What is Customer data integration Hub
Hi all,
can anyone please explain what is Customer data integration hub and what are customer data models and gloden record process
Hi Reddy,
CDI- Customer Data Integration is all about integrating Customer master data using MDM.A customer data includes a lot of customer information like the name of Customer,address etc which can lead to Inaccurate and inconsistent master dtaa.
So integrating Customer master records with MDM so as to eliminate these master data problems is the goal of CDI.

What is hyperion data integration management(DIM)
hi
i listem that there is some integration between hyperion and informatica called DIM(data integration management).
i want to know more details on that.does any one have pdf or ppts regarding that.
please forward that to [email protected]
otherwise tell me what do u know about DIM.where can we use thatYou can find some documentation here.
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/nav/portal_6.htm
DIM is basically Informatica repackaged under the Hyperion label. They were not secretive about this, when the deal was made, before Oracle purchased Hyperion, Hyperion and Informatica entered into an agreement to resell Informatica as part of System 9. It was introduced to replace HAL.
Now, I haven't heard anything solid on this, but I've noticed since the Oracle acquisition, you really haven't heard anything about DIM. Oracle has a competing product called Oracle Data Integrator, and I've noticed lately that in the literature, they are positioning it as the integration tool, with no mention of DIM.
Since Oracle Data Integrator does the exact same thing as Informatica, I do not envision DIM being around for very long. I suspect within another release or two it will be replaced with Oracle Data Integrator.
Just a hunch. -
Hi Experts,
I am pretty much confused about CDH. Some says that it is a repository which store the cusotmer data from disparate system and some says that is it a concept which is implemented from applications like TCA , OCO .
What is this CDH exactly is all about.
Do i need to implement it from scrath or is it avialable as software product released by Oracle.
I have one project which they are adding D & B numbers for the enrichment of data. I dont know why they are doing this as all functionalities are already available in CDH.
What is the need to have a two way sync between ERP and CDH( Moving data from ERP to CDH and from CDH to ERP ) as from ERP we will create all records and not from CDH then why we need have from CDH to ERP.
Can anyone please give me an example.
Thanks...CDH is a customer repository, you can for instance store a Company, with it's address and contact information (sites & locations) then have contacts with a relationship to the company i.e. employee of etc. It also stores classification information such as industry sector. How I see it is an extension of Accounts Payable / Receivable, they have taken the customer information that you would have stored there and basically separated it into it's own master data store and expanded it. It can integrate with all your Oracle Financials modules.
CDH can then be integrated with other systems so that it is the master source for party data. If you use SOA then it can publish - based on events such as an update or create - the changes across the ESB to the sub systems which then take the data and handle according to their requirements.
We publish data from CDH to 6 subsystems using web services. First pass is on the Oracle ESB, we have a publishing rule that requires at least a minimum amount of data before sending a message on the ESB. CDH maintains a master mapping table of the unique id for each subsystem that is linked to a counterparty. We expose API's from the TCA so that when a request is submitted to load a new party, the data from the webform is automatically populated into CDH and then the data capturer adds the rest. Throughout our workflow process, we use the CDH API's to update the status and information of the parties in CDH.
It also has advanced data management features like finding duplicates and merging them, batch import, find similar etc. and can be integrated directly with D&B if the web service is available in your country. We are using version 12. -

