It really doesn't matter. ANY earphones work with your iPhone. If you realy want to buy Apple, buy whatever they are currently selling. Earphones are technically standard across the world.

What am I doing wrong with iPhone 5 iTunes Podcast sync?

I feel like I'm in a math equation messing up the order of operations every time I sync my device to my iTunes. If I ever catch up on all my podcasts, maybe this will stop being an issue, but here's the problem.
90% of my podcast listening occurs on my iPhone 5. I have it set up to auto download. I also have an iPad that I will ocassionally listen to podcasts on that. For the most part, I think these sync via the cloud, but with some issues for sure. I'll often close and re-open the Podcast app to see if that gets them to keep talking to each other.
Ok, but the real problem: I have all my podcasts in iTunes, and whenever I sync my iPhone to iTunes, some podcasts get loaded back onto my iPhone that I've already listened to.

You're welcome. It's not unusual to have a different number of photos and videos on your devices. Videos aren't synced with photo stream so unless you import them to your computer and sync them to your other device they will only be on the device they are taken on. (Also, if you sync them to your device, they will appear in the Videos app rather than the Photos app.)
Having a different number of photos usually results from having turned on my photo stream at different points in time on your devices. My photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, even though your last 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted. As a result, when you first enable my photo stream on a device it can only download photos from the last 30 days, even though there may be old photos on your other device(s).
If you want to use iCloud to get the missing photos on your device, you can add them to a shared stream on the device they are on (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm1bdd9cae49). (You don't have to invite yourself to the shared stream, just skip this step. As the owner of the shared stream you are automatically subscribed to it.) The new shared stream will appear on your devices in the shared section of the photos app. You can then open the shared stream and save the photos to the device that didn't already have them by tapping Select, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow, then tapping Save Image). Once they are saved, you can delete the shared stream.

You need to purchase the Apple Component AV Cable or the Apple Composite AV Cable. 3rd party cables won't work with the iPhone - there's an encryption chip in the the Apple cables that is required.

Need help with iphone battery charging please

hey all,
i have a problem with charging iphone battery,
i´ve had the phone for 8months now with no problems at all,
yesterday i used it as a modem for connecting to the internet and it worked just fine but the battery died so quick and now it wont charge at all
i used both charge connector and USB drive in the computer - nothing works, i already tried resseting it several times - didnt work either, i also tried plugging in a different cable - thta didnt help either so its basically turned into a brick, i noticed tho when i try to restart it there´s a couple wierd lines on my display but then it doesnt turn on or anything, it goes back to a black screen with battery picture and one red line indicating i need to charge it...
i tried to charge it overnight but the red line on the battery pic doesnt move or anything, there´s no sign of it charging at all and it doesnt even want to sync with the computer, i dont know what else to try
please help someone

If you are in a country where Apple provides direct support and has an Apple store, you can contact Apple or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.
If you live an a country where Apple doesn't provide direct support - support for the iPhone is handled by the official carrier for the iPhone, contact your carrier.

Very unhappy with iPhone 5. Please help.

I really hope someone can help me because I am very upset with my new iPhone 5. I had an iPhone 4 for quite a while and it worked great, no issues, ever. I got my iPhone 5 yesterday and have wanted to throw it out a window ever since.
It was fine until I tried to sync it to iTunes (yesterday evening).
I had to download the latest version of iTunes, so I went ahead and did that yesterday before syncing. I also downloaded the latest iPhone software update so it should be all up to date.
The last time I synced my iPhone 4 (yesterday morning), I had no problems. No photos were loaded on it and only a handful of apps I use every day (My Fitness Pal, Pedometer Pro + GPS, Facebook and Pixlr-o-matic) and a handful of songs that I purchased from the phone. This has been how every sync I’ve done with the 4 has been for months. That last sync with the 4 worked fine, no issues.
Got the new phone and the guy at the AT&T store activated it and downloaded the latest software update etc. for me. Said it was good to go. It looked okay, all my contacts were there etc. Obviously none of my apps were there but I just went to the app store and my purchased section and grabbed these 4 apps in particular.
I thought it was really cool that all the photos in my photo stream on my iPad were there too. I found this feature to be great.
Got it home and synced to my computer and ran into the following issues (and I don't know why this computer auto-formatted this so they all say 1 and I'm too aggravated right now to manually fix it ):
Text messages I received and sent in 2011 showing up in my messages section. Why??
Even though the last time I synced my iPhone 4 I had no photos, this sync suddenly wanted to sync 6000+ photos to my phone. I unchecked all the folders in iTunes--- but before it would let me do that, it made me sync all of these photos first. I then had to sync it again to get rid of them all. Currently, there are no photos on the phone which is good HOWEVER, it also got rid of the Photo Stream that had been there which I wanted there. I did not check or uncheck anything for that, it just disappeared. Why?
Apps I haven’t used in a year synced to the phone despite not being checked off. I had to manually delete them from the phone. I really only use 4 apps regularly and these have been the only 4 apps on my old phone for months. Why did the sync revert back to stuff I haven’t had on my phone for like a year?
Pedometer Pro + GPS… all my data (3 months worth) is gone. It took 3 tries to get it to sync the app itself but I had to start it over from scratch. This could be an app issue but I can’t find any support anywhere for it to find out. I’ve never had this issue with my old phone, despite syncing to iTunes frequently. The data always synced.
Pixlr-o-matic…again, this could be an app issue but all my in-app purchases (a lot of $$ worth) are gone and it expects me to buy them again. Never lost them during software updates or syncs on the old phone. I found support for this app and no one seems to be able to answer the question.
It also randomly selected a background photo to use that I haven’t had on my old phone for like a year.
My wifi at home no longer works. Even when I enter my password. It worked when I first got the phone home and went in and put the password in for my wifi network at home. But as soon as I synced it, the wifi stopped working and now it won’t even take the password.
Same thing with my email. They set it up for me in the store and it worked but now, after the sync, it doesn’t.
I’m frustrated and baffled (and missing my old phone). I don’t even know if I’m describing this correctly. I’ve spent the entire night searching for answers and can’t find any. At this point, I think I might just return the 5 and have them reactivate the 4. Unfortunately, this phone was a gift and I cannot feasibly get to the store where my dad and I picked it up yesterday for at least two weeks as my dad (and the store) are about 2 hours away.
Before I make the 2 hour trip to return it, is there ANYTHING I can do to fix these problems?

