What is ITUNES problem(S)?
Like most everyone on this board, I have been unable to connect to itunes for a few weeks, even though my internet access is fine. Since the problem seemed to start when I installed itunes v7.5.0.20, I totally uninstalled it, including my music database (Backed up, of course) and went back to an older version. This did nothing to help, so I decided to completely wipe my laptop and reinstall everything. *PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS* unless you don't mind losing all of your files, settings, and any drivers you have installed. Besides that, it did nothing to alleviate the problem, regardless of which version of itunes i installed.
I attempted everything that was recommended by all of you and numerous other things I thought may help. I even went so far as to tweak the settings on my routers and gateway *(AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!!)*.
Here's the best part; I mentioned the problem to my wife and she told me that neither she nor my kids have been able to access itunes either!!
I checked and found none of the computers in my house worked with itunes,so I called my sister and she told me she was having the same problem.
After all of this fun, i tried to use it this morning and miraculously, it works again.
In my opinion, I believe there is a problem with the software the itunes server is using and apple doesn't want to admit it because it's too close to Christmas and a formal announcement about the problem could possible hurt sales.
She also might need to ''deactivate'' her account. That way her id doesn't keep popping up, and you needing to enter her password

You have to install the iCloud control panel for windows, then sign in with you apple ID, and check what you want to sync.

If you are the only user on your computer you probably don't have multiple user accounts set up and can disregard that. If you are using iTunes 11 go to View>Show Sidebar. Now see if your iPad appears under Devices on the left side when you connect it. If it does, click on the name of your iPad on the left side and your iTunes sync settings options will appear in folders with tabbed headings to the right.

But it can auto sync when i connect it to my old laptop. what's the problem that it can't auto sync and when i did a backup in my new laptop, it was corrupted the next day and i was forced to use back a backup which i did in my old laptop 4 months ago. do i have to reinstall the itunes? will my backups be corrupted after i sync again? pls guide.
P.S/ its the latest version of the itunes whenever i did the backups.iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

My Ipod touch is frozen. The screen shows only USB cable with arrow point to the word Itunes. What is the problem? This is the second touch I have had that has this same problem. HELP!
This time try restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod instead of from backup. You may have some corruption that is causing the problem and it may now be in the backup. If the problem persists after restoring to factory defaults/new iPod. then you likely have a hardware problem and ana ppointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Essentially, the bare issue is that you have a 500GB hard drive with only 10GB free. That is not sufficient to run the system properly. The two options you have are to move/remove files to another location, or to install a larger hard drive (eg 2TB). Drive space has nothing to do with SMC firmware, and usually large media files are to blame.
My first recommendation is this: download and run the free OmniDiskSweeper. This will identify the exact size of all your folders - you can drill down into the subfolders and figure out where your largest culprits are. For example, you might find that your Pictures folder contains both an iPhoto Library and copies that you've brought in from a camera but are outside the iPhoto Library structure. Or perhaps you have a lot of purchased video content in iTunes.
If you find files that you KNOW you do not need, you can delete them. Don't delete them just because you have a backup, since if the backup fails, you will lose all your copies.
Don't worry about "cleaners" for now - they don't save much space and can actually cause problems. Deal with the large file situation first and see how you get on.
Let us know what you find out, and if you manage to get your space back.

Cannot install itunes 11.1.3 to my windows vista home premium 32-bit. After it finishes the download that it verifies the file I get a message saying "this file cannot be downloaded". What could the problem be??? I uninstalled my itunes and tried again and keep getting the same message. Please help !

I recently upgraded to iTunes 11.1.5 and now my iPod Nano is not recognized in iTunes. I also upgraded my iPhone 5s to iOS 7.1. i Tunes on my computer does recognize my iPhone. What is the problem with my iPod Nano not being recognized?
I would think, Twins1995, that if we are having the problem, others are as well. Hopefully, Apple will shortly issue a follow-up software release to fix the problem. Or is that just wishful thinking on my part.
It would be helpful, if there were some kind of work-around in the interim, so we can use our devices. Pretty frustrating when you consider that all of the hardware and software is produced by Apple. -
IPOD model A1059 appears frozen and is unresponsive to all click wheel entries. Reset does not work. Does not show up in ITunes or in Windows Explorer. What is the problem and is there a fix?
If you are unable to reset the iPod (assuming the hold switch is not in the On position either), then you'll have to let the iPod's battery fully drain. Then connect it to a charger and leave it to charge for a couple of hours.

I had the same problem with my phone, its a 3gs, out of no where my laptop stop recognizing it and wouldnt charge either, i got worried because i had all my pix and videos on my phone and didn't have a copy, so i started searching on the internet for an answer to my issue, bought extra usb cables, used different laptops and nothing worked .. Untill i took my cell phone apart and thought about replacing the (charge port assembly for apple Iphone 3gs) so ordered the part online and 3 days later got it and i just replaced it right now... and guess what/??? IT WORKED!!! YEAP.. NOW MY CELL IS CHARGING AND I JUST SYNC MY STUFF.. I HOPE THIS CAN SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM... AND ONLY COST ME 8 DLLS

Trying to download from iTunes and when I clicked on the Sync button, it indicates that it is waiting to sync. Then it comes back saying sync failed. What is the problem ?
