What can I use to watch movies online with no use of iTunes

What can I downloadto watch movies online with no use of iTunes

It depends upon what sites you want to watch them on. Do they have their own apps ? If they don't and the sites are flash-based (which isn't supported on the iPad) then you could try browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon which 'work' on some sites.

  • What can I download to stream video online with ipad2?

Trying to stream video online that wild usually use divx player or flash player... New to ipad2 hoping there's something I can download to stream video online

I don´t know what you exactly mean by saying that someone sent you a YouTube video, but if you wish to watch video directly from YouTube you could try YouView made by MrGecko:
    http://mrgeckosmedia.com/applications/info/YouView
With this application I was able to play videos just fine when using 867MHz G4. If you meant that someone actually sent you a YouTube video, a file in FLV format then you could try using VLC Player, I´m not sure if YouVIew is able to play files also.

  • How do you watch movies online that require adobe flash?

I would like to know what application to use to watch movies online on Hulu or Xfinity. Both require flash but I read that Flash doesn't play well with Mac. Thanks!

If you had said what Mac you have and what version of OS X I could be more specific, so:
You can check here what version of Flash player you actually have installed:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3.183.23 or later, is for Intel Macs only running Tiger or Leopard, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.4.402.265 or later is for Snow Leopard onwards.
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC (G4 or G5) Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, try the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the version 11.5.502.55:)
Download this http://scriptogr.am/nordkril/post/adobe-flash-11.5-for-powerpc to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • Any movie player crash while watching movies online

Hi. I have a problem with my Sony Xperia e3 (D2203). When I stream/watch movies online it just exits from the player after about 10 min. How can I fix this? Cause I have tried to download other movie players, but they also just exit after about 10 min without saying anything. And then I have to start watching from the beginning. It is really annoying.

Ok. I just tried it out and it was OK when the film is in the storage. So it is the streaming problem. Maybe its the apps problem, that I am using to watch movies online. BTW it's showbox.

  • Can't watch movies online

Hi so I just recently bought a 13" Macbook Air. So of course I wanted to go to youtube to see some reviews or tips on my Macbook but youtube videos won't play. All I see is a black screen, no pause button, it's not buffering. I saw a post saying to turn off plug-ins in the preferences. And yes, it worked. But now I want to watch movies online, I can't because it's says I need to install Java. I don't get it? Shouldn't the turn off plug-ins do the trick? I'm new here so please help me. It will be much appreciated. Thank you

    Hi Vfambam
Happy New Year!  Congratulations on the purchase of your new MacBook!      If you are getting a prompt that you need to install Java, see the resource below:
    Java for OS X 2014-001
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572
Keep your software up to date. If you need Java, download the latest version of Java for OS X directly from Oracle https://www.java.com
I hope this information helps ....

What is minimum Internet bandwidth is required for watching movie online on Mac Mini

    Greetings Rahuldel,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you are looking for information for minimum bandwidth for streaming speeds while watching a movie from iTunes. The attached article give approximate times for downloading a movie from iTunes based on internet speeds. I would recommend downloading the movie before watching it on your Mac mini so there will be no buffering or interruptions.

  • What do I need to watch moves on my tv from my imac?

Ok I want to watch movies on my tv with my imac. I have the 27-inch, Mid 2011 here is the back of the tv:
What will I need to watch movies on my tv from my imac?

A Mid 2011 iMac has got Thunderbolt, which can be used to connect the iMac to your TV through HDMI.
Get a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, and a HDMI cable. You have to connect the Mini DisplayPort adapter to the Thunderbolt port of the iMac. Image will appear on your TV automatically, unless you have to set the TV in HDMI mode. Another option is to get a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable, so you don't have to buy an adapter and a cable

  • I suddenly can't watch .mov files with the QuickTime Player x?

I suddenly can't watch .mov files with the QuickTime Player x? There is always the message, i should look after new software! Can you help me?

Handy-dandy cut and paste to the rescue!
you need to install some other stuff to get the full file functionality back.
    Here's the list.
    Start with QT 7.6.6. - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL923
Get Perian, and install it. - http://perian.org
    then VLC, - http://videolan.org
    DivX - http://divx.com - and the
    Flip4Mac package from Telestream - http://www.telestream.net/flip4mac/
A52/AC3 downloader: https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/21875/a52codec - In this installer package there is an audio A52Codec.component. DO NOT USE IT! Throw it out and use the one that is linked below.
This is what I've put into my system and so far I've gotten every file to run fine, even my oldest videos.
These are codecs you should see.
    In System/Library/QuickTime
         AppleIntermediateCodec.component
AppleMPEG2Codec.component* (*optional if you've bought it)
         DivX Decoder.component
         Flip4Mac WMV Advanced.component
         Flip4Mac WMV Export.component
         Flip4Mac WMV Import.component
    In your Home/Library/QuickTime/
AC3MovieImport.component (you may or may not want this component, in some instances it causes conflicts. In my system, it doesn't. Who knows why? I don't.)
         Perian.component
For AC3 sound that is in most .mkv files, you need the A52Codec.component, this is the one you want, here: https://code.google.com/p/subler/downloads/detail?name=A52Codec.component.zip - unzip the file and put the component into the System/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components
Go back to your Perian settings and in the Audio Output button, set it to 'Multi Channel Sound' - Ignore the message Perian puts up and select it.
By doing a 'Get Info' on your files and where it says 'Open With' - default them to the QuickTime 7 program. Perian no longer will work with QuickTime Player so you must have QT 7.6.6 and set it so it is the default for all the filetypes you use.
It works perfectly with QT7. So far I've gotten ALL my old videos to play.
.avi, .mov (with the AC3 sound), .wmv, .flv, .mp4 and .m4v. all run fine as do all the older formats.
    Good luck!
    Deb.

hello my apod nano 5th generation is not showing my videos on itunes...what can i do to watch my videos on itunes?

Try changing the cord. I could NOT get my computer to recognize my iPod 5th Gen until I read somewhere that different apple devices use different cords. I was inadvertently using my iPad cord and that caused my computer to not recognize my ipod.