Hi all
1.What is master data?
2.What is customer data?
3.What is customer master data?
4.What is master data management (MDM)?
With Regards
VijayHi Vijay,
Master Data are data, which are created by users based on requirement, such as:
Customer Master Data
Material master Data
Customer Material Info Record
Pricing Condition Record
Vendor Master
& so on ....
In SAP determination of any functionality, following are needed:
1. Input ---> Logic -
> Output
Now to support the logic to give desired o/p when input is there, we need some reference data against which logic can be developed. This data is called Master Data. Now we have different types of master data like Customer, Material, Vendor etc.
I will also define Pricing condition records, o/p records, text records also as master data as they also help to determine the logic for converting i/p to o/p
master data is modified infrequently.
Data records that remain in the database for a long period of time are called master data. Master data
includes creditors, vendors, materials, accounts, and so on.
n Master data is created centrally and can be used in all applications.
Example:
A customer is master data that can be used in customer requests, deliveries, invoices, and
payments.
n Master data also has an organizational aspect as it is assigned to organizational units.
n Master data has cross-component usage
Examples:
Customer master data uses the same data for financial accounting and sales
Customer master records can be assigned to the following organizational units:
company
code
sales
organization
distribution
channel
division
When creating a customer master record, you enter:
Shared data on the client level
Company code-specific data for each company code
n Data on the client level can be used by all company codes. The customer account number is assigned
on this level. That means, the same customer has an explicit accounts receivable number in all
company codes from a financial view.
If you also have SAP Sales and Distribution implemented, there are additional fields you can
maintain. These fields contain information and control data that are necessary for processing the
business activ ities in the Sales area.
n Fields for customer master data are divided into Accounting and Sales areas. Address data is used
from both areas. In the Sales area, information recorded can be accessed by Financial Accounting
and vice versa.
Note:
The structural logic for customer master records/accounts receivable is also valid for vendor
master records/accounts payable
The material master represents the central source for releasing material-specific data. It is used by all
of the SAP Logistics components in the R/3 System.
n Integrating all of the material data in one single database object means that the problem of data
redundancy is not an issue. The stored data can be used by all areas, such as purchasing, inventory
management, materials planning, invoice verification, and so on.
n The data contained in the material master is required, for example, by the following functions in the
SAP Logistics component:
Ordering in Purchasing
Updating movement of goods and managing the physical inventory in Inventory Management
Posting invoices in Invoice Verification
Processing sales orders in Sales
Planning requirements, scheduling work in Production Planning and Control
n The structural logic that applies to vendors and customers is also valid for material master records.
When creating an order for a customer, you must take transport agreements, delivery and payment
conditions, and so on, with business partners into consideration. To avoid re-entering this
information each time for every activity related to these business partners, relevant data for the
activity from the master record of the business partner is simply copied.
n In the same way, the material master record stores information, such as the price per unit of quantity,
and stock per storage location that is processed during order entry. This concept is valid for
processing data for each master record included in the activity.
Rewards points if helpful.

What is Master Data Hormonization?
Hi dear friends,
1) What is Master Data Harmonization?
2) please explain me with one good example? please...
3) What are the SAP NetWeaver MDM six core and business scenarios? Explain each with one exampleHi,
SAP provides six scenarios u2014 or approaches to working with SAP NetWeaver u2014 to help companies maintain their master data while at the same supporting a flexible, innovative IT environment. These are as follows:
1. Master Data Consolidation u2014
In this scenario, users use SAP NetWeaver MDM to collect master data from several systems at a central location, detect and clean up duplicate and identical objects, and manage the local object keys for cross-system communication. With this consolidated data, users can access the information they need to perform company-wide analyses and consolidated reporting.
2. Master Data Harmonization---
This scenario enhances the Master Data Consolidation scenario by forwarding the consolidated master data information to all connected, remote systems, thus depositing unified, high-quality data in heterogeneous system landscapes. With this scenario, you can synchronize central data contents u2014 that is, globally relevant data u2014 based on your results. For example, you can assign the same address to all occurrences of a particular customer.
3. Central Master Data Management---
Whereas the emphasis in the Master Data Harmonization scenario is on local data maintenance, the Central Master Data Management scenario focuses on cleansing data in the central data repository. It then distributes the cleansed data to the connected application systems.
4. Rich Product Content Management---
This scenario is intended for the product information management (PIM) market, as it offers many functions for managing product data and corresponding image files centrally via SAP NetWeaver MDM. It can also be used to prepare for publishing product catalogs, either in electronic Web format or in print.
5. Customer Data Integration---
The Customer Data Integration scenario lets you harmonize customer master data records across heterogeneous systems.
6. Global Data Synchronization---
Through Global Data Synchronization, unified object information is synchronized with data pools, such as UCCnet and Transora, in a standard industrial format, then provided
to trading partners.
Through these different ways of using the capabilities of SAP NetWeaver MDM, companies can structure a master data strategy around their data unification goals u2014 based on their unique business processes, organizational structure, or industry.

Data Integrator - Bulk Load Append ERROR
Hi,
Im working in a SYBASE database and i have the following error:
My source table for example have 1000 rows and i set my target table with the bulk load append option every 100 rows to commit, but every time when the process ends in my target i have 900 rows, i think the data integrator dont commit the last 100 rows.
I have a "clean" pass of data, no where, no joins is a simple copy from one table to another table.
Anyone can give me a solution or something to solve this problem?
Thanks a lot...Sybase ASE or IQ and which version ?
what is the Data Integrator version that you are using ?
is the job failing with errors ? may be the last batch is not committed because of constraints on the target table, did you try inserting the same set of rows without bulk load ? try inserting the rows without bulk load and see if it gives any errors -
Hai friends,
could you please explain me about what is Customizing Data and Customizing Table.I have gone through lot of documents but i didn't get the answer regading that
Plz clarify my doubt.
Thank you in advance.Hi,
1. Customizing table is
a very SPECIAL MASTER TABLE
where VERY IMPORTANT RECORDS
are maintained.
2. Such records, affect calculations / flow / logic etc .
3. Important thing about customizing table,
is that it will ask for REQUEST NUMBER,
whenever we try to add / modify any record in it.

