What I would like to see in Iphoto

I am not sure if this has been brought up, but I have a simple thing I would love to see happen in Iphoto. When it comes Iphoto's automatic organization of photos into directories on the hard drive, I would love it if I could define when I start a day. for instance, I am at a party, and it goes to 3am, well the files are located under two different folders, 01/21 and 01/22. I would much rather have the "day" start at 6am, or 8am (rarely does a party last that long now that I am older), this way when I upload my pictures to a web server, or drag the folder onto a cd-rom for a friend and I do not have to merge folders (I struggle with this problem on a dialy basis). Is there a way I can adjust this currently?

This might work..if you know in advance you'll be going past midnight, you could change the setting the clock in your camera so that it is several hours earlier, just like you change your watch when you have go to a different time zone. Easy to test it in advance.
(Then you have to remember to reset to the correct time, for your next shoot. )

IDEA!!! Great to see Apple and the Drummer for Logic! What I would like to see???

Now what I would love to see and have talked to many that feel the same way, some of my friends work with Aaron Carter, writers, to Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters to composers and many want a JOHN WILLIAMS ASSISTANT, maybe thats what it should be called? Assistant or Arranger? Basically, I have seen many take Band in A Box (NO LAUGHING YET), play a riff on the piano, then it puts together some great ok, fair arragements that you never would of thought to do. They then open Omnisphere, BFD (or some drum thing), Trilogy (for bass), and a SOFTWARE ORCHESTRA and they have insta song. Apple would do the best job and really wished they snagged giga studio? I have great ears, can tell CHINA vs AMERICAN 6L6 coke bottles apart, even easier vs EL34, or broken .10 cent capacitor. Which would cost you that glassy~shimmer sound, like fender has, so this should had been swooped up by Apple as it was the WARMEST SOUNDING SAMPLER EVER INVENTED - probably one of a few that have a working MAC copy - -but they were to slow - by the time they had it, everyone ahd their own, OR they had (TASCAM) problems with security so when you get Kontakt, yeah, it might have great security but your paying for via the ROUND, WARM sound only possible by GIGA and Apple!
Now, I don't want someone with ZERO TALENT to come in, push a button and poof, a song, they tried with MAGIC GARAGE BAND but never really developed it so all they songs sound the same.
I would like to see a bass, orchestral, guitar, (although nothing beats playing) and especially an arranger where you lay down some notes and boom, a song is arranged for you. Apple could do it. Most that have Pro Tools also have LOGIC and most new hardware has THUNDERBOLT, so, if they put their minds to it, they would grab the pro's, prosumers in an instant and anyone on a PC would switch to mac just for the arranging as J. Wiiliams will play a few notes sometimes, and have an arranger write it out take off for a week or so and come back with a few versions.
Apple could do that, have a button to push, save but try again>Man, just having a program that throws maybe plugins and so on into the channel and change with the push of a button would be geniuos. Not to mention, start researching John Lennon, 65, 70, 75, 80 vocal chain, press a button, you have his affects/doubling, et-cetera. Plus Paul, Kurt K., Kelly Clarkson, everything from ROCK to metal to country and teen pop would be dope.
Then have LOGIC self regulate via the spectrum analizer and change thinks around until it was full as a great song with the guitar SOLO'd, should sound like poop, but when the rest of the mix is on, magic!

What I would like to see in a new version of iTunes

A saved point where it gets you to what you were listening to when you closed iTunes last. I like to hear radio show MP3's and it would be nice to get back to were I was last. It would be nice if they save the last five plays where you were. It's not useful if you only listen to music, but for audio books and radio programs it would be great. Kind of how the iTouch does it.

If they are actually mp3 files (and not radio stations in iTunes), select them in iTunes, right click - Get info.
Click the Options tab and tick *Remember playback position*. Same for audio books.
Radio programs it won't and cannot work for because they are streamed (which mean it is constantly being sent over the internet).
Same as a station on regular radio. You can't turn it off then turn it on later and start up where you left off.

