I forgot my password to my computer. Now i cannot change things nor can i download things.

If you don't have your install disc handy, then follow these steps
1. Start up in single-user mode (hold Command-S as the computer starts up).
2. Type: mount -uw /
3. Press Return.
4. Type this:
passwd (user's short name)
Replace "(user's short name)" with the short name of the user account whose password you wish to reset. If you are not sure what the account name is, you can get a list of user names by typing: ls /Users
5. Press Return.
6. Enter a new user password.
7. Press Return.
8. Type: reboot
9. Press Return.

Nothing we can do to help you if you can't remember your password. There's no way around this. If you can't remember your password, you can't use the backup. Pure and simple.

Look at the suggestions in this user tip. If you do not have a rescue email address, see the instructions for contacting iTunes support. That will be the only way that you can reset the questions.

If you have a rescue email address on that account then you've checked the inbox and spam folder on that email account as well (and you can't get the password reset by answering your security questions on http://iforgot.apple.com) ? If you still can't find then try contacting Support in your country, they should be able to reset the password for you.

How does this work?
What do I have to do to make this work on my MacBook Air, OS X Lion? I mean what do I have to open, click, enter etc..
I will be very grateful. I have the greatest difficulty in remembering the several passwords I use, and it would be a boon if the OS would do this for me.
If I have been too ambitious about the properties of OS X Lion, is there a third party program which can do this for me?

But what I need and do not yet see, is:
when a box appears with , say, an ID on top and a blank box below asking me to fill in the password - I do not want to have to type in the password, I want the password to already be in there, in text, or even in a line of dots, and then these entries to be accepted.
Sorry to keep on about this, but your help would be appreciated.

You can no longer change the password

Good day!
I have a problem on a Netweaver 2004s BI server.
When a user tries to change his password at the logon screen, the error message : "You can no longer change the password" appears.
To clarify, user types his current user id and password in the logon screen, then clicks the "New Pasword" button. Then immediately the "You can no longer change the password" appears.
This is not similar to the message that says you can only change your password once per day.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Ah.. that was interesting.. actually you wouldn't know about these errors which do not give u a clue.. in the right direction unless you have faced the problem. Good that the problem is resolved.
Its more quicker to actually help, if you have access to the system.
This error could have been easily sorted out by checking system log entry and audit logs or SUIM.

This happens nearly every time I use Safari. I will be clicking on links, when it appears to hang. By exiting full screen mode, upon minimizing the next page I was intending to view appears. This does not happen on all websites, but many that I visit.

Here's a stupid question, but I'm sure I'm not the only one - how exactly DO you minimize the safari fullscreen mode?? I keep reading about orange or yellow tabs which don't exist, at least on my 27 iMac. Control m doesn't work either. I wish Apple would have a basic 3 or 4 page instruction manual on this. Unless there are major bugs still. By the way, this is only one of many problems I'm having with Safari. Occasionally the tool bar just dissappears. And, don't get me started about how the dock in Lion simply stopped accepting some icons, including Firefox. None of these problems happened when I first installed Lion. Each upgrade seems to have more bugs, not less.

No. But you have to purchase a data plan in order to use the iPad via the 3G connection. Some 3G iPad owners do not have internet service at home and rely only on the 3G connection.
If you do not purchase a data plan to use with the 3G, then you will only be able to use your iPad where you can find a WiFi connection - like at a library, or a Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, a friend's house that has WiFi .....