Customer master data, Materials master data integration Integration in XI
Dear Experts,
I need your help in the following cases
We are integrating MDM 5.5 to ECC6.0 via XI 3.0.
1. I am not able to understand exactly what interfaces, mappings, integration scenarios from sap delivered MDM Business Content need to use for integrating customer master data , Materials from MDM 5.5 to ECC 6, As we are using standard content.
2. What idoc types needs to be created in ECC for these two scenarios ( customer, material /products).
3. Is there any way to see the field mappings easily in XI , as the MDM standard business content for XI used xslt mapping programs .
Could you please give helping hand with step by step procedure for customer, material integration in XI.
Help is rewarded and greatly appreciated.
Best Regards.
nag.Hello Nag,
1. I am not able to understand exactly what interfaces, mappings, integration scenarios from sap delivered MDM Business Content need to use for integrating customer master data , Materials from MDM 5.5 to ECC 6, As we are using standard content.
If you import Business Content of MDM 5.5. You should easily figure out that by looking at the Message Mapping for DEBMAS03 IDoc.
.2. What idoc types needs to be created in ECC for these two scenarios ( customer, material /products).
No need to create any Master IDocs in SAP system. You can find them with the name DEBMAS (For Customer) and MATMAS (Material).
3. Is there any way to see the field mappings easily in XI , as the MDM standard business content for XI used xslt mapping programs .
If you really want to know how the XSL Mapping is programmed. You can export the XSL from XI and open it in standard XML /XSL editor (say Stylus Studio ) to see how the output is programmed

What happened to custom dates in iCal?
Custom dates never made it to iPhone and iPad but it now seems to be changed in iCal. I used to be able to select "the first Tuesday of the month...(etc.)". Now I can only put in "Every 4 weeks". Not what I want. How hard is that to make it work? It used to work.

Make sure that your custom ringtones are NOT in your Music Library. They will not transfer or work if they are.
The should only be in the RingTones Folder. -
Issue with creating array of custom data type - WebLogic Integration
Hi,
We are doing WebLogic integration with Siebel for which from Siebel side we have generated java wrapper class which has all the methods, input\outputs defined and in\out params are serialized along with get\set methods. Following are the details of the input\output args.
Account_EMRIO.java
public class Account_EMRIO implements Serializable, Cloneable, SiebelHierarchy {
protected String fIntObjectFormat = null;
protected String fMessageType = "Integration Object";
protected String fMessageId = null;
protected String fIntObjectName = "Account_EMR";
protected String fOutputIntObjectName = "Account_EMR";
protected ArrayList <AccountIC> fintObjInst = null;
Above class also includes constructors\overloaded constructor\getters\setters
public AccountIC getfintObjInst() {
if(fintObjInst != null) {
return (AccountIC)fintObjInst.clone();
}else{
return null;
public void setfintObjInst(AccountIC val) {
if(val != null) {
if(fintObjInst == null) {
fintObjInst = new ArrayList<AccountIC>();
fintObjInst.add(val);
For the nested user defined data type AccountIC, it is defined in another java class as below
AccountIC.java
public class AccountIC implements Serializable, Cloneable, SiebelHierarchy {
protected String fname = null;
protected String fParent_Account_Id= null;
protected String fPrimary_Organization = null;
With the above, I was able to get all the AccountIC in the wsdl correctly and using this I was able to set the input param in the client
WSDL:
<xs:complexType name="accountEMRIO">
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element name="fIntObjectFormat" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
<xs:element name="fIntObjectName" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
<xs:element name="fMessageId" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
<xs:element name="fMessageType" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
<xs:element name="fOutputIntObjectName" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
<xs:element name="fintObjInst" type="tns:accountIC" minOccurs="0"/>
</xs:sequence>
<xs:complexType name="accountIC">
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element name="fName" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
<xs:element name="fParent_Account_Id" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
<xs:element name="fPrimary_Organization" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
minOccurs="0"/>
</xs:sequence>
</xs:complexType>
Now, I wanted to make slight difference in getter method of class Account_EMRIO method getfintObjInst so that an array of AccountIC is retured as output.
public ArrayList<AccountIC> getfintObjInst() {
if(fintObjInst != null) {
return (ArrayList<AccountIC>)fintObjInst.clone();
}else{
return null;
With the above change, once the wsdl is generated, I am no longer getting fintObjInst field for AccountIC due to which I am unable to get the array list of accountIC
WSDL:
<xs:complexType name="accountEMRIO">
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element name="fIntObjectFormat" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
<xs:element name="fIntObjectName" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
<xs:element name="fMessageId" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
<xs:element name="fMessageType" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
<xs:element name="fOutputIntObjectName" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/>
</xs:sequence>
</xs:complexType>
The issue that I am facing here is, we have a custom data type(AccountIC) which has several fields in it. In the output I need a array of AccountIC. In the java bean, when this type was defined as
protected ArrayList <AccountIC> fintObjInst = null; I was unable to get a array of AccountIC. this gets complicated as inside a AccountIC there is array of contacts as well and all the time I am getting just the first records and not a array.
To summarize: How to get xsd:list or maxoccurs property for a field in WSDL for the user defined\custom datatype?
Can someone help me with this.
Thanks,
Sudha.can someone help with this??

