Lock objects are used to synchronize access to the same data by more than one program.
The lock mode controls whether several users can access data records at the same time. The lock mode can be assigned separately for each table in the lock object. When the lock is set, the corresponding lock entry is stored in the lock table of the system for each table.
There are three types of lock modes
1.Exclusive
2.Shared
3.Exclusive not cummulative
Exclusive lock: The locked data can only be displayed or edited by a single user. A request for another exclusive lock or for a shared lock is rejected.
Shared lock: More than one user can access the locked data at the same time in display mode. A request for another shared lock is accepted, even if it comes from another user. An exclusive lock is rejected.
Exclusive but not cumulative: Exclusive locks can be requested several times from the same transaction and are processed successively. In contrast, exclusive but not cumulative locks can be called only once from the same transaction. All other lock requests are rejected.

You want to allow someone to open your document and fill out the form (in the fields you have created), but not change or edit the form, right? Here's the answer - assuming you are using Acrobat Pro and someone will be opening the PDF using at least Acrobat Reader 9 and up:
Tools > Protection > Encrypt < Encrypt with Password
Answer YES to change the security.
A new window opens:
     Do NOT select Document Open (or that will require a password to open the document.)
     Select: Permissions (Check the box next to "Restrict editing and printing of the document.")
     Change the following 2 settings from the drop-down box:
          Printing Allowed: Select High Resolution
          Changes Allowed: Select Commenting, filling in form fields, and signing signature fields
          Leave selected: "Enable text access for screen reader devices for the visually impaired"
          Change Permissions Password (insert a strong password)
          Leave all other settings alone in "Options"
          OK - OK
          Re-enter the Permissions Password (the one you entered above)
          OK - OK
          Save the PDF to apply the security [notice that (SECURED0 will appear after the document title]

There are five modes in Data Manager which are as follows:
1. Record Mode: When Data Manager starts, record mode is opened.It is the primary working view. From here, the content of the data can be
managed. We perform various operations like
a. Adding a record
b. Deleting a record
c. Searching a record. The search for a record in record mode can be started from the tree view located in the left area of the main window. The search parameters are shown here.
2. Hierarchy Mode: In this mode, the user of the Data Manager can view and change all hierarchies stored in the repository. The hierarchy table to be edited can be selected here. The tree view displays the tree structure of the hierarchy.
3. Taxonomy Mode: The taxonomy determines how records belonging to different categories are defined. Through a taxonomy, an attribute can be attached to a record. These additional attributes are defined for records, which belong to a certain category. An example of this could be personal data, which differs according to the role in the organization, and thus includes additional information.
The taxonomy mode can only be selected if there is a table of type Taxonomy in the repository.
4. Matching Mode: We can define transformations, substitutions, and matching rules u2014 and bundle these rules into matching strategies.
According to a matching strategy, for example, SAP net weaver MDM will calculate scores for the probability that specific records are duplicates. We can then compare potential duplicates and merge any objects that are in fact repeated.
In Rules Tab, we set up rules to automate the detection of duplicate master data.
In Strategies tab, we bundle rules into matching strategies to calculate the probability of duplicates.
A high matching score indicates that a data entry is likely a duplicate record.
5. Family Mode: In family mode, all existing records that are already assigned to a category can be subdivided into families. The taxonomy table in which the family definitions are to be stored is selected in the toolbar. Then the family can be selected in the tree view.

i appended one structure in BSEG table in r/3 for data source 0FI_GL_4 and through that structure i added some z fields to it . now in bw i have to create info objects for those fields .i created data source in which all fiels are populating correctly only i have to create new info objects for new fileds .i am very new to BI please tell me what standards to follow to create info objects. and also tell me which field fell under char field catalog and which field under key field catalog

for your second doubt, the all fields you have mentioned here is Char and DAT data types. So all will be in Character field catelog.
Since mostly keyfigures will have the following data types only.
Amount, Number, Date, Quantity, Integer, Time.
You can use DAT fields as keyfigures but you have to decide that.

I am developing a web application[JSP, struts, ADF BC]
using JDeveloper 10.1.3. I am using <c:if test="${createMode}"> to hide or unhide some of my form's buttons.
I have found ${editMode} too. I like to know if other mode control statements exists????and what are they?

After the compilation, the code for c/c++ is known as "object code" i.e. ".obj" file, and the binary executable file is ".exe" .
Similarly for java the compiled code is known as ".class" file.
In case of Objective-c what is the output of Compiler and what is the Executable file?

Strictly speaking, .obj and .exe refer only to the output of the compiler and linker for a Windows system (or cross compiler). For *nix compliant systems the output of the compiler is usually given a .o suffix and the executable produced after linking is named whatever you choose; but usually with no suffix at all.
Also, technically speaking, Java .class fiels don't fit neatly into this paradigm. The output of a Java compiler isn't object code, per se; it's optimized byte-code that can be run by the JRE.

Well, try this (I was able to fix my with these steps):
Go Utilities > Disk Utility
Select your Startup Disk, e.g. Macintosh HD
Then, under the First Aid Tab, click Verify Disk Permissions.
If there are errors, then click repair Disk Permissions.
After it is done, restart the computer and see if your problem is resolved.

are alloted for the end users based upon the authorizations and roles..wherein
authorizations like create/change/display would be alloted depended upon the user
roles..when comibined all those corresponding authorization basis persons would
generate the User Role which would be again consider for generating the user profiles..so, this way, any SAP Std. or User Defined T-codes would be controlled.