What I would like to see to in the next firmware update

1. Smooth transfer between hot spots.
2. Option to choose which network interface to use, now it doesn't let you to choose between WiFi network and EDGE, its just switch to WiFi if it is available, so you have to turn off WiFi, not really convenient.
3. Gmail works strange with mail client, he puts all messages in inbox that were send from computer. Really strange.
4. iPhone without IM it is stupid idea, I can't imagine this to work out, of course I use 3rd party application Apollo that brings IM functionality to iPhone. Apple should do something about it in the near future or open OS X to 3rd party developers legally.
5. Bring clipboard to iPhone, it is something that everyone need and will say thank you.
6. SIP client would be good, but I guess I'm asking too much already.
7. Forgot to say about 3rd party application Sketches, really cool application that everyone need, Apple really need to think about to bring this guys to Apple iPhone software developers group.

What I would like to see in the forum

Just a few simple things that just about any forum supports these days.
1. Code text tags.
I hate to post PL/SQL code and have it html'ized removing spaces, etc. It really makes it hard to get points across when everything get mashed together.
2. Image link tags.
I mostly post in the Oracle Spatial forum. Not being able to have in-line images links causes us to use 10,000 words instead of a picture! (Well not quite, but you get the idea). URL text just doesn't cut it.
3. Change email.
As a developer, I can't for the life of me understand why this STILL has not been changed. There is no reason for that. And no, starting a new account is not the answer.

Hello Wontolla, I meant the Aperture main menu, there is a sub menu "View", see the Screenshot:
Set all flags in the Metadata Display submenu as I did, to show Metadata in Viewer and Browser, and then select "Customize"
Pick the Metadata fields you want to display for all views.
Make sure, that "Contents -> Keywords" is checked.

What i would like see in basic nokia phone

I would like to see min 2000 contact memory,
fast phone (not like nokia asha 210, its very slow in displaying messages),
atleast 512mb internal memory (nokia asha 210 has some 25 mb. i tried to update it says needed 3 mb to update phone. but unfortunatelly i cant create because all memory taken by nokia by default apps only.)
these are basic requirment as basic user.
i feel nokia asha 210 is worst.

Do you have a memory card in your phone. Please, transfer all personal data like pictures and music to that card. Then remove the memory card (as it eats a bit of internal memory) and try the update again. Does it work now? If not, does removing some apps help?

Something I Would Like to see in Flash

When creating animations I start with the final image and
then animate the elements into position e.g. If I am animating the
word FRY onto the screen then I would place the artwork for the
word on screen and then create 3 seperate movies to animate the F
coming from the left, Y from the right and then R from the top.
The problem comes if the client changes something e.g. if
they want the R (only) to be in a different font. In this example
the animation for the 'F' movie would need to move to the left ...
but the problem is that you do not know how far to the left to move
it because you can not see the end position of the animation on
screen.
What I would like is the ability to select a frame in a movie
as the frame that is seen in movies which contain it (in this case
I would mark the end one) rather than the current 'default' of
frame 1. This has two advantages...
1) If only part of an animation needs changing you can easily
see where to move the other elements. (Whilst the above example
would be easy to do without this - it is not so easy when you have
animations inside animations inside animations.)
2) If the aniimation starts with a blank frame then it
becomes MUCH easier to find it on screen. (The current circle that
appears can be hard to find and hard to click on).
I realise that this would be a non-trivial change to
implement - but I can hope.