What is the input "key" in the IMAQ Write Custom Data palette?
Hello!
I am not able to use correctly the IMAQ Write Custom Data palette because I do not know what is the input "key".
Does anyone know its meaning?

I agree with this. I have already read this information in the LabView Help.
However, I would like to know what is the "key" specifically. I know that it is a string.
I have written a code to add some acquisition features in a PNG Image File. For this, I have used the following palettes: IMAQ Write File 2 - PNG with Vision Info and IMAQ Write Custom Data.
Afterwards, I have written another code to read the acquisition features from this PNG Image File. For this one, I have used the following palettes: IMAQ Read Image and Vision Information and IMAQ Read Custom Data.
But, when I am reading the acquisition features, an error message appears: "ERROR -1074395723 occurred at IMAQ Read Custom Data - IMAQ Vision: The key you specified cannot be found in the image"
I do not know what I have to put in the input "key". So, I have been trying different values for it: "data", "hello", "13", "56", etc. But, none of these has worked and the same message has appeared.
Does someone know what I have to put in the input "key"? Does someone have an example that shows how to use the palettes: "IMAQ Write Custom Data" and "IMAQ Read Custom Data" correctly?

Customer Data Hub Required for EBS 11i?
Is the Customer Data Hub required for EBS 11i to work correctly? It appears to be a supplemental product and not a required core product.
Oracle Customer Data Hub (CDH) is not a mandate for EBS users. However, it solely depends on the Organizational needs. If an Organization decides to have SSOT (Single Source Of Truth) for it's customer data they can go with CDH solution.
CDH is a complete packaged solution that allows companies to create a single, enterprise view of their customer base, by consolidating/synchronizing customer data from heterogeneous systems into a central, operational, data store. CDH alone will not suffice the requirement. CDH ties with Oracle Customers Online (OCO), Customer Data Librarian (CDL), and the Oracle Trading Community Architecture (TCA) to create a robust, scalable, central repository of duplicate-free, enriched data across a heterogeneous landscape.
Hope this helps.

What's going on with re-ordering custom data types?
OK, I can't make heads or tails out of this one:
I've got a bunch of custom data types in my own typedef file (and it's part of my type palettes).
I open up my types browser, select my type file, go browse to the "custom data types" section.
I want them in a different order so I can better understand them.
(actually I select the one below it (TekTimestamp) and try dragging it up and down the list. anywhere I go I get the circle with a cross through it saying I can't drag it here.
OK, give up on that one.
Then I'll grab TekSimulateMode typedef
Try dragging it around, and I get the nice black line saying I can drag it somewhere else -- looks kinda like this:
Notice I dragged it only one spot down, and the item I dragged it across is used in exactly the usage locations, and neither has any nested typedefs (they are only containers of primitive boolean/string). Also notice that it and everything I dragged it across is owned by this type file.
Once I let up on the mouse, I get this warning message popping up:
What's up?? Why can't I change the location of the first typedef (ordering) within the file, but I can for the second??
Why do I get this dialog when I move a typedef within a file that already owns it??Oop. My bad. I was so eager to help you out...
I know it has to do with the Usage column. Since you are changing your Station Globals.ini by dragging them around I think the warning is from there. I know that once you have instances of them then you are now changing that data type for all those locations. That's why you can't delete them if you have an instance. It won't (or shouldn't) affect anything by moving them other than you may now have to save your station globals and sequence files again. Not sure if it revs the version or not, it doesn't look like it did on mine.
As for the one that won't move? Not sure on that one. I've never seen that. Possible some instance is restricting it.
Hope this helps some,
