What is included in the 1 year free warranty for an iphone4?

Like most any warranty it covers manufacturer defects.
It does not cover anything else.
Apple's Limited Warranty for iPhone excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications. Please review the warranty for further details.
An iPhone that is ineligible for warranty service may be eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service. For example, an iPhone that has failed due to damage or liquid damage is ineligible for warranty service but eligible for OOW service. However, certain damage is ineligible for OOW service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications. Please see Apple's Repair Terms And Conditions for further details. Refer to this article to check if the Liquid Contact indicator on your product has been triggered.
If your iPhone is not eligible for warranty service and you are a Verizon customer, you may wish to contact Verizon for other options.

  • Is a cracked screen and back of the phone included in the 1 year free warranty?

Trapped my phone in a door and the front and back is all cracked, only got it in december and it isnt insured. Just wondering if repairing the screen is included in the 1 year free warranty you get from apple when you get the phone.

Best option if you do want it replaced is head to an Apple Retail Store. Instore they will do on the spot repair/replacement, and you'll be charged.
$249AUD ($199USD) will be a full phone replacement where they will issue you with a replacement unit (so you'd NEED to backup all your data first)
Or if possible they may just replace the glass (depending on the damage) at a cheaper cost that they will quote on the spot.

  • What is covered in the first year of warranty?

I have yet to buy the AppleCare for my MacBook Pro but have every intention of purchasing it this summer. With that said, what exactly is covered in the first year of warranty? Is parts and labor still covered or what?

So if my hard drive is indeed defective, I'm out of luck since I am over 90 days???
If it's a manufacturing defect, you're covered for the first year. Only free phone support for software issues is restricted to the first 90 days.

  • What is included in the 1st year iPhone 5 Warranty?

I got my phone on September 2, 2013 and dropped it today on concrete. The front screen is cracked completely and I am getting glass stuck in my fingers. I understand that there is a warranty with all new and refurbished Apple products. Would a screen repair be included in this warranty?

Mine broke too .. not drunk tho .. total sober fumble.  In store is $149.

If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken
Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead, they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model.
ATTN: Beginning July 2013 Apple Stores are now equipped to do screen repairs/replacements in-house on iPhone 5s. In some cases while you wait. According to Apple this is the beginning of equipping Apple Stores with the resources needed to do most repairs for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches that would not require major replacements. Later in the year the services may be extended as Apple Stores become equipped and staffed with the proper repair expertise. So, if you need a screen repaired or a broken screen replaced or have your stuck Home button fixed, call your local Apple Store to see if they are now doing these in-house.
You may take your device to an Apple retailer for help or you may call Customer Service and arrange to send your device to Apple:

There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task:
    1. iResq or Google for others.
    2. Buy and replace screen yourself: iFixit

  • Higher Education 3 year free warranty transfer

My sister bought a Macbook Air last year with the HE discount, for use at her university. As part of this she got the 3 year HE warranty for free.
We have agreed that I will buy the computer off her, but the warranty still has another 2 years.
My question is: does the HE warranty follow the user or the computer? Is it registered to my sisters name or the actual computer itself?
If it is registered to her, is there a way to transfer the warranty into my name?
If anyone can help, it would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ben.

It sounds like this is not a typical AppleCare Service Agreement, which does provide for transfer to a new owner. I've seen certain programs like the one you mention differ from AppleCare isasmuch as there is no telephone software support after 90 days, whereas AppleCare does provide for it for the entire 3 years.
Included with the purchase of the system should be a Warranty Terms and Conditions document which will spell out the procedure, if any exists, to transfer to a new owner.
Here is the wording from the standard AppleCare T & C.....
    10. Transfer of Plan
With Transfer of Covered Equipment to New Owner. Subject to the restrictions set forth below, you may make a one-time permanent transfer of all of your rights under the Plan to another party, provided that: (a) the transfer includes the original Proof of Purchase, the Plan's Confirmation and all of the Plan's packaging material, including printed materials and these Terms and Conditions; (b) you notify Apple of the transfer by sending, faxing or e-mailing notice of transfer to Apple Inc., ATTN: Agreement Administration, MS: 217AC, 2511 Laguna Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95758, U.S., fax number 916-405-3655 or [email protected], respectively; and (c) the party receiving the Plan accepts the Terms and Conditions of the Plan. When notifying Apple of the transfer of the Plan, you must provide the Plan Agreement Number, the serial number of the Covered Equipment being transferred and the name, address, telephone number and email address of the new owner.

