using powershell.
    [reflection.assembly]::LoadWithPartialName("Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo") | Out-Null
    $ds=$null
    $conn = New-Object -typeName Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Server -argumentList "Servername"
    $db = New-Object Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Database
    $conn.ConnectionContext.ConnectAsUser = $true
    $conn.ConnectionContext.LoginSecure=$true
    $conn.ConnectionContext.ConnectAsUserName = "username"
    $conn.ConnectionContext.ConnectAsUserPassword ="password
    $conn.Loginmode
    $db = $conn.Databases.Item("dbname")
    $ds = $db.ExecuteWithResults("select top 10 Name from Tablename")
    Foreach ($t in $ds.Tables)
       Foreach ($r in $t.Rows)
          Foreach ($c in $t.Columns)
              Write-Host $c.ColumnName "=" $r.Item($c)

    That is OK when you want to manage the instance biut it wojn't work if the tools are not installed.
    This works from anywhere all of the time and is simpler:
    $datasource='MyServerInstance'
    $database='NorthWind'
    $connStr='Data Source={0}; Database={1}; Trusted_Connection=True;' -f '$datasource,$database
    $conn=New-Object System.Data.SQlClient.SQlConnection($connStr)
    $conn.Open()
    $cmd=$conn.CreateCommand()
    $cmd.CommandText='select * from products'
    $rdr=$cmd.ExecuteReader()
    0..($rdr.FieldCount-1) | %{$rdr.GetName($_)}
    $conn.Close()
    If you want credentials just add them.
    $connStr='Data Source={0}; Database={1}; Trusted_Connection=True;UID={2};PWD={3};' -f  $datasource,$database,uid,$pwd
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • I want to impersonate user when I access Microsoft SQL Server from powershell

    Hi,
    Actually I have to perform some SQL operation on my MSSQL server database. but problems is that I have given all credentials (windows fix login/password which can access database) in connection string. but when I execute the script then it is always using
    my windows login and password and then giving error that not able to connect with it.
    My personal windows credentials does not have access to my enterprise database that is why I am using service ID.
    I came to know that I have to do user impersonation of user when i access database but how to do that?? can you guys give me the syntax for that as i have to perform all sql operation using impersonation.
    Please reply me as soon as possible as i stuck since long

    Hi Guys,
    thanks a lot for your support and replies but I found the solution. With below code i was able to do my task and I used $AuthType =3 for my purpose. Hope this will help others also.
    $varDBServer = "N0SQL104,1675"
    $varDBInstance = ""
    $varDBSchema = "Data_Dev"
    $varDBUser = "S0060VMSD"
    $varDBPassword = "SDCFG345D"
    #### Choose authentication type (0=SSO, 1= SQL, 2=Domain)
    $AuthType = 3
    #### Load the required assembly for sql server administration
    #### Requieres SQLServerNativeClient, SQLSysClrTypes and SharedManagementObjects
    [reflection.assembly]::LoadWithPartialName("Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo") | Out-Null
    $varSQLServer = New-Object -typeName Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Server -argumentList "$varDBServer\$varDBInstance"
    switch ($AuthType) {
    1 {
    #### Access the SQL-Server with your current credentials (pass-through)
    $varSQLServer.ConnectionContext.LoginSecure = $true
    2 {
    #### Access the SQL-Server with SQL-Server credentials in mixed mode authentications
    $varSQLServer.ConnectionContext.LoginSecure = $false
    $varSQLServer.ConnectionContext.Login = $varDBUser
    $varSQLServer.ConnectionContext.Password = $varDBPassword
    3 {
    #### Access the SQL-Server with given domain user credentials
    $varSQLServer.ConnectionContext.LoginSecure = $true
    $varSQLServer.ConnectionContext.ConnectAsUser = $true
    $varSQLServer.ConnectionContext.ConnectAsUserName = $varDBUser
    $varSQLServer.ConnectionContext.ConnectAsUserPassword = $varDBPassword
    } default {
    Write-Host "Please select an authentication type: 0=SSO, 1= SQL, 2=Domain"
    exit -1
    #### Try connection to SQL-Server with given parameters
    Write-Host "`nTry connection to SQL-Server with given parameters`n"
    try {
    $varBuildOfSQLServer = $varSQLServer.Version.get_Build()
    Write-Host "Build of SQL-Server '$varDBServer' is $varBuildOfSQLServer"
    } catch {
    Write-Host "ERROR: Cannot access SQL-Server '$varDBServer'. Exit script!"
    exit –1

    Hi ,
    Can you please let me know what are the Different Ways of receiving Acknowlegements from target system as a response to the Message sent from source system.
    System acknowledgments used by the runtime environment to confirm that an asynchronous message has reached the receiver.
    Application acknowledgments used to confirm that the asynchronous message has been successfully processed at the receiver
    These are of positive or Negative.

    Using Microsoft Exchange to access Gmail (Google Apps for Business) contacts, what is the best way to sync the Corporate Directory? For instance, we have 40 staff members and wish to populate each phone with the Gmail profile. Right now we have a third party Android app that does this and copies my contacts to each phone. This is problematic. Any solutions to populate a phone with email and phone contacts? Even it it requires double entry for me...thats ok.

    Oh, I meant Leopard does do more than Tiger Server.