Onion skinning is very useful, but it only works (as far as I
can tell) for graphics that exist in the current movie. What I
don't think it allows for is for the following...
Put two graphics on screen.
Turn the first graphic into a movie (movie 'A') with 2
frames. Make the first frame blank and keep the graphic in the 2nd.
Return to the top layer, you now will not see the graphic as
it only shows frame 1 of movie 'A' and not frame 2.
Repeat for the second graphic (creating movie 'B') so you now
have 2 movies on the sceen, but there is nothing visible.
Now what I would like to be able to do is see Frame 2 (or any
specified frame) of the movies on screen instead of Frame 1. If,
for example, you changed the graphic in movie 'A' you can not see
how the new movie will look with BOTH the graphics in 'A' and 'B'
visible at the same time. You can run the movie but if the relative
position of the 2 graphics is off then there is no easy way of
positioning them correctly.
Obviously with only 2 frames and 2 movies you can use other
methods, but if they form part of a long and complex animation with
movies inside movies inside movies then it becomes very difficult
to make such changes.

I would like to see timer recording added to the next firmware. I have a Radioyourway LX and if my Vision M would do what the LX does, GAME OVER. Please add timer recording to the Vision M. Also bookmarking for the vovies would be nice too. I do not understand why that was left out?

Movies do have a resume feature. It's not as good as bookmarks, but adequate for me. If I exit the movie, it remembers exactly where I left off the next time I go back to it. I doubt we'll see timed recordings, but send some emails to Creative, especially the developer relations section.

Is the form a form that was shared with you or one that you created originally? The History you see is from the point you had access to the form, so if the form was shared with you it would only show history from that point forward.

how many other people would like to see a "GarageBand-esque" skin/gui for logic express/pro???
i use all three apps a lot, and the main thing i really enjoy about GarageBand is the simple single window interface.
i would like to see apple make the option of having a single window skin for logic.

The good thing about the Logic GUI, how grey and dull it may look, is that you don´t focus on it. It is pleasant to your eyes--and mind.
Garageband is for fun. If Logic should have a lift, I think inspiration should come from Final Cut. An app that initially was developed maybe 10 years later than Logic.
Problem with Logic is that it has been on the run for such a long time.
Quite a few menus haven´t changed in almost 15 years, well 10, then.
(Look at the much loved/hated environment)
Can´t help compare to SX, that had a completely new GUI, with the switch from Vst to SX. At a glance it is much more elegant than Logic.-And many features are superior to Logic--But, as your arrangement in SX grows, your screen will be cluttered--In a mess...all the bells and whistles.
And Logic remains cleaner in it´s dullness.
But, I´m very much annoyed with the GUI of a few Logic instruments.
The worst is Sculpture. Well, the GUI may be fancy enough, but do you have to use a magnifying glass to watch? It is just as bad as Reason!
I remember doing a post about upgrading graphic cards (I have 64 mb) and was adviced: No use, you will not benefit from upgrading, if you primarly use Logic....So Logic has a poor resolution or what? I don´t know, Tell me.

Hi I have posted this here to see what users would like from iweb. I hope to compile the list and send it as a suggestion to Apple. It would be good to have one central location for all requests.
I don't know if iweb can support some of these requests but here goes.
Simple Google/search engine listing feature for all iweb sites
Simple site backup to a folder or location/hard drive etc
Easy Transfer, One cilck transfer of site for editing on another computer
Ability to change the text size and font of the home pages and menu bar.
A flash player that takes photos video with an on/off mute function, scalable with the ability to adjust the time each photo is displayed.
A magnification too that allows photos to be enlarged once the cursor hovers over them/scalable in size
A set of flash wipes and transitions for introducing your text/videos.
A paypal shopping cart system, doesn't have to be a full web shop just the facility to sell a few items via our site.
Ability to host a few sites say 4 max. I have a personal site and a small business site and would like to host both ( Maybe I can do this ! I am still discovering things about iweb)
A rapid loading function that you can drop you site into and it will format for quickest loading.
Maybe allow different compression settings like in Final Cut for different types of content.
(don't know if you can do this but it would be great)
A contact page that is linked to my mobile me account as well as my site, this allows me have the one location or a second to forward my mail to.
Ok Thats all I can think of at the moment, I'm sure their are a ton more suggestions out there.