OmniDiskSweeper is likely the easiest/best, and is now free...

  • What's Included in the Server Package

I have been using SBS08 for the past few years and we are now ready to upgrade our system to Server 2012. We have more users than would be allowed by the Essentials package.
When we purchased SBS08, it came with Exchange and SQL.
My question is what is included in the server package? Does it come with Exchange and SQL or do these applications have to be purchased separately?
    Thanks!

Server comes with Server.  You can see what is there by looking at the TechNet library.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb625087.aspx
Applications like Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc. are all extras.
Personally (I do not work for Microsoft) when making a move like you are making, I would seriously consider looking into Office 365 or some other hosted Exchange service rather than paying to set one up internally.  My logic on this is that it is a
commodity.  I have seen very, very, very few Exchange installations that were different enough that the management of it was unique to the company and provided a strategic value to the company.  If your Exchange implementation is not of that
flavor, why bother with the internal expense of setting it up and managing it?  Initial reaction is often that one can do it for less than a subscription service, but if you look at all the costs of running it and the cost of the time it takes away from
working on applications that do provide strategic value to your company, you might find the cost of a subscription service to be less costly.

  • HT1386 what is included in the "other" category

I am trying to find out what is included in the yellow "other" category on my iPad. I have more space taken up by that than anything else.

This is copied from one of the countless discussions about the "other" issue on iDevices.
That large of "other" is corrupt data. Try restoring your iPad from backup first, followed by syncing your content back to the device. If restoring from backup does not fix things, you will have to restore as a new device to get rid of it. There is no way to directly delete it, other than restoring your iPad.
Other includes app data and files, Safari Bookmarks and history, Notes, Calendar entries, text messages and email messages - basically the non media items on the iPad. If it is taking up that much room - more than anything else on your iPad - you should follow the suggestion I posted above.

What is included with the Ipad2 wi-fi 3G?

What do you mean by, what is included?  Do you mean what is included in the box?  If you do, you get an iPad,  a USB cable, a 10W charger, an Apple Logo Sticker and a very small booklet that gives you the most basic set up instructions.

  • Local node not included in the list of host names for grid installation

I'm attempting to install clusterware on Solaris 11 on 2 nodes. I've tried tweaking the /etc/hosts file in a few different ways by including the fully-qualified name and without it for the localhost, but it still gives me this error every time. The runcluvfy.sh script doesn't run on Solaris 11. Does anyone know how to get around this problem?
I've tried this using the silent install and with OUI, but got the same error both ways. This is the format of the node names:
    oracle.install.crs.config.clusterNodes=myLocalNode:myLocalNode-vip1,myOtherNode:myOtherNode-vip2
[FATAL] [INS-40907] Local node not included in the list of host names for grid installation.
CAUSE: The local node (the node where you are running the installer) was missing from the list of host names you provided.
ACTION: Include the local node in the list of host names for grid installation.

    Hi,
what Oracle Version are you trying to install?
Best to directly start with 11.2.0.3 and look in MOS for certification, hints requirements.

Within the warranty period, unless the failure was caused by accidental damage it will be replaced for free.

What's new in the BIOS Update v2.00 for Satellite l505-144
    Thanks

    Hi mate
As far as I know Toshiba European driver page does not provide any details what has been changed in the BIOS.
But I found some details on Toshiba US page.
It seems that Fn+N+1/2/3/4 debug function has been removed in BIOS 2.0 to avoid keyboard abnormal behavior.
