  • User-Defined Planning Layouts  - Translations

    Hi Experts,
Custom Planning layouts have been created.
I need to translate the form from English to Danish.
This has to be done in the Development system then moved to Quality and Production.
This is how I proceeded with the task:
IMG Path: Project System  Costs  Planned Costs  Manual Cost Planning in WBS  Detailed Planning  Create User-Defined Planning Layouts for Detailed Planning.
Select Change PS Planning Cost Element/Activity Input Layouts.
Select Layout ZMY_LAYOUT  Planning Layout  Translate Form.
Specify Source Lanaguage : EN, Target Language: DA --> Clcik on Translate Button.
There is a prompt for including the request in a Transport Request. If clicked yes it asks for a workbench Request.
I specified the workbench request number.
    Select Form --> Object List
Select the line with form name, Source Text --> Click on Translate.
Enter the translation -> Save and exit
However, when I check my request in SE10, it has no objects???
If I repeat the process, and select Transport form, it asks me for a customizing Request.
How can I move  my transations from D to Q.
    Regards,
    Reema Shahbazkar.

    Hi,
No it is NOT a unicode system.

  • HowTo: Business User defining Planning Functions?

    Hi all,
does anybody have experience with allowing Business users Defining Planning Functions (e.g. account A = account B - account C) and could share a rough concept? I basically think about Fox-Formulas, but this includes issues with authorization in productive system.
Are there any solutions with translating free-text-Formulas (e.g. defined in an Attribut or flatfile, see scenario below) into ABAP or FOX Code?
Thanks for sharing your ideas and experiences,
    Best regards,
    Michael
    Our scenario:
    - Business users are responsible (and authorized) for specific local Companies.
    - Values of the Chart of accounts are typed in into a input-ready query.
    - for Dummy accounts (e.g. Z01) of the local companies no planning is allowed in the plan version, but business users should be allowed to define a specific formula, such as:
    =  + *
    - these functions run at the end of the planning process in a separate planning version for translating local data into global accounts
    - At best these functions should be maintained as an attribut of the dummy accounts or as free text in a text field next to the account in the plan query, but how to translate the formula into a Fox or ABAP formula without great effort?
    - When using FOX, the issue is, that it is a different GUI and there would have to be a function for each company (there will come new companies) and so on....

    Hi Matthias,
thanks for the post. The problem isnt of keying in the formula isn't that big, this can for example be done in an attribute Char 60 with Flatfile upload for each planning process.
    My problem is more
    a) if I use FOX Formulas - the usage of fox formulas in productive system for Business User
I still think that using FOX formulas is the easiest thing to implement, but probably the hardest to run and maintain life. Are there any best practises / how tos about authorization and IP architecture for that?
    b) if I use formulas as Text - the formula parsing itself and the communication with the planning function
Here you gave me the hint of using customer defined planning functions. That's probably the best thing. I first thought about about a formula parser that is called by fox. Still, parsing free text into structured formulas isn't easy, is it? Are there any how-tows?
    best regards,
    Michael

  • Create User-Defined Planning Layouts for Detailed Planning

    Dear All
I would like to change layout of Tcode CJR2.
I must copy planning layout "1-702" because I would like see:
    sender cost center definition
    sender activity type definition
    alloc. cost definition.
    what do I do?
    Thanks
    salvo50

    Eli
I know what is already there. I would like to change layout of Tcode CJR2. I must add 3 following columns (display only) to those already there:
    1. sender Cost Center Description LTEXT (new column - display only)
    2. sender Activity Type Description LTEXT (new column - display only)
    3. sender Cost Element Description LTEXT (new column - display only)
    So my layout will appear:
    sender Cost Center KOSTL
sender Cost Center Description LTEXT (new column - display only)
    sender Activity Type LSTAR
sender Activity Type Description LTEXT (new column - display only)
    total quantity MEG
    sender Cost Element KSTAR
sender Cost Element Description LTEXT (new column - display only)
    Is it possible ?
    thanks

  • User Defined Attributes in Tree List

Does anyone know what the User Defined Attributes is used for in the tree list (when in Create / Edit List Entry screen)?
I'm trying to put a title tag on my list entries so I get a tooltip when hovering the mouse over each entry and thought this might be the way to do it.
If not then User Defined Attributes sounds like it could be useful anyway but I can't find any documentation on what it does.

    Hello Antilles.
The user defined attributes that you refer to it´s used to specify additional attributes.
You can find more useful information about this topic in this link: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14373_01/appdev.32/e11838/nav.htm

  • About User defined Functions

    Hi,
Do anyone know what are user defined functions .. and what's the procedure to create a user defined function in sql or pl/sql ??
    Regards

Is this Seshu or someone else asking with his login? The reason for this is earlier there was a post from some Param Reddy from Kurnool asking with his login.
If it is Seshu himself, I've seen you using the word 'function' a couple of time earlier.
    Re: Comma separation
    and
    Re: Data Hiding
If you go and see in SQL Reference, you find two types of functions. SQL built-in and User-defined.

    Hi ,
Can any one explain what these user define function will do , since this is mapped in message mapping.
I am writing the code which is written in it.I dont understand what it means and how it will give result.
    Please explain..

    Hi,
First func makes some actions which are semantically hardly described just by code. Provide with xml sample and use case.
Regarding 2nd func: basically it gets from memory value that is named as a value of first parameter. try to find another func like "setCounter" and post its code here. for more info refer http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/75/8e0f8f3b0c2e4ea5f8d8f9faa9461a/frameset.htm - GlobalContainer Object.

