What happened to "next" option in Track Info window?
When I needed to edit Track names for a whole album, I used to right click the first track, select Get Info, then type in what I needed. When finished with one song, I would hit the "next" at the bottom of the window, and when I was done with all the tracks, I hit OK. Now, once I upgraded to iTUNES 11.0.1.12, I noticed that I could still edit multiple tracks at once, but I could no longer go from track to track within the Info window, which I hate. I have to hit okay, then right click, select get info, etc over and over for many songs. Why did the next option go away? It's wicked stupid and an inconvenience. I thought maybe it was a hidden menu now, and not automatic like other options (sidebar, the menu bar etc) but I have yet to find a solution to this. Any help please?? Editing music is so slow and tedious work now!
Also, while I'm at it, every time I open iTunes, I must re agree to terms and conditions, skip the walkthrough, and reauthorize my accounts EVERYTIME I boot up my computer and open iTunes. I mean--what the heck is with that?? And since it isn't fullscreen, when I hit maximize, it maxes to outside of my screen limits, so I can't see the scrollbar or the tops and sides of the screen to drag it to size. I never had these problems until last month when I upgraded to the newest iTunes. So yeah, please, somebody help me!!! Thanks in advance!
Apple decided to omit the View = Glyph option in Lion. I think it is a big mistake. The place to tell them is

I am trying to save an Instrument after I made some changes to the Effects.
When I click "Save Instrument..." I get an alert
"The file will be hidden. You have chosen not to show your own settings. If you save the file now it won't show in the browser unless you change your view options in the Track Info window."
I didn't know I had chosen not to show my own settings.
I am looking at the Track Info window (both the Browse tab and the Edit tab) and I cannot see where I can change "view options".
Am I looking in the wrong place? I really do want my new saved changes to be on that list.

j2The answer is obviouse when you find it the pulldown menu, it is in the middle of the info panel just below the tabs, and may be showing 'Garageband', press this and you can see a number of options including 'Show all'

I am running OSX Lion 10.78.4 and the computer will no longer go into sleep mode when I close the cover. In system preferences I can no longer find the option that allows for this energy saving feature. What happened to this option and why is this no longer happening with the latest version of Lion?
No external monitors or devices attached. When you mention that this function only works when devices are attached that is true when you set up your preferences that way. Up until my upgrade to Lion the computer would always go into sleep mode when I closed the lid. There also used to be an option to check in system preferences that allowed you to choose this option. My question for the discussion is what happened to that option and how do you get the computer to sleep or at least the display to sleep when you close the lid as we have been able to do in the past. What happened to the options button that used to reside at the bottom of iTunes? And where do I control iTunes to not transfer unchecked songs?

What happened to the option to see all your purchased movies alphabetically? I can only see recent purchases and then I have to look by movie type. With over 500 movies purchased, this is a huge pain. For instance the movie Airport 77 is classified as Drama not action? But it is action? I have to look at both types to find the film. I will stop buying films via AppleTV if this is the way it is going to stay. I am not searching for films in this crazy manner.
Same issue here. Might have to do with size of library. I too have over 300 purchased movies. "ALL PURCHASED" folder disappeared yesterday on all my AppleTV's. My son only has 20+ purchased movies and his still shows "ALL" folder. However, I had him log in under my account and "ALL" folder is missing??? I hope Apple gets this resolved quickly. I too do not want to flip through various Genres looking for movies.

What happened to the "send reset security info email to .....@...." link at the bottom of the security questions? I forgot mine and cannot figure out how to send this email...
It's only there if you previously set up a rescue email, which isn't the same as an alternate email. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

What happened to command to get track names
I'm using iTunes 11.01 on OS 10.6.8 having just recently downloaded the updated iTunes. What happened to the advanced menu and the command to get track names and infor? I ripped some CD's while I was offline, and now I cana't figure out how to access the Gracenote Database to get the track names. This is a serious omission in the new version.
It is still there. Right mouse click on a song or group of songs and select Get Track names

I was missing the Options tab as well and this solved the problem. After thinking about it: How could a shutdown signal find its way to the Computer through the video channel alone...?
This issue is not mentioned in the documentation.

