What exactly do I put in next-Login help

Question

Well I made a JSP...but now I'm stuck..
I don't what to do

            }all I want is for it to search my database of the Username afterwards if it is found and is equal to userName01 it will then search for the password...and then I do the rest...
I don't know what to do next..I don't know the commands....sorry

3) Let the DB do the comparision task. Invoke a SELECT query where you pass both the username and the password in the WHERE clause. If the ResultSet#next() returns true, then the username + password combo is valid, else it is not.
