What is the best skin type case?

I will be carrying it in my pocket and want something thin. I tried the incase but it scratches the bezel and stretches.
Thanks

Get the BodyGuardz shield. I don't use the front shield that comes with it. I use the anti-glares from the Apple store. It is awesome.

I have a new Air and want to protect it from scratches and such.
    Thanks in advance

Sorry, I don't like "skins". They inhibit the heat transfer necessary to keep your MBA cool. Get a soft or hard case to store it when not in use. I like Speck products.
Just take care of it. Battle scars make it uniquely yours.

  • WHat is the best index type for non uniqueness / Varchar columns in SQL 2008 R2

    Hello All Greetings,
Please help me here with my doubt,
in my table i have two columns about a million rows, it has about 20 columns in it, three columns with name as Period, Gender so most of the time these two columns use in where clause,
Gender  will contain Either M or F , Period contains YYYY-Month (2013-December, 2013-August) etc so i would like to add a Index to these two columns so that in will increase the performance, so please let me know what type of indexes i need to add to
    these columns in the table,
please note that only one time we will add data to the table which will take only 2 minutes but we query the table every day
so my question what is the best index type that i need to create on columns with non uniqueness values in the column.,
    Thank you In Advance,
    Milan

There is nothing whatever wrong with creating an index on a VARCHAR column, or set of columns.
Regarding the performance of VARCHAR/INT, as with everything in a RDBMS, it depends on what you are doing. What you may be thinking of is the fact that clustering a table on a VARCHAR key is (in SQL Server) marginally less efficient than clustering on a monotonically
increasing numerical key, and can introduce fragmentation.
Or you may be thinking of what you have heard about writing JOINs on VARCHAR columns - it is true, it is a little less efficient than a JOIN on numeric type, but it is only a little less efficient, nothing that would lead you to never join on varchar cols.
None of this does not mean that you should not create indexes on VARCHAR columns. A needed index on a VARCHAR column will boost query performance, often by orders of magnitude. If you need an index on a VARCHAR, create it. It makes no sense to try to find an
integer column to create the index on - the engine will never use it.

  • What is the best data type to store XML string

    Hello all,
If we want to store a XML string in oracle database table for some other program use what is the best data type that we can use in the table to store this XML string..
Is it VARCHAR? or can we use BLOB type
    Anybody to help please

If your XML data will not be larger than 4000 characters then use VARCHAR2 else CLOB. I don't see a need to use BLOB (unless your XML data contains binary information).

  • What is the best data type for wallet application?

    Hi Friends..
I want to know what is the best data type for wallet application..
Assume that, i want to the Total of money saved digitally in Applet Wallet..
And then if there's any transaction the Total of money which saved digitally in Applet Wallet would be Subtracted or Added depends on how much money that spent or saved..
Which one is the best implementation of these scenarios :
    1. I save the User ID and Total of money in the Java Card, and then if there's any transactions, it would be added or subtracted directly and then saved again in the Java Card
    2. Or.. I save the User ID in the Java Card whereas Total of money in the Database, and then if there's any transactions, the ID would be read from the Card, and then select the Database based on that ID, and then Add or Subtract the money depends on how much money spent in the Transaction
    Please help me regarding this
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Personally I would choose to store the total amount stored on the card. You could use two shorts (short[] perhaps) to store an integer (add more shorts to increase precision) and simply handle overflow your self. You could even look into using a third party library (or class) that treats a byte array as a big integer etc. There were some posts recently on floating point arithmetic that could be helpful for you since you will probably want to use decimals and JC does not natively support floats.

  • What is the BEST Zen micro case????!!

    Is the creative case good?

There is no best case. It all depends on what fits your needs.
The problem with the Creative case is that you have to flip the cover in order to change something. It is very durable though but some people want to use the Micro as soon as they take it out of their pockets.
Some say Vaja makes the best case since everything they do for you is custom made, has a great protect, custom made, and cost roughly around $70+. I wouldn't say the best because of it's price. But you do get what you paid for.
There are other cases out there like the armor case from boxwave. The silicon case on ebay that cost about $-$3 including shipping from a guy in Hong Kong. Custom made altoids tin with your own type of padding. Leather case for mistic audio. DLO action case which can be bought from Bestbuy or Compusa. Boxwave's silicon case with removable belt clip and some claim that it is thicker or the Rhino Skin silicon case is thicker.

  • What's the best slim/lightweight case for iPhone 4

I really don't want to put a case on this great looking phone. But if I need to, I would like a case that shows most of the phone and protects the back and screen from scratches. Some that I'm considering, elago, stealth, powersuppot. Thanks!

I don't know why anyone would pay so much for a case and gets carried away about this 'best protection' thing. If you drop your phone, it doesn't matter what case you have, it's luck whether you damage your phone or not...in my humble opinion. I got mine from here http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Square-Box-AV?_rdc=1
This guy is based in the UK. Not sure if he'll send to US but 99p including delivery in UK. Think he's trying to get rid of stock which is why it's so cheap but I did buy one and I've got to say, it's the best fitting case I've ever had!!
Think he also is currently doing deals on screen protectors too!!

  • What is the best pda type phone to sync with Macs?

