What happens to the apps if I sync to another pc

ok here is the question, I know that if I sync apps to another pc they will going to erase and reinstall the apps from purchased apps section but what happens to the saved data or games.. as an example; I have Hay Day game.. the game is at a certain level right now and I want to keep it that way.. once I sync it, it will be erased and reinstalled.. will it save my game progress? or how can I save it?

I just received my iPhone 4 and put my backup from my iPhone 3G on. It works fine, and there is no more AT&T service on my iPhone 3G. I intend to use the 3G as an iPod Touch. I understand the SIM card needs to stay in the phone for this, even though it is not activated with AT&T.
What happens to the apps that are still on my 3G? They are still working. I assume they will stay there until I need to sync. Then I will have to set up a new iTunes account, under a unique computer user name, for the 3G and buy the apps all over again for the 3G.

I had a similar question as you when I first started using multiple devices, so I sent an email to the app author for the app I wanted most to do this with. His response was that this is Apple's terms, so if I didn't want to purchase a second license to use his app on a second device, then I didn't need to (but he wouldn't stop me if I wanted to either). In the end, I found this app author to be very dedicated to his app, and very responsive to my comments/requests, so I did purchase a second copy of his app (yes, I had my wife create an iTunes account and purchase it under her account).

This is a super easy scanario.
Say in my old phone I have totally 50 apps, 30 purchased under Appel ID (A), and another 20 purchased under a different Apple ID, (B).
The old device is iOS5 and I turned on iCloud backup and back up everything (data of all apps).
I get a new device, restore from iCloud, wait until everything (photo, messages, settings, most importantly, data of all 50 apps) are restoed to the new phone.
The first thing happen after the first reboot, and it will prompt me to log on my Apple ID, to install apps.
What if, at this moment I decied to only sign on with Apple ID (A), and just don't want to use all 20 apps that I purchased under Apple ID (B) anymore?
Is the data of those 20 apps become leftover / orphane on my new phone, and just no way to clean them up? Please notice again, that I did not say "install app and then delete", I know that will clean up the data as well. I mean when data is copied over but app never get installed.

Well the app "Polarize" is still available on the app store.
As for the question regarding what is hapening when you chose a picture I do not know.

Two iPhone same AppleiD moving to iCloud using different account. What happens to the app ?

Here is the scenario.
Me and my wife have two different iphone with the same AppleiD. She has her own mail, her music playlist, her photoalbum and of course we share some of the apps bought with my AppleiD.
Now that we are moving to iCloud I was wondering if she can keep the apps or she has to buy them again.

you can use the same apple id with DIFFERENT EMAILS for find my friends. That said, i just set my wife up with a brand new apple id that *is* her email address to make it easy for friends to find HER.
Then i erased my primary email from my iTunes purchase apple id and ADDED it to my @me.com apple id so i ca have MY normal email address work with find my friends.
now i can have my NON email apple-id work for iTunes purchases and i don't have to ADD yet one MORE apple id (i'm already at the MAX of FIVE allowed to sync to an iDevice!)

I've had a non-email apple id since apple id existed. i've changed my email about half a dozen times since that time, and even so, accidentally purchased a few things with OTHER apple id's (that are now defunct emails); very moronic to use a non-apple-controlled email address as a user id! yeesh that was dumb.

Whats happening to the app store?

I can't stand it anymore! After upgrading my new iPad to iOS 6 the App Store is really slow, takes too long to load and its all buggy, sometimes I touch an app and it opens another, like the touch is locked in that place and wherever I touch it opens that app... Also, scrolling is awful, not only on the App Store but n other apps too, I don't know if its only happening to me but I'm starting to get angry with this, already restored 3 times And it didn't solve it...

Same problem here - dowloaded from App store three times - three re-starts and still no sign of 10.10.2, furthermore the installer is not showing in the Applications folder!

I have just downloaded the 10.10.2 update (for 10.10.1) from the Apple site, so I expect that the App store will now stop reminding me that there are updates to install!!

I can't see any app reviews in thr App Store from my iPad, not for current or older versions, of apps that have thousands of ratings. Were all the reviews removed from all apps?

First Apple shot themselves in the foot by releasing FCPX prematurely.
Secondly they shot themselves in the head when opting to remove all the bad reviews given about FCP X in the app store.
Had those reviews been positive, they would not have been removed.
Been using Apple since 1994. Today is the second time I have been REALLY disappointed by Apple.
The first time was when I saw a Lion Developer Preview a Week Ago....

What happens to the apps when I press the home button on iPod touch?

Yeah, I know that sounds obvious, but I need to know the idea behind it. In iOS 4, you can multitask, but only if you have an iPod touch 3rd generation (32 or 64 GB). I don't have an iPod touch 3rd generation; I have the 8 GB 2nd generation, which I upgraded to iOS 4, so I have no multitasking for 3rd party apps.
So my question is: On my 2nd generation iPod touch that runs iOS 4, if I close a 3rd party app that uses Push Notifications (such as Facebook or Textfree Unlimited) by pressing the home button, will it still run in the background?

I'm not dead certain of this, but I think the only push mail supported is Apple's MobileMe. When you launch another app the current app is closed. The Home button should close any running app. The only exception I've noted is if you are playing music on the Touch which seems to continue playing even when running another app.

I have a 64b iPad and a lot of the storage is used up with data stored inside apps. Some of these data stores are 10s of GB in size. Such as, I keep some videos on my iPad that I play with VLC player. When I upgraded the iPad to iOS5 and activated iCloud backup, it immediately told me there wasn't enough room to back up my iPad entirely. I turned off backing up certain apps, such as VLC.
What happens to these apps? Are they still backed up during regular syncs with your Mac?

when you plug into itunes you can backup to both locations (icloud and locally) just not a the same time. When you click on your phone in itunes you'll see this option
click icloud then sync (will backup to icloud when you sync)
afterwords
click back to this computer and sync
keep in mind that if icloud has a 5GB backup limite unless you upgrade it

if you don't sync with itunes to the computer then whatever doesn't go to icloud is not backed up at all.

What happened to the home screen button from 1st gen iPad? Can't close apps.

I received a 1st generation iPad as a regift. It worked fine until I erased and synced it with my iTunes and other devices. Instead of the home button, it had that little circle in the corner to get you back to the home screen (don't know what that's called). Now that I've synced, that circle/button is gone, and the home button doesn't take me home. I am stuck in whatever app or settings screen I open, and can't close it without a full reboot. I'm not sure what ios it was using before I reset amd synced, but now it is using 5.1.1. Is this the problem? Any fixes?

If the unit has NEVER been jailbroke, first try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless... Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

Nothing happened to it.
It is still there. Maybe it says apply now, not sure, but it is still there.