  • ORA-22979: cannot INSERT object view REF or user-defined REF

I'm getting this error when trying to insert a parent_type object into an object table. The parent object contains a nested table of parent object references.
CREATE TYPE cl_ArgList AS TABLE OF REF cl_Expression
CREATE TYPE cl_Expression AS OBJECT (
    args cl_ArgList;
Somehow the system-generated parent object REF that is returned from one STATIC function (using MAKE_REF) turns into a incompatible REF by the time it is passed to aother STATIC function and used in the constructor of the nested table for a new args instance.
Does anybody know how this might be happening?
Is there any way to test if a REF is a valid system-generated REF vs. a user-defined REF?
I don't even know what a user-defined REF is, how I might be getting one, and what's wrong with it anyway. Shouldn't strong-typing ensure that the REF is okay if it is of the appropriate type?
    Glenn.

    Okay, solved that.
FYI the problem is that the nested table arguments (REF cl_Expression) have to be SCOPED REFs, ie. constrained to refer only to objects in a particular table (although I don't really understand why).
Then of course the trick is how to constrain the arguments in the nested table, because you can't do it in the CREATE TYPE statement. You also can't do it when you create the containing table, when you define how the nested table is stored:
    CREATE TABLE <containing table> OF cl_Expression (
NESTED TABLE args STORE AS t_args
Instead you have to modify the nested table properties after it has been created:
    ALTER TABLE t_args ADD (SCOPE FOR (column_value) IS t_Induhvidual);
'column_value' is the actual syntax, not your own column name.
But you probably knew that ;-)

  • User defined classes

    Hi,
I need to create a project which requires the application to have user defined classes. I am thinking of creating a Timer class which is imported into the main application and shown on the screen. Is this what a user defined class is, by importing another made class into the main class of the application?
    Thanks for your help.

There are two basic types of classes in Java, ones written by someone else, and ones written by you.
The ones you write may use the ones other people write (like the classes that come with the SDK) or may use the other ones you write, or even better, both.
In Java there is no concept of a "main application". But there is a static method in a class your write that you call "main" and is special because it's the method that gets called by the java runtime when you tell it to load your class. i.e., it's the starting point of your application. In fact, you can have many classes in your collection of classes that make up an application with a main method and you can have java start with any one of these classes.
    Hope this helps.

  • Maximum number of User defined dimensions in Planning v11.1.2

    Hi guys,
I am new to Hyperion Planning version 11.1.2, just wanted to clarify what is the maximum number of User defined dimensions that can be added in a planning application.
I've also learnt that the number of Alias tables is more than the previous versions. What is the maximum number of Alias tables in Planning version 11.1.2 ?
    Regards.

Maximum number of alias tables is 10 including the default alias table
As for custom dimensions then I wouldn't expect you to hit a maximum unless you want to design a planning application destined to fail.
    Cheers

  • User defined dimensions in planning

hi all can any one tell me where are the user defined dimensions in planning are stored in the backend realtional tables ? I am learning about the worlkflow of the backend tables and how will they react to any changes that are made in the front end. I got the tables where pre defined dimensions are stored but i created a dimension called "CUSTOM" and checked it in the HSP_OBLECT, HSP_DIMENSION tables but did not find it. Can any one tell me whats actually going on in the backend ??
    thanks in advance,
    Ranjith Kumar. P

You can find the dimension name in HPS_Object under Object_Name column and for the dimension Id you can check HSP_Dimension.
    Something like:
    Select Object_Name from HSP_OBJECT WHERE (Object_ID in (Select Dim_ID from HSP_Dimension))
and just for finding the object_id of dimension name "Custom":
Select * from HSP_OBJECT where Object_Name like 'Custom'

  • Journal Problem with Replicating another dimension on User Defined

    Hi experts,
A curious thing is happing on development, I follow the HTG "SAP Business Planning and Consolidation for NetWeaver - Journals.pdf"; and this generate fine the journal, but when I was testing, doing a simple journal entry, a trouble occurred, the template has the structure below:
    Header:
    Category
    Time
    Group
    Row:
    DataSrc
    Entity
    Account
    Intco
    Flow - SubTable
    CLucro - User Defined
    CCusto - User Defined
So when I fill all the information to every dimension and put the amount, I save, and don't get any error message, but on CLucro and CCusto appears the value of flow, and if I consult the Infocube on listcube I get this dimensions in blank.
Fonte Empresa Conta        TipMov CLucro CCusto IntCo Remark Debit     Credit

  • Need help: unable to change user defined dimension

    Hi,
I have a problem with BPC. I installed BPC Server and BPC Client NW7.5 SP9. I can duplicate, create and modify all standard dimensions (Account, Category, Entity, Time) in my own application as also in appshell.
I can duplicate or create a user defined dimension, but I cannot modify that user defined dimension. I change the elements, then I process my changes. But after I have refreshed the dimension all changes are reverted.
I looked in UJFS and can see that .xls and .xlt are uploaded on NW correctly. Even on my local machine it is changed, but BPC does not recognize that.
Has anyone an idea what to do? I need not only the standard dimensions but also user defined dimensions.
    Regards

We've got this problem on non-unicode system on SP08, as Frank. Corrected with SP09.
Maybe you have to check if all components patched well (NW, .Net and client):
    - In NW Go to System-Status-Component Information. CPMBPC must have level 0009.
    - On .Net Server check Server Version in Planning and Consolidation Server utility (.09)
    - In client for Excel check ETools-About Planning and Consolidation (7.50.09).
If that's correct, first check, if new records occur in BW object for your dimension (in rsa1). Or maybe that info-object somehow become inactive.
And did you mark checkbox "Process members from member shett" during processing the dimension?