What do people think is the best and easiest pda type phone to sync with a mac?
Have just bought a p990i only to discover that it wont sync. The phone itself is exactly what I want - however!!!!!!!
What would anyone recommend as an equivilant?
    TIA

There's a third-party syncing program called onsync, I think, that I've seen people discuss on here. Maybe that one will work with your mobile.

  • What is the best iPad air case?

Just got my new ipad and have been trying to find a decent case/cover for it.  I used to have a belkin tri-fold cover/case for my ipad 3 and that did the job.  With the air being so thin and light i dont want to beef it up too much with a cover.
Had been looking at the Logitech protective folio case - but read that it's very heavy.
    Any suggestions or recommendations?????????

I got the Smart Cover (front side only) and now I'm looking for something to protect the back side. I didn't purchase the Smart Case because it's too expensive. I don't want to add thickness to it either. I just need something to protect the device while I'm on the go. This sleeve looks great:
    http://goincase.com/shop/incase-neoprene-pro-sleeve-for-ipad
LivingSocial has a 50% discount coupon. Head over to slickdeals. Search for incase for iPad. That's how I got mine. I'm about to get one tonight.
    EDIT:
I just read a response from Kappy after posting my reply. I'm new here and honestly don't know this forum rules. If my post violates the rule... mods, feel free to delete my reply in this thread.

  • What is the best field type for currency calculations?

    Hiya,
I am doing a load of currency calculations e.g. here's one line of it
The 'Total' fields I am using for doing/totalling my calculations has been defined as a local variable that reference an amount field setup in the data dictionary as:
So in my program I am using these 2 decimal field.
Of course I now realize this is a problem, as lots of rounding occurs and my values are way out when you deal with amounts in the millions.
Does anyone know what type of variable they think is best for doing currency calculations?
And could you provide a simple example?
    Many thanks!

    Hello Robert,
I guess you can go ahead with ATFLV, incase if you want to display as a currency, you can use the function module  KKEK_CONVERT_FLOAT_TO_CURR.
DATA: c_lv_float TYPE ATFLV VALUE '4.4500000000000000E+02',
          c_lv_curr TYPE WAERS VALUE 'EUR',
          c_lv_currval TYPE NETWR_AP.
    CALL FUNCTION 'KKEK_CONVERT_FLOAT_TO_CURR'
      EXPORTING
        float_imp          = c_lv_float
        curr_imp            = c_lv_curr
    IMPORTING
      CURR_FIELD_EXP      = c_lv_currval
    EXCEPTIONS
      OVERFLOW            = 1
      OTHERS              = 2.
    IF sy-subrc <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
            WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ENDIF.
    WRITE:/ c_lv_currval.
    Output: 445,00

  • What are the best ipad mini cases

Does any one have any recomendations foran ipad mini cases?

    MikeNMN wrote:
I agree with the earlier post, you gotta go with the Otterbox Case. I purchased this case for my IPad Mini. It is a perfect fit and does not add much weight at all. It is great protection and a necessity to have this for the IPAD Mini. The stand is nice for both upright and side display of the iPad Mini on my desk.
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009WU5XUG
I'm what you consider a gadget junkie always trying out new products and since the introduction to tablets (iPad's) I've been searching for that perfect case as well. I've owned the clamcase (keys broke three months from purchase date and yes, just after the warranty expired), hard shell, soft shell, leather cases, and the Otterbox Defender case for the iPad2. The previous edition I was not as impressed with. The silicon was a bit loose and felt too bulky but it did do it's job twice, when I dropped it on concrete. I just purchased the iPad Mini and shopping for a case, a young man sold me this otter box that was his display. This case rocks!!! The silicon wraps tightly around the plastic case which feels like one entire piece. It does add to the weight of the mini but definitely better than the larger version, not to mention, the peace of mind knowing it's protected. Also, the rubber port covers for the plug, earphones actually stay in place when pushed in.
A brief word about some of the AMAZING features of this case... The screen protector is built in to the top part of the case, and although I had trepidation about that initially, my fears were allayed; the screen sits on the screen directly and there is no space between the screen and the protector. The removable cover doubles as a stand in several positions, and feels like Cole Hamels could throw a fastball at it and it would still protect the screen. Also, you can use it on the front or the back so if you're throwing your mini in a backpack or luggage, you can do it without fear.
Obviously there's not too much to say about this case that hasn't already been said. It's tough, it's stylish and it's functional. But that should be no surprise... OtterBox is renowned for their cases by now. All I can recommend is this: to those who are wondering whether it is worth the money, imagine what it will be like to take your iPad mini out of the OtterBox in a year and have it look exactly the same as the day you bought it. No scratches, no scuffs, cracks.
It's just an amazing case, well worth money for the peace of mind it brings.

  • What's the best ipod touch case/cover?

So I need a case or cover. Not too picky.
    BUT...
I've seen that the cheaper cases scratch the heck out of the back.
The Otterboxes look good. But some of the reviews for those are horrible as well.
The Griffin Survivor at the Apple store seems to be majorly flawed. There's no hole for the light sensor!

I'm partial to the otterbox commuter. Not sure west you consider a good price though...
