What's new in iTunes 9.0.3

in the what new list for itunes 9.0.3 it says
"Sync with iPod nano (5th generation), iPod classic (Fall 2009), and iPod touch (Fall 2009)"
what does this mean ?

ive 4 ipods 2 classics a touch and now nano
my first 80g classic worked sometimes in 9.03 ,worked before 9.03 and when not plugged in is fine ,
2nd 80g classic not showing in itunes or windows xp in 9.02 ,again as above all fine when not plugged in .
touch 16g not showing up at all
nano 5th gen not showing up
But on 3 other computers all running 9.03 xp and vista all pods work fine no problems .my main computer the one with music on has the problem all was fine before i updated,and when ipod classic conects its still fine.

1 re-installed xp sp3
2 reinstalled itunes 9.03
3 5 r's
*4 reistalled itunes 8.0.2 still nothing,after uninstalling*this made my other ipod connect but still other 3 ipods nothing

Just installed and had a quick look, nothing obviously different. However it seemd that updating iPod was faster (with 6.0.2 it seemed to pause while copying songs and take longer), also my 5G 30GB iPod moved past "do not disconnect" considerably faster after clicking Eject iPod.
Using version 1.1 of the iPod software and have been since it was released so the improvement seems to be brought about by 6.0.3.5

What's New in iTunes U not updating reliably

Has anyone else seen this?
On our iTunes U site, items in the ‘What’s new’ section do not appear in release date order, eg if you look at http://itunes.apple.com/gb/institution/university-of-nottingham/id396415869
you will find that the 'Sacred Calendars' album appears before the ‘Pathology Minu Tutorials' album under ‘What’s new’ although the latter was updated after the former.

What's new with iTunes 6.0.2?

Usually the website says what the new features are, but not this time.

Still using Version 6.0.1. Seems to work good. Any reason I should upgrade to 6.0.2 or wait up for a while??
For Videos, I use Nero Recode to convert mp4, seems to work great, no loss of quality or sound.

So what's new in iTunes 10?

Besides the obvious... it would be nice if Apple made a complete list of changes to the program available. I can't even count the number of times I'd be doing something in iTunes only to discover a new option/tab/etc... that probably existed 5 updates ago.
I am marking this for a question for the sake of someone maybe telling me some new things, but feel free to discuss what you think of the new version thus far, because that is kind of what I'm going for here...
I have a long list of minor complaints about itunes, but the only relevant complaint I have with itunes 10 is the new color scheme, eg: there isn't one.

I'm aware of that page, but there is often hundreds of other additions that are never mentioned there, or anywhere on the site at all... for example, all the smart playlists additions in (not so) recent versions were never mentioned there, nor (I think) were the addition of skip counts. There's all kinds of things apple adds into to itunes with every release - which I do appreciate... I'm just saying...
Imagine if your wife/mom/whatever called your cable company and added channels to your cable package (and paid for them herself), but never told you about it... Sure it was nice of her, but you won't ever notice, until two months later when you are flipping through channels, and you leave it on Showtime long enough to notice there's actually a picture there....

It looks like the CD/DVD handling has been changed up a lot. CD driver is up to version 2.0.7.3 and CD driver DLL is up to version 2.1.1.1. (I think they were previously at 2.0.6.x each, before.)
Fingers crossed, that might mean there's also been some progress with this beast:

Not sure if there's a new version of AMDS in there (I haven't been keeping track of the version numbers for that) ... but after the 7.6.2 update, I've got an AMDS 1.1.4.7 on the PC.

I am currently using iTunes 7.0.2.16 (on XP). Other than Vista fixes, does anyone know if there are any other improvements in iTunes 7.1? Any reason to upgrade?

HT1719 I have music on my Shuffle and want to transfer it onto iTunes but when I go to Sync it, it warns me that all the music on my Shuffle will be deleted and replaced with what's on my iTunes. I have a new mac-mini and my old computer was an HP.

The article below should resolve any device not being recognized in iTunes issue that you are experiencing. The most common issues are the Apple Mobile Device Support driver or iTunes is outdated. Start with the first step and test the results after each step processed.

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have iOS devices and haven't moved your contacts and calendar items across then you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then seeRecover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

If the old laptop was a mac also, then use your Time Machine backup to restore you user settings and files.

Basically you will have to transfer its contents to the new computer and then restore the iPod and then resync. An iPod can only sync to one iTunes library.
