What do I do after "too many login attempts" and I have tried reset of password?

I am required to have and login to an adobe account to read Overdrive eBooks via my local public library for my iPhone Overdrive app. I have downloaded Overdrive's app update and therefore need to re-login to Adobe to read ebooks again on my iPhone. When I try to login to adobe via my iPhone to do this, I got an error message something like "too many login attempts." I have tried reset of my password and I still get this message and still cannot login. Please help!!!! I am desparate!!!!

Eliza. I have the same problem, I have replaced the batteries in my wireless keyboard but it is not working therefore I can't log in as I can't type my password. (Doing this on my iPad). How did you solve yours please. Regards mfa

ok so i recently updated my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 to the ios6 and now for some odd reason when ever i try to join my original network it won't let me it just keeps kicking me of, for my iPhone 4 it will just put me to 3G and my iPad 2 get no internet but the internet works perfect on my mac book pro which is also updated fully and i have tried reseting the router if you know what i can do please help.

This worked for me on iPhone 4S and iPad 2:
Settings -> General -> Restore -> Restore network settings
After the device restart, I logged in my wifi network without any problem.

Ah, okay. I'm stupid. Apparently, you've entered a wrong password too many times. You have to wait a while to log back in. I don't know exactly the time frame but you should try again tomorrow. In the meantime, you can go ahead and create a new thread at [/questions/new] if you need support with Firefox.

If you still have the 'pointers' to them in iTunes then I think that it assumes that you still have them on your computer so it won't re-download them or let you copy them from your iPod - try deleting the iTunes entry for one of them and then re-try re-downloading or, with your iPod connected, File > Transfer Purchases. If it works for that one then do the same for the others.

Do you have a backup? Transfer to new computer if you haven't already. A restore will wipe the contents.

What iTunes purchases that you can redownload for free from the stores will show in the Purchased tabs in the App Store and iTunes Store apps, and the Purchased tab in the iBookstore in the iBooks app

A data recovery company MAY be able to do it for a price. The Disabled is a very good security feature.

Restore, if iTunes will let you. Everything except the password will be restored. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. In your case, choose any computer with iTunes software. Be forewarned that it takes a long time. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

I Have a problem with one user-id , with out entering the wrong password it automatically locked
4 to 5 times it is locking daily , no one not entering any wrong password,
why it's locking ? it shows this message : *password logon no longer possible---too many failed attempts*

Hi everybody,
I have created a new client using SCC4.
I have logged into that client and had done LOCAL CLIENT COPY with sap_usr profile
and scheduled it as a background job.
the job was also successfully completed.
but one day later when i tried to login into that particular client it is throwing the error:
'password logon is no longer possible - too many failed attempts'.
why it is happening, plz someone help me in this regard.
