What is mDNSResponderHelper SIOCGIFINFO_IN6 failed?

I just got a new MacBook Pro w/ Mountain Lion and have noticed the following error quite frequently in my Console:
mDNSResponderHelper[]: do_mDNSInterfaceAdvtIoctl: ioctl call SIOCGIFINFO_IN6 failed - error (22) Invalid argument
I'm having trouble finding any useful information on the error.  Does this have something to do with inconsistencies involving IPv6?
My system specs in case they help:

It's been a while since I last posted. I see this error message in my system log every few days (not all the time). A rather strange one. I googled it but didn't find much info other that something related to Broadband Optimizer which I don't use:
*Feb 26 11:37:58 localhost kernel[0]: in6_ifattach: lo0 failed to attach a linklocal address.*
Does anyone have any idea of what this message means and if it is any cause for concern? I do use a D-Link Router if that's of any help.
The reference to "lo0" is to the "loopback" interface: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loopback .
I have no idea why you're seeing that message or how to prevent it.
This is sheer speculation, but I also wonder if the "6" in "in6" might relate to IPv6.

    hi,
ou use message monitoring in the following cases:
    ● To track the status of messages
    ● To find errors that have occurred and establish what caused them
Check this help for further info:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2f/4e313f8815d036e10000000a114084/content.htm
You use end-to-end monitoring in the following cases:
    ● If you want to monitor message processing steps in a number of SAP components (to be configured).
    ● If you want to monitor the path of individual messages through these SAP components, from start to end.
Check this help for further info:

  • What does "Ajax submit failed: error =403, Forbidden" mean? I can't sign in.

When I try to sign in to the hpeprintcenter I get the message "Ajax submit failed:  error =403, Forbidden"  What does this mean?  What do I need to do.  I can't sign in!  I also can't get a new password.  Even though I try, I get no response after hitting the "submit" link.  I even tried to create a new account and it wouldn't let me do that.  I'm stuck.

  • OS X Lion suddenly has two hard discs, one of which "has SMART errors -and cannot be repaired." the original hard disc is fine. What to do about failing HD?

I have an iMac Lion 10.7.5. It has been freezing and iphoto doesn't work, cannot reload iphoto, it does it then freezes the computer.  So, I tried to download Maverick, and couldn't as it said " disk has SMART erros and has a hardward problem that can't be repaired."  After going into disc utitlity, I find that there is the original hard disk and now a new one that is above it, written in red letters. The original disk is in good shape, all is well with it.  The other hard disk is unrepairable and says it is failing and needs to be replaced.  I cannot erase it either.  What to do?   I don't need a new hard drive as the original one is there and says all is well.   Help!

You have a failing HD that needs to be replaced. Before you do anything backup the computer, this is critical!!!!!!!!! Then take the machine into your local Apple Store or AASP to have the HD replaced. Ask that the store install Lion for you and then you can use  your backup to restore all of your data, apps, settings, etc..

  • What exactly is happening/failing when "GPIB Interfaces sequentially verified" FAILS?

I have an AT-GPIB/TNT+ card installed in my computer. It fails the "GPIB Interfaces sequentially verified" portion of the Wizard program. I am able to communicate (IBIC) with my instruments, so it appears that all is working well. I do have older non-compliant GPIB interfaces so the "Scan for Instruments" does not work. What exactly is failing in the Wizard and what can I do? I have windows 95.0.

    Janet,
Typically when the installations fails the sequential verification, it is due to either a resource conflict or a device being connected to the board during the test. You can click on the failed interface to get a brief explination of what may have caused the error.
There are instances reported using the AT-GPIB/TNT+ board and Win 98 inwhich this error was reported even though there were no problems with the board's setup. Since you are communicating properly with the board through IBIC your board is functioning properly, and I would not be concerned with the error message.
As for your instrument, this is likely due to your instruments non-compliance to 488.2 standards. Whenever the Measurement & Automation Explorer does a "Scan for Instruments", it sends out the stri
ng "*idn?" (which is an IEEE 488.2 identification query string) to all of the devices on the bus. If you have older, non-IEEE 488.2 compliant instruments on your GPIB, then they will not recognize this string as a valid command. This will cause "Scan for Instruments" to fail.
    Best Regards,

    Goodmorning Gary.
    From ACS 5.3 release notes.
    View Log Message Recovery
ACS 5.3 provides a new feature to recover any logs that are missed when the view is down. ACS collects these missed logs and stores them in its database.
Using this feature, you can retrieve the missed logs from the ACS database to the view database after the view is up.
To use this feature, you must set the Log Message Recovery Configuration as on. For more details on configuring the View Log Message Recovery, see User Guide for Cisco Secure Access Control System 5.3.
This feature must be enabled, under Monitoring and Reports, Launch Monitoring & Report Viewer. Successivamente Monitoring Configuration, System Operations e Log Message Recovery.
Enable “Log to Local Target” for categories under System Administration > Configuration > Log Configuration > Logging Categories > Global.
    Hope this helps.

  • What happens if PAM fails

Can some one explain me What happens if a Server holding PAM fails? What SAM will do if it is unable to contact PAM?

Yes, Windows 2008 onwards we always move 'cluster group' to any other node in cluster.
Remember we do not check for the availability of the node, while moving the 'cluster group'.
(I know what you are thinking :) . in your scenario, Server1 was holding Core resources and server failed for some reason, a Possible Owners list is built for the entire group ( cluster group) and 'cluster group' is moved to
one of the remaining nodes. their is no guarantee that it will move to server2 or server 3. bcs server1 cluster service is down and cannot determine the stauts of other two nodes.
you might ask what if Server2 is paused at the same time, will it move to Server 3 ?
NO, wince windows 2008 onwards pausing node do not prevent cluster group from moving to that node.
