What's the Oracle Standard for generating Output & logfile for Conc Prog?

Is there any Oracle Standard for generating output and log files for standard concurrent programs and reports.
for example: if Error, only Log no output
if Warning, Log & output
Complete Normal, Log & output

I plan to install and configure Oracle 12c Cloud Control console on a single standalone server and the version is Oracle 12.1.0.5. All the databases which are installed across in the entire farm/landscape are these versions:

When installing the Oracle 12c Cloud Control what is the Oracle and Grid Home directory location need to set to. Please let me know if there are any other additional configurations needed?

First off, the only EM CC release out right now is 12.1.0.2, not sure where you got 12.1.0.5 (DB Plugin maybe?).
Second, you're confusing EM CC homes with DB/Grid homes.
EM CC will need it's own Oracle Home (i.e. /opt/oracle/product/em_12.1.0.2). You will need to provide repository database connection information, but EM does not care what home the db or grid is installed in.

Can you elaborate on what exactly configured and how and why? I fail to understand what exactly you did because in my company, we used the standard (up until now);that means UWL configuration file "com.sap.pct.erp.mss.tra".

There are many concepts for Grid computing,
but isn't still standardized form for it.
So many vendors are imprementing their own Grid system.

I'm very skeptical about what Oracle calls grid computing. Few years ago I wrote a paper entitled "Is Oracle Database Moving Toward Grid Computing?" (http://www.trivadis.com/Images/grid_computing_en_tcm17-11759.pdf) handling that topic. Honestly, even two releases later (10.2 and 11.1) things has not really changed.

The whole format thing has been introduced in 1.5. The tutorial also states it's been "updated to 1.5.".
That's all I've got to say for I don't know how you can format a PrintWriter, let alone a PrintStream, prior to 1.5. I'm not really sure there is any way. Any "legacy way", that is. There almost certainly are third-party API which achieve similar results.

In the process of converting a Microsoft Access database to Oracle, an Access query is using the FIRST function.
What is the Oracle equivalent of the Microsoft Access FIRST function?
In the attempt to convert, the Oracle FIRST_VALUE function was used. However, the same results was not achieved.

A slight correction to odie's post. I think you want min not max to replicate the Access first function, but see below to be sure. So:

What is the Oracle Recommended order of patching on Exadata?

We are about to patch our Exadata machine with Bundle Patch 22. It is running ORacle 11gR2 (11.2.0.3.0). I have seen differening opinions of the ORDER by which to patch it in both Oacle presnetations as well as white papers, but cannot find the answer in straight-up Oracle documantation. Namely, the questioned order is:
1.) Infiniband Switches
2.) Storage Server
3.) DB
     - Grid Infrastructure Home
     - Oracle DB Home
VERSUS
1.) DB
     - Grid Infrastructure Home
     - Oracle DB Home
2.) Storage Server
3.) Infiniband Switches

MOS affirmed that the order of patching is: 1.) Infiniband 2.) storage server, and 3.) GI/DB. Yes, the patch we are using is BP 22 and contains 17747147 for GI/DB, but the entire BP contains all 3 components. Having read through MOS notes 888828.1 as well as 1553103.1, I actually have 2 other questions - one relates to the use of (or not) dbnodeupdate.sh and the other is overall semantics. I posted to MOS, but have gotten no reply thus far. Here they are:
1.) dbnodeupdate.sh is called out in 888828.1 in a very few places. My understanding is that it is only used for UPGRADES - not patches (BP or otherwise). Do you agree? MOS 1553103.1 is written about dbnodeupdae, but seems to imply it automates upgrades - but is not required. Not sure.
2.) What is the difference between a Quarterly DB Patch for Exadata (QDPE) and a Quarterly Full Stack DB Patch (QFSDP)?   I beleive I understand what they each contain, but it seems a QDPE is a subset WITHIN a QFSDP, but the documentation does nor differentiate. I am not sure as to when I would download/use one versus the other.

Hi Mazdauk, To convert ASF to AVI, I recommend you the iorgsoft video converter which I have been using. It claims to support ASF as input and AVI as output. Anyway, I haven't converted ASF to AVI, most of the time, I convert MTS to MP4. You can have a try first.

The problem is I can only update the software on one of the three iPhones – the primary phone I used to setup the iTunes acct. What is the best solution to manage these devices for software updates, apps? This is probably a common problem with families wanting to share apps and music without realizing the issues created by this approach. As it stands today... the first (primary) iPhone associated with the iTune acct has been updated with the latest software version 5.1.1 and sync'd up with all the apps, music, etc from the one iTune acct, while the other two iPhones are still running on the original software version 4.0.2 and are experiencing problems now. I was advised by AT&T back in January that it would be necessary to setup separate iTunes accts for the second and third iPhones in order to receive system updates. The problem would be how to keep all the apps, etc from being deleted off the second and third phones that were originally loaded from the one iTunes acct. Since this AT&T advice was prior to iCloud coming out, would iCloud be a better solution or at least part of the solution? I really don't yet understand how iCloud works.
