What do you do if someone uses your account to purchase programs? All the YuFanApp programs were purchased on my account. I called apple and they said go online to express support and that was NO help. I changed my passwords but I am concerned.

Yesterday I started getting these emails that my address and credit card information was changed. I then got one that an order was placed on a device I had never used before. I did not do any of this so I went in to my account and there it was, all programs by YuFanApp had been purchased! (To me this is a red flag that that company may have stolen information from itunes users!) My credit card was not on file, I can't remember if I ever had it on there. The gift card I had on my account had been drained. My shipping adress was still the same. So I changed my password and tried to call customer service. They said they were sorry and just go online to the customer support express page and do things there to report it but there is nothing there to report it. Anyone have an email address or something I can work with?

  • Working w/adobe cs6 - it now won't update adobe acrobat. Adobe found that I am not registered in a sudoer file and said that I had to call Apple. They said I should submit it to this forum.

    I have installed Adobe cs6. After doing so, Adobe Acrobat will not update. I have been trying to solve this problem with Adobe now for 3 months. Today they say they discovered that I was not in a file named "sudoers file." They told me they could not solve that but that I had to call Apple for a solution. I called Apple and they told me that they could do nothing about it (I'm still not sure whether or not they even admitted that it is one of their files).     There are two files named sudoer.vim on my drive (each in a different folder). They're text files. Both are very well hidden and the contents of either would mean little to anyone not versed in terms used in the text. What Adobe could possibly mean by "your name not being in the file" is anyone's guess. My actual name or user account name isn't in any of the files, either, and my apps work just fine.
    There is another text file named sudoers (no file extension) that appears to be a list of who has sudo privileges. But again, it's well hidden, requires an admin password just to open it, and means nothing without knowing what to modify, or how without ruining the file.
    Which kind of leads back to this:
    "Adobe Acrobat application was modified."
    Have you run Monolingual or other utility that removes foreign languages from the drive? If so, you can't let it touch certain apps (like anything from Adobe) or you will run into problems like this. Usually, Acrobat won't even launch if pieces of it have been removed, even if those pieces are completely unimportant.
    If nothing else, just reinstall Acrobat from the original disk or downloaded .dmg purchase.

  • Why dont you put a button on your browser for tools like all the other browsers do? I have to do a search to figure out how to make any changes.

    My other browsers have a "tool button" I can click on to go in and change security settings, empty out the cache and history plus other things. i can find one with Firefox.

    Brought an iMac 27" last week, but the iMac was defective, the microphone didn't work, called they to arrange a replacement. After I send back to defective unit next day and a long wait, the replacement unit arrival today, but when I open the box, I immediately feel this is not a new product. All the packing has been open, looks like it is someone returned it and apple try to sell it as new. Call apple, they said they going to call me back , still waiting. What a bad experience !

    Call them again and tell them you want a Refund. Send it back then Order another or something else.
    EDIT:
    Apple has a 14 day No Questions Ask Return Policy for full refund. Take advantage of it and return that system.

    more than likely it is your video card. If it is ATI 2600XT, tell it bye-bye. The card is barely used at all in TDM or Safe Boot Mode. The 2600 and Lion and the issues with that card, even if it seems okay, is not.
    Depending on Windows OS as to how it mounts and sees your Lion HFSX (there is a nice HFSX driver from Paragon, and an NTFS driver for Lion too)
    480GB SSD is overkill for any system unless you are pushing CS6 2-3GB images and then for scratch. All you need for a boot drive is about 100GB.
    If you have an SSD now, then 1) you need to do a full image backup and restore (regularly as maintenance), and 2) TRIM Enabler
    Save Lion and you can always do a clean Lion install w/o going back to SL - but you might want to keep SL (dual boot) and handy if you run into anything you still need that required PowerPC/Rosetta
    FBDIMM RAM dies, Amazon has $32 kits of 4GB. And having all 8 DIMM slots filled improves things. If you need or want to and feel 16GB isn't overkill.
    SSD and issues are always possible. you should not just go along. not without a clone image. And you should have another drive w/ TRIM Enabler so that you can do a repair and "trim" what is needed.
    Clone a system with CCC regularly. Bootable. And can also be used by Setup Assistant.
    Install Lion over a heavily used SL system and there are likely remnants of old things that get in the way and left in there and not removed.

    - Go to settings>Store and sign out and sign into your account.
    - Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
    - To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

    If you are talking about your Apple ID password, make sure it IS your apple ID.
    In the past 24 hours, I have received two emails "How to reset your Apple ID password". I  had not requested any change and I finally realized someone else is trying to reset the password. I have had this Apple ID since 2009 so I am not using someone else's ID.
    Again, if you are not receiving the email to reset make sure you have the right ID - it might be going to the email linked to the account, and it might not be yours.

    Someone on a different device only needs to sign with your iCloud ID and password in order to access your account, they don't need to answer any security questions if they have your credentials.  If you think this happened, you should change your iCloud password as explained here: iCloud: Change your iCloud password.  After you change the password, you will need to change it on your devices by going to Settings>iCloud>Account and entering the new password.

    Have you given your information to anyone?   Family, friend?
    Did you have another device with Game Center on it?   Did you give a new owner of a device any passwords?
    Do you share apple account with a family member?
    Do you have a rescue email set up in your Apple account, with security questions? 
    I suggest you set up a new email account, write everything down and keep it in a safe place.
    New email account and password. Not so easy that it can be hacked.
    In your iTunes account on the computer. Login and change security questions, password and rescue email.
    Again, make sure your password is not easy to guess.   Same with security questions.
    Write it all down and keep it somewhere safe.
    I recommend a password keeper called Enpass.   You can store 10 cards with user names, passwords, notes and account numbers in the free version.
    Then you only have to remember one complicated password to open Enpass and retrieve your information.
    If all else fails, contact apple support.

    If running iOS 5 or later, update can be OTA or via iTunes.
    Be sure to have a good backup. OTA requires at least 3 GB
    free on your iPhone, less if done via iTunes. Make sure your
    iPhone is fully charged and you have a good wifi connection
    before attempting OTA update.
