What happened to date priority in menu listing?

What happened to date priority in menu listing? I used to decide and select items via date in an "Open" menu, but now that function seems to have been removed in Mavericks.
How do I get it back?

Go to "Show All Bookmarks"

  • What happened to the new releases alphabetical list?

What happened to the new releases alphabetical list? You used to get a list sorted by date when you click ALL in new releases. Now, they only list "featured" new releases with pictures of the artwork. Is there still a way to see the alphabetical list by release date.

yes - i have the latest version; and the change to their new releases occured over a month ago. A couple weeks ago, the old format returned briefly.
Does anyone from Itunes review the forum? I would buy a lot more tracks if i was able to see all that are available.

What happened to the Page Setup menu item in the Grab Utility? It was there in Snow Leopard and gone in Mountain Lion?

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • What happened to the finder sidebar menu?

I have had to spend sooooo much time trying to locate files that I just closed! What happened to the Finder menu that listed TODAY, PAST WEEK, etc?  It's nervewracking!  I don't want to open the files but upload them.  I don't like that I can't just find them easilyl in the menu format before...... I'm not sure I like this so-called upgrade.... on the iphone it's cool, but on the MAC.. not so sure I like it.

Under your stuff, you can click on Profile and it'll show your equipment - you can change it there.
Now, as for the Finder Sidebar, if you go to Finder Preferences and click on Sidebar, it will show everything that can be shown there. Some changes were made in Lion - one of them is "all my files" - I don't need that, so I unchecked it, but you may want to try it to see if that can be useful for you. And, under the Go Menu, you can use Go To Folder. I never used any of the options you've used simply because I've never needed that. Maybe you can arrange/file your stuff by name so it'll be easier to find?

  • What happens to data after formatting hard disk?

Hi, I'm currently have a iphone and ipad... and is running my iTunes on Windows OS.
My question is, what happens to the data in apple products after I format my harddisk and reinstall iTunes. Will the data get lost after I connect my apple products to the newly installed iTunes?
    Data of concern:
Downloaded Applications --> Do I have to download them again in iTunes?
Music --> Will the music be overwritten and removed during Sync? (I suppose the same applies to Photos and Videos)?
Contacts --> Will my contacts be removed?
Thank you very much in advance for any useful feedback. (:
    Cheers!

HI and welcome to Apple Discussions...
what happens to the data in apple products after I format my harddisk and reinstall iTunes.
As long as your photos, music, contacts, and videos are reinstalled on your computer, all you have to do is connect the iPad and re sync everything.

  • What happened to my pop-up menu?

As I'm redesigning this site (MUCH work to do), I've inserted
a DW pop-up menu for the "Competitions in Review" link. It worked
before I did a slight page redesign... Any clues as to what
    happened?

This file isn't on your server. Or at least not where it's
    supposed to be,
apparently. Make sure you upload this file to the proper
    place.

This image is distorted because the code size doesn't match
    the actual size.
    http://www.hhipc.org/2007Competition/RedPiano.jpg
this image has a discrepancy between it's actual size and
    it's coded size.
The distortion is less noticeable here than the logo image
    because the text
in the logo is more vulnerable to such distortion.

The text in these two images is fuzzy because it's fuzzy. You
    might do
better with some anti-aliasing in your graphics app and
    saving at a bit
    higher resolution.

  • What happens to Data drive (D:) when I do a factory reset/recovery?

Hi, I have an HP Pavillion DX6650ca notebook which has been freezing and slow for the past few months.  I was thinking a factory reset/recovery would solve my issues.  My computer has an OS (C drive, a Recovery (E drive and a Data (D drive.  I'm wondering what happens to all my data on the D: drive if I do a factory reset.  Will I lose all my files there or is only the C: drive affected?
    Thanks
    Sonny

    Hi
Doing a recovery will erase all the data on C & D drive and install the fresh copy off operating system. Hence you need to take a back up off the data before running a recovery.
Let us know how it goes!

  • Macbook Air, Logic board failure, what happens to data?

