What are the issues of the Tax Code length change from 2 to 4 characters?

Dear All,
I understand sales tax codes (T007A-MWSKZ) will be changing from 2 characters to 4 characters in 2010. Can anyone explain the implications this is expected to have?
Will the impact to the system be large or small?
What factors will we need to consider in preparation for this change?

MIRO Tax Codes being changed from PO Tax codes

Hi,
When I raise a PO with GL acc assignment to 466001 if I use a tax code other than V0 i get the error message "G/L account 466001 permits only tax code V0; this is correct as the only tax code allowed should be V0 for this GL account and this is in the GL master data.
But when I posted two invoices against it using MIRO, one coded V1 and one P1, both of were posted, without the error message "G/L account 466001 permits only tax code V0; P1 is not permitted" showing.
Please can someone tell me why this would be allowed and how I can change it so only the PO tax codes are pulled through and they cannot be changed in MIRO?

In miro what is account entry passed. According me the different amount (because of change in tax code) hit to price difference account or stock account or any tolerance group account,if maintained.

For all kind of errors the only tool available which bugs or say alerts for the error is Alert Management.
Alerts are messages which can be raised in case of failure.
Alerts - used for system errors, u can send a mail or msg whenever there is any failure. alert configuration can be done in t-code - ALERTCATDEF.
Alert Categrory can be defined in transaction ALRTCATDEF on abap stack. we can assign receipients to every alert category which specifies who will receive alert in case of error.
Alert rules can be defined in RWB.
for configuring alerts u need follwing roles first for defining or creating alertcategory
the roles reuired to access the RWB are:
1. SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER
2. SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER_MAIN
The roles for the Alert Management are:
1. SAP_ALM_ADMINISTRATOR
2. SAP_ALM_CUSTOMIZER
3. SAP_BC_ALM_ALERT_USER
Once this is done
alert category is defined and then tested

I SWITCHED IT TO LTE/CDMA AND NOW IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY. AWESOME

No. Unfortunately, you can't combine Apple IDs togetehr, even if you own them all.

In sales order for the condition type MWST, *Tax code* is displaying wrongly at header level i.e. FF instead of AO (under account determination tab)
AO tax is 0% but for FF it is 19%
I have checked with the Access sequence it is picking access 08 correctly according to this it should show AO in tax code field for MWST but it is not so..
There is a manual change for tax classification for material master in va02 initially it was blank now it is changed to ' 0 ' is any way influencing....?
Even if I consider material tax classification and customer tax code should not be FF because tax code FF is not maintained for the combination of access sequences for condition type MWST
Please help me.

Definitely material Tax classification will influence to determine the Tax code.
-->So Make sure that customer and material master having proper tax classification indicator.
-->Have you Update the price after changing the tax classification in the sales order.by going to item dat -->condition tab then click on Update push button bottom of the conditions screen.
-->Once again the check the condition record maintanence also for your MWST access sequence.

I m in the process of importing Tax Codes into the Production Environment; However, everytime i import the Transport Number, I get the below Error:
Tax jurisdiction CA1023000001 has defective structure
Message no. FS790
The Tax Jurisdiction has already been set up in OBCP...
Has anyone enocountered this before...

Hi Rukshana,
I haven't encountered this error before, but Jurisdiction Code "CA1023000001" seems incorrect.
If it is a US Jurisdiction Code, the length should be 10 (2 + 3 + 4 + 1); and if it is Canadian Jurisdiction Code, the length should be 4 (2 + 2).
Check where this code definition is coming from and you will be able to isolate the problem.

Hi, just got off the phone from BT Business. It is the Business 2wire hub that has the issue. The girl from technical talked through a direct modem to Mac connection and my download took 20 minutes. If you are on Fibre broadband this is the only current fix or a new router if non fibre customer. Hope that helps.

Login to OTM then you can see "tools"in the top most right corner click on that and select options.In the options popup window select "Tree preference" change the number of nodes.
