Hi, just wondering what the new iPod shuffle
Is like the black slate one..?

Nothing silly about it if you want it, and if it suits your purposes or uses. Your choice really - the only one you need satisfy or justify the extra purchase to is yourself.
I've had iPhones for years, but I also have my old iPod Nano - lives stuck in the docking slot of my Sony mini-stereo most of the time. On long driving trips I'll take it to plug into the car's AUX port instead of the iPhone as I can leave it plugged in the whole trip, even when I stop and take the iPhone with me.

I had older ipod shuffles and purchased a bunch of songs and just bought the new ipod shuffle because other broke. Looking to get the songs I had on my old one but was under and email I no longer have and don't remember password. How do I access?

I had older ipod shuffle that broke and purchased over two hundred in songs and dont have that email and dont remember password. I just bought the new shuffle and want to see how I can access those songs without having to pay for them again.

The new iPod shuffle is wonderful!

Plugged it in, loaded some songs, and listened away. Excellent sound quality. Couldn't ask for more. This will be a runaway hit this Christmas. I'm already thinking about who all I could give one to for Christmas!!

The new shuffle is GREAT!!!
but...
I plugged it into my MacBook and opened up my iTunes and then songs just started downloading onto it and wouldn't let me select the songs that I wanted on it.
So...
How do I actually put the songs that I want on it?
I listened to the songs that it put on there automatically and it sounds great and it's gets plenty loud.

And why the **** did they stop the firewire cables from working ??? I was very suprised last night....plugged it in at home and it came up on the screen that it doesnt support Firewire anymore....*** ???

My new iPod shuffle is not syncing to my iTunes account.

Had an iPod nano before and just got the new iPod shuffle. I have connected it and there is no button showing up for me to sync the device. I have tried restarting my computer, downloading Itunes again and removing the shuffle and turning it off, waiting 10 secs and turning it on again and connecting it.

Does the shuffle's light come ON at all when connect the shuffle to USB? If there is no light, either blinking or solid, make sure the USB cable's plug is completely inserted into the shuffle's headphones jack, as shown in this document.

Anyone with a new iPod Shuffle that works with Powerbook G4 OSX 10.3.9 ???

I just bought the new iPod Shuffle also and my Mac OSX 10.3.9 operating system is not recognizing the iPod. This is a big issue since they are supposed to be compatible.
I called AppleCare 2 times and spent 1hr+ at the Apple Store Genious Bar. Here's the deal ... basically the new iPod Shuffle is NOT compatible with 10.3.9 ... I would guess you are having the same issue. My iPod Shuffle works fine with Tiger OS. The Genious Bar tested my computer with Tiger OS to make sure it wasn't a hardware issue and the iPod Shuffle worked fine ... but not with 10.3.9. This is definately an operating system compatibility issue.
Let me know if anyone has the same issue or better yet ... if you iPod works with Powerbook G4 OSX 10.3.9.

I too purchased a new Shuffle and could not get it to work with any software on my PowerBook G4 running the latest Panther (10.3.9). (Only the Disk Utility could see the Shuffle.) I also tried it on my PowerMac G5 running the latest Panther Server, and my PowerMac G4 running the latest Tiger. Given that multiple hardware AND OS configurations were failing, I had to conclude that it was some errant software I had installed on all 3 machines. (As an additional indicator, NONE of my machines would play DVDs anymore: inserting a DVD produced the dreaded "You have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OS X can read.")
The culprit turned out to be the kernel extensions installed by my (older) Lexar Secure jump drive. These files are in directory /System/Library/Extensions.
IOLexarEncryptFilter.kext
IOSCSILexarCommandsDevice.kext
LexarFilterScheme.kext
I do not know if it is just one of them or all 3, but I moved all of these files out of the Extensions directory and rebooted. Presto: the DVDs play and the new Shuffle can be seen by iTunes, etc.
Note that I do not necessarily recommend messing about in the the kernel extensions directory. If anyone has a better method for removing these extensions (I couldn't find anything on the Lexar support site), then I would be grateful for your input.

You should backup any purchases as you are not allowed to download them again. After you have one computer failure why did you not backup your data?

I have the new box, but I don't know what the old box looked like so I don't know if it's different. There's nothing that obviously designates it as the new iPod except that I got the 80GB version. But for the 30GB version, I guess you'd have to check the Part Number, which is shown on the bottom of the box.
I got the white version, so the box is black with a white iPod showing on the front. It's about 6 x 6" square and about 1 1/2" thick. iPod pictured on top and bottom - on top with a song playing "Dani California", and on bottom with a movie (Pirates of the Carribbean). Actually the Pirates theme may be a key to the new ones. The thin sides have an iPod in profile, the apple logo on each side, fine print on the botton, and "80GB 20000 songs PC+Mac" on top.

You downloaded iTunes AND installed it, right? What you downloaded is the installer, which installs the iTunes app (and other things like drivers) on your computer. You then have to run the iTunes app.
If you did that already, make sure the USB docking cable's plug is completely inserted into the shuffle's headphones jack, as shown in this document

When connected, the shuffle's light should come ON. That indicates it is getting power. If it blinks orange (at least initially), that indicates it is connecting for data.
If you are good so far, in iTunes, the sidebar (along left side of window) may be hidden. If it is, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar. When the shuffle is connected, it should be listed in the sidebar, below DEVICES. Does it appear there?

You are referring to OFFICE 2010, not Windows XP or 7.
And which version of Windows do you have?
NEVER begin before you have a backup, ideally one you have tested and know works.
You don't really install Boot Camp, the Assistant is a partition tool utility.
You may just want Office 2008 for Mac.
If you need Office for Windows, perhaps run Windows in a VM like Parallels or Fusion.
Buy some backup drives and start using TimeMachine for one backup, then weekly backup with SuperDuper.
IF there is now a partition for Windows, all you need is to buy Windows, and I would recommend Windows 7 Home Premium (retail) which is about US$149.
Has nothing to do with free space. Office 2010 isn't to boot from. In fact, you can copy the disc to a folder (1.25GB) and run SETUP from there.
