What is the latest version of Adobe Acrobat to work on Vista, and how does one obtain it?

I already bought Creative Cloud, but apparently I can't use the new version of Acrobat on Vista (even though I had a working version last week that they somehow destroyed by making it crash when saving my work). I upgraded specifically to get around the crash-on-save error their tech support refused to help me with, and was assured an upgrade would fix it. Now I don't have Acrobat at all and need to work on forms for our office.

NOthing to do with any of that. Acro 11 should work just fine on Vista. The rest is too vague. You have not provided any details about the crash or other tech stuff. Chances are you may simply need to manually delete some damaged component like a PDF preset and reinstall after that...

You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3.183.23 or later, is for Intel Macs only running Tiger or Leopard, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.4.402.265 or later is for Snow Leopard onwards.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

The current updates 10.1.13 and 11.0.10 no longer support Windows XP SP3. The last versions to test were 10.1.10 and 11.0.3 I think. But I wouldn't recommend using those because of the Security Updates in between those versions and the current updates. Microsoft doesn't even support Windows XP SP3 any longer. I would say to try updating both the OS and the applications.

I have seen this issue fixed for some users by modifying the following registry key:
The key is "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" MoveImages
Set the key to 1 instead of 0 then reboot the machine.
In case you still face the issue try the following registry key change:
The only thing you have to do is rename the following key at the REGEDIT, and everything will be fine !!
BEFORE:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.exe
AFTER:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.old

I have windows (crap) seven and internet explorer. When I try to access movies or tv shows, I'm always asked to install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. When I check the programs list, it indicates that Adobe Flash Player Active X is installed. I have uninstalled adobe and reinstalled it several times. Do you suppose this is a virus, and I need to redo the hard drive completely?

This Mac currently has Safari 5.0.4. Software Update shows a newer version of iTunes and of course the combo updater to 10.6.8 but nothing else. I imagine the 10.6.8 updater contains a later version of Safari but I don't now which version it is and whether it is backward compatible with older versions of 10.6. There are a number of newer versions of Safari: 5.0.5. 5.0.6, 5.1.1, 5.1.2, . . . 5.1.10 to name a few but would any of them work with 10.6.6? In a similar thread a guy asked a similar question to mine: he had 10.6.6 and wanted to upgrade to a newer version of Safari. He tried installing various versions but was rejected each time. He finally asked if there was any newer version of Safari that would install on 101.6.6 - but he never got an answer.
Software Update displayed a newer iTunes but no mention of Safari. I wonder if this indicates that the 5.0.4 Safari that I have is the latest version there is for 10.6.6. Anybodyknow for sure?

Hi HARI,
Yes, that short video is demonstrating LC Designer (albeit an earlier version).
The video is showing how to create a dynamic form, where you can add and remove items at runtime and have other dynamic features. Do develop this type of form you will need LC Designer ES2 (current version 9). As I said this runs on Windows, so you would need a virtual machine on the Mac to run Windows.
LC Designer comes with Acrobat X Pro for Windows (Note it does NOT come with Acrobat X Pro for Mac). See http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/matrix.html.
You also need to consider what your users will have to fill in the forms: Acrobat OR Reader. There are some features that will not be available in Reader unless you Reader enable the form. For example users with Reader will not be able to save their data in a form that has not been Reader enabled.

You can also see some short sample forms here, which will give you an idea on some of the dynamic features: http://assure.ly/eEPuCM. All of these were created with LC Designer.
Forms that are created in LC Designer are in accordance with the XFA specification. They are wrapped in a PDF wrapper that allows then to be opened in Acrobat/Reader. However they are not like a standard/native PDF and some standard Acrobat features, like commenting may not be available.
You can also create forms directly in Acrobat, these are called AcroForms. They can be used to collect data, but generally don't have the same level of dynamic behaviour that you saw in the video.
There are plenty of examples on the forums, so I would recommend that you explore these before you make any purchase. There can be a learning curve, depending on whether you have scripted before.

We were recently given an older Gateway laptop that we intend to use solely as an internet terminal. Alas, it is running Windows ME and I don't even know if it has all the specs to upgrade (and certainly not to Vista, which is the only thing we have an install disk for). It currently has Firefox 2.0.0.20, which of course contains numerous security vulnerabilities and is incompatible with most newer plugins. I use my iPad in Bangladesh. my iOS is 3.2.2. I tried to download and install the latest one several times. but every time near the end of the download a message appears as " an error occured during installation. internet connection timed out" and the process terminates and restarts again from the begaining. download speed of the connection is around 128MBps.last time it was only a few kilobytes left when the termination occured. can any body please suggest a solution of this problem. it will be a great help.

In light of the latest Firefox and the fact that it does not listen to my download retention setting and that "browser.download.panel.removeFinishedDownloads" no longer exists, how do I clear the download history automatically after each download without clearing browser history too? If this is not an option then it is either a serious bug or an important feature removed. If this continues, this is a big reason for me to discontinue using firefox. Really guys! Why?!

What happens when you try to access those files? Do you get an error message? If so, what is it?
Are the files you're trying to access on a particular website? Are you opening them via a browser, or downloading them and trying to open directly in Acrobat? Are you able to open other PDF files?
Sorry to ask so many questions, but we need a little more detail to get to the bottom of things.