What happens when synching Mac iPod to my Windows laptop?
I have only used my 4th gen iPod with my iMac. I also have a PC (XP) laptop with iTunes also. I am on vacation for 2 months with only my PC laptop and want to sync my iPod with iTunes on it to listen to podcasts.
How do I do that?
What happens when I do that?
What will I lose on it?
Will it be easy to reset it for use with my iMac when I return home?

You will not be able. A PC cannot read a Mac formatted iPod. Upon plugging the iPod in, you will be asked to reformat the iPod for Windows. After doing so, you will be able to sync it with your PC, but reformatting or restoring the iPod will wipe all content from the iPod and set it back to its original default settings.
However, after doing so, you can set it up to "manually manage music and videos" by enabling this option from your iPod's Summary tab. This will allow you to sync content to the iPod from multiple computers. And since it will be formatted for a PC as FAT32, it is cabable of being read and written to by Macs as well. No option in project info window for code signing Provising profile.

I have one issue wth my application regarding provisional Profile.
I have installed Distribution certificate.After that I have entered all information regarding distribution provisional profile in program portal
I have got provisional certificate from portal.I have installed it
And I have also seen its entry in home/library/mobiledevices/.
But Now problem is arising at place when I am opening my project or target info window on that time in BUild->code signing option, I have only code signing endity but no code signing provisioning profile.
where I can give my distribution provising profile name

Make sure that you've done all the steps... "Generating a Certificate Signing Request", "Submitting a Certificate Signing Request for Approval", "Downloading and Installing iPhone Distribution Certificates", "Create and download your iphone distribution provisioning profile"...
When I went through this process, I think I forgot to do the step "Downloading and Installing iPhone Distribution Certificates"... (skipping straight to "create and download your iphone disbritution profile") as a result the provisioning profile name wasn't appearing for me to select... When I completed that step, then the provisioning profile name appeared...

So i'm glade Microsoft has seen the light with windows 10 and brought back the start button, I haven't had time to watch the presentation only the highlights.
The question I have is what happens with Windows Home Server?
Windows 10 is supposedly going to be all thing to all people, but they said that about windows 8; i'm hoping the difference now is that they have learned from there mistakes; home server needs tweaks for sure, and if its part of the free update even better.
I think having a central data store for homes is a necessity especially where the internet isn't unlimited like it is in AfricaHome server 2011 will not change/upgrade to Server 10. It should allow for Win10 client to connect/be backed up though.

the iphone 5c still has problems with battery life and shuts down after complete charge. this happened after 8.1 update, I tried every way to shut things down, still no luck. what can I do next?
I did a soft reset, and I went to the discussion and turned every down or off. This is definitely a hardware problem.

What happened to the option "Mark as Unplayed"
I have been using a feature within the podcast section that allows one to reset the blue dot or reset the podcast as unplayed. In the past itunes versions this retained the play count while allowing itunes to sync unplayed podcasts to an ipod. With the release of iTunes 7.1.0.59 they change the option to "Mark as New" which reset the podcast as unplayed but also resets the play count. Does anyone know why they changed this? I used the old feature to allow me to track podcasts I repetitively listen to such as educational or exercise podcasts.
iTunes 7.1.0.59 Windows XP ProTo me, the renaming seems a little awkward. "Mark as Not New" doesn't sound right to me; the wording just seems a little off grammatically. What was the reason for it, and was there not a better choice of words to use?

What happened to the option to upload a photo that I receive in e-mail to iPhoto?
Now that I upgraded to Lion, the option to upload a photo that I get from an e-mail to iPhoto is no longer there. Now I have to save it to a file and then go to iPhoto and upload it to the ibrary from there. It's a big pain!!
As I remember, that pop-up box disappeared after Firefox 3.5, as well ask the "Ask me before clearing..." option check box.