Importing Flex project into Flash CS5 for use with iPhone packager? Please Help.

I have been developing an application in Flex builder for the iPhone using the iPhone packager, where I've been using the Flex framework.
Now I'm stuck at trying to use my existing libraries in Flash. It seems I can't add the UI components I used in Flex (class VideoExample) to the default Flash container. I need someone's help who has experience with that.
I have created a .SWC file, but when I'm trying to add the container in Flash using addChild(new VideoExample) it doesn't work. I can't load the .SWF externally using loader.load() at runtime, because the application is for iPhone. Any solutions how could I import the project to Flash?
I was thinking about changing the UI components classes from mx.* to fl.*, but I would have to change many code and I'm not sure if it would even work, and I don't want to loose compatibility with mxml.
Please respond, help would be very much appreciated!

Help with iPhone 4 order please!

So I was having trouble getting through the apple servers to pre-order an iphone this afternoon. After a 30 minute call, an operator told me that the phones didnt ship until July 2nd. I said I'll just try online because I'm leaving the country on June 30th. Anyways, I was fortunate enough to get through and purchase a 32g around 7 pm pst. BUT, when the order went through, it said it was going to ship on July 2nd and deliver from July 6-8.
I've been hearing rumors that the phone will arrive before July even if it says otherwise. So I'm just wondering if I should stick with my order or cancel it and try and get the phone at the store. Getting the phone in the mail anytime in July wouldn't be an option as I'm going to be out of the country and nobody will be at home.

I wouldn't count on it coming earlier than July, fact is, Apple is sold out of pre-orders for delivery on 6/24. There may be a limited number at stores, but you can count on long lines/wait times. You might have better luck at a WalMart, they are an authorized reseller, but no one thinks of them when purchasing an iphone.

What to clean an ipod with....please post

My brother and sister both have the new video ipod and i jsut recently recieved one. Both my brother and sister's screens have terrible markings. They dont look like scratches, just smudges or something. I've tried wiping it off, but these "smudges" don't come off. Is there any household product that i can use to clean off teh screen? I'm trying to do this because i just bought a protective covering, so I am trying to clean the screen before i put the cover on.

Can AIR interact with iPhone Calendar?

Hi, I work on flash platform and am developing an app for iPhone. In one of the module, there is a date field, so users can create an event using the date field. The module requirement is such that once a user selects a date, the date will be added to iPhone Calendar. Is there any API to interact with iPhone Calendar?

Apparently with iOS 5 you can open an .ics file with Safari. That could give you the potential to write a calendar file and then open it with a StageWebView. I haven't tried it, but the hard part will be creating the .ics file. You could start by making a couple of test cases, and then see what the differences are.

HT1766 I replaced an iPhone4 with 5 and restored it, lost recent texts and other info

I replaced an iPhone4 with iPhone 5. The 4 hadnt been backed up to laptop in about 4 months. I plugged my new 5 into my laptop, iTunes came up and I chose to restore it (instead of setting up as new phone, which I thought would cause me to lose all my info). I guess this was the wrong choice since it looks like all recent info is gone. Is there any way to get back the past 4 months worth of texts/info that is now gone?

Do you still have your iPhone 4, and, if so, does it still have your current info?
If so, you can back it up, then clear your iPhone 5 by doing Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings
Then you would be shown the iPhone (5) Setup Assistant, which would again allow you to restore from a backup. This time, the backup would be more current.