    Hello,
My Macbook Air died today with 90% battery and will no longer turn on. SMC and PRAM reset did nothing, it's completely unresponsive. I think it's a logic board failure. I have a question regarding a repair with Apple; I realise they will replace the logic board inside my computer with a new (or refurbished) board and the faulty one will be shipped to Apple. Considering the Macbook Air has flash memory on the board will this mean my data is now unrecoverable? I have everything backed up, I'm not worried. I have some err personal photo's of me and my partner in iPhoto and I'm wondering what will happen to the sensitive data.
Thanks for dealing with this lets say awkawrd topic

I don't think that your flash memory files are unrecoverable. That's because the logic board of the MacBook Air hasn't got the flash memory soldered. However, I don't know if Apple will replace the logic board, "recycling" your flash memory, or if they will install a whole new logic board replacing the flash memory, although the first option makes more sense and it would be the normal option.
Anyway, as you have a backup on an external drive, you don't have to worry about that

  • What Happened to Bridge CS6 Tool Menu?

For some reason some of my Bridge CS6 Tool menu has disappeared. See the bottom of the menu it's missing the option to go into Photoshop Bactch Image processor etc
This is what it should look like:
How do I get back the missing options?
    Thanks,

This morning I booted from another internal drive and repaired permissions and the disk using the Apple Disk Utility and Disk Warrior. That didn't fix anything in fact I now have even less options under the Tool Menu.

  • HT3187 What happened to my movies and music list on my apple tv

I have lost my audio for video on itunes and also have lost movies and music and apps on my itunes for my appletv whats the deal ?

After a little bit of a hiatus, I turned on iTunes at work last week, and lo and behold, all my music was missing.  I didn't have time to write up this question then, so after double-checking today, I'm here now.
What do you mean by the above italicized text? Did you enable iTunes Match in iTunes on the work computer? If not, simply launching iTunes won't do anything for you. You need to pull down the Store Menu and select "Turn on iTunes Match."

  • What happened to the "Organized Bookmarks" menu item in FF5?

I want to export my FF5 bookmarks for backup and syncing purposes, and so I looked up "Exporting bookmarks to an HTML File" in Help and I read this: "On the menu bar, click on the Bookmarks menu and choose Organize Bookmarks....". In my copy of FF5, there is no such menu item???

I can't understand why "Organize Bookmarks" was changed to "Show All Bookmarks", the former was obvious to its intent, the latter would imply that some bookmarks in the list were hidden!

  • What happened to the 'TV Show' menu item.

I just watched the One More Thing... event again, and noticed that when Steve shows off the iPod, there is option for 'TV Shows' in the Video menu next to 'Music Videos' and 'Video Podcasts'.
Is it just my iPod that lacks this?

Is it just my iPod that lacks this?
If you are the only person not including the required data nodes which would allow the software to create a valid "path" between a particular TV show and a "TV Shows" video category then yes, you would be the only one having this problem. Unfortunately, neither is likely to be true here. Remember, the "Video Kind" (TV Show) merely tells the software how a particular file is to be handled while "TV Shows" is both a defined category and a path component (data node) just as much as the series title, season shown, and the episode identification/episode numerical index. Without these data nodes no path exists and no menu path can be displayed.
... noticed that when Steve shows off the iPod, there is option for 'TV Shows' in the Video menu next to 'Music Videos' and 'Video Podcasts'.
Not sure how "hands on" Steve is when it comes to all of the nuances of the software applications he may demonstrate. Would assume, at least to some extent, he does not personally create many of the sample files used during the stage demonstrations. Therefore, he may, or may not, be fully cognizant of problems you are facing. And, even if he is, I doubt he would be willing to emphasize the attendant shortcomings or volunteer the fact that a third party application is needed to fully exploit Apple's own "Golden Goose" software in non-commercial areas (i.e., non-purchased TV shows).
In short, Google "Lostify" and see if it helps.

  • What happened to my View Source menu item?

I'm pretty sure that I used to be able to view the coded contents of web pages in the past. I just tried to do this with a web page and my "View Source" selection item under the "View" menu is gone.
Am I mistaken that Firefox used to have this feature? I have used Firefox, exclusively, for about the last 3 to 4 years, now; haven't used IE in quite a while.
Maybe with my latest FF upgrade, that feature was deleted in the upgrade.

Thanks. Glad to find more than ONE solution (I code "no right click" on most of the web pages I do). Tools / Web developer / Page Source works for me!

  • What happened to the drop down menu for the back button in Firefox 4?

There used to be an arrow that allowed me to go back a few pages which seems to be missing in Firefox 4. Please bring it back.

You can also get the drop-down list by holding down the left button until the list appears.
