No.  55GB is the largest you can have (5GB free + 50GB upgrade).

  • What's the most recent Mini I can install Leopard On

I need Classic + Rosetta. What is the most recent Mini I can really put Leopard (OS 5.x)  on? Not that it shipps with, but will actually install and work. Or can copy onto from a clone which will run?
    TIA,
    Bill

    Three options:
    1.  Purchase the Late-2005 Mac Mini (PowerMac10,2).  This was the last PowerPC Mac Mini that can run the Classic Environment in Tiger; so it does not need Rosetta.
    2.  Purchase the Mid-2010 Mac Mini (macmini4,1).  This model comes with Snow Leopard, which is the last version of OS X to allow Rosetta.  Rosetta must be optionally installed. For Word 5.1, see below.
    3.  Purchase the Mid-2011 Mac Mini (Macmini5.1).  This model comes with Lion, but if you follow the work of newfoundglory in this thread, you can downgrade (or dual-partition) this model to Snow Leopard (for Word 5.1, see below):

For the younger folk reading this thread, the OP is among the few remaining purists that loved Microsoft Word 5.1 on the Mac.  A little bit of history:
Until the Mac was developed and released, Microsoft was almost exclusively an Operating System and Programming software company (Multiplan being the first and sole applications software exception at that time).
Steve Jobs recruited Bill Gates and Microsoft to set up a programming team to build applications for the Mac, then in development.  Out of the effort came Word 1.0 (yes, Word was originally written exclusively for the Mac).
This program was ultimately refined until version 5.1.  Then  with the release of version 6, Mac users were horrifed as the program had been "window-fied" and it was never as pure a Mac program since...
Now back to our originally program, already in progress:
You can run Word 5.1 on an Intel Mac in a Classic emulator program known as SheepShaver (and its cousin, Chubby Bunny).  I use SheepShaver to run Classic Word Perfect, among other Classic apps.
Here is a recent post I made about this Classic emulator:
With the newer Intel Macs, you have to run a Classic emulator such as SheepShaver, which requires you to extract the Mac ROMs from your older Classic Mac and then install Mac OS 9.
A related program is Chubby Bunny, which comes bundled with all of that included.

    A 15" mid-2009 MBP RAM specifications are: 204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM.
As has been pointed out, OWC is an excellent source for Mac compatible RAM.  Crucial is another first rate source for Mac RAM.  RAM from either vendor will work just as well as any purchased from Apple with the bonus of being less expensive and having a lifetime guarantee.
    Ciao.

  • What is the most unexpected thing on Best Buy.ca

As our online slection grows, I frequently have people tell me that they didn't realize we carried things that are available on BestBuy.ca.  I have helped people order everything from protein to camping gear to strollers that they hadn't realized we had available.  I wanted to ask, since many of the people here spend time looking through what is out there, what is the most unusual or unexpected thing you have seen available on BestBuy.ca. I think for me it would eithe be the Napier tents for minivans and trucks, or the Salter Crusader inflatable boat.

I have to say it's not as unexpected anymore for me as exciting! Was so happy to see Quest Protein Bars up, if you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out! Also, I recently found we carry advent calendars.. Just Lego so far but fingers crossed for more closer to the Holiday!

  • I have a PC, Windows 7 x64. I installed a plug-in in Elements 13. I tried to installed another plug-in. It replaced the first plug-in . Can't I have more than one plug-in at a time??? If so, how?

I have a PC with Windows 7 x64. I have Elements 13. I installed a plug-in (Topaz) which appeared under the Filter Menu.
Then I tried to install my new Canon Printer software plug-in which put it under FILE > AUTOMATION TOOLS. However, when I tried to use TOPAZ under the FILTER MENU it was gone. In other words, the Canon printer plug-in replaced my Topaz plug-in. When I reinstalled the Topaz plug-in, it replaced the Canon Printer Plug-in.
QUESTION: Can't I have more than one plug-in installed in Photoshop Elements 13 at a time? So that the Canon printer plug-in is in AUTOMATION TOOLS, and the Topaz plug-in is under the FILTER menu?

Have a look at this thread.

  • What is the cheapest Mac Laptop I can buy?

I am looking for the cheapest Apple Laptop.
I don't want like the really old models, I want a newer model, like the Macbook Air.
I don't know how many variations there are but how much is the cheapest macbook, brand new condition.

You can save quite a bit of money by buying a refurbished MacBook Pro or Air from Apple. They come with the full year warranty and you can buy Apple Care for them. http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac

  • Using Liquid, what is the best practice for handling pagination when you have more than 500 items?

Right now I can only get the first 500 items of my webapp, and don't know how to show the rest of the items.

  • What is the most space efficient way to store libraries? Is there a way to separate/extract the original media from a Library?

    version 10.1.4
I start a lot of projects which I cannot finalize and have to go back and change periodically. How do you guys store your Libraries? What is the most space efficient way of doing it?
    Thx

I find that libraries that grow very large can have an impact on FCP X performance. My practice is to use external media (Leave Files in Place) unless I'm working with others. I also transcode as needed after import, rather than optimize (everything) at import. Both practices keep the library size down.
    Good luck.

20mb, but I would suggest leaving a little space. 15 is reliable.

ddmathias, I want to make sure all services are working correctly on your phone. What GPS services were you using before the update happened? What kind of issues are you having with the services? Do you get any kind of errors? Please keep us posted.

  • What is the most RAM I can put in mac book pro 15 inch 2.16(2006)?

What is the most RAM I can put in mac book pro 15 inch 2.16(2006)?

Depends. There were two version of the MBP that shipped in 2006 with different max RAM. The quickest way to see which is yours is to use System Profiler to get your Mac's "Model Identifier."
Do "About this Mac" from the Apple menu and, in the resulting window, click "More Info..." That launches System Profler for you.
The answer is in the first screen of Profiler that comes up--"Hardware Overview." Note the second line in this example:
If the Model Identifier says "MacBookPro1,X" you are limited to 2G RAM. Period.
If the Model Identifier says "MacBookPro2,X" you can install two, 2G modules for an installed total of 4G RAM, but the logic board can only access 3.2G of it. That becomes your "max RAM.
    Hope this helps,
    AJ
