What services can be monitored?

What services can be monitored? Can monitored services be broken down by categories? If so is there a list of service categories somewhere? Or does System Center
monitor all services at the same time?

Hi,
I found a relevant blog for your reference.

  • What Services Can You Disable Safely?

I know OS X handles memory more efficiently than Windows, but I'd still like to disable or delay start of some services to improve boot time or performance in general.
Is there a list anywhere of what services/startup items it is safe to disable?
    Thanks!

Not what I mean. I mean like what you can disable in Startupizer...

Like the non-application stuff you see in Activity Monitor.
    Thanks!

  • What can be monitored using Alert rule via Runtime workbench? Help!

    Hi Experts,
In the alert configuration in XI runtime workbench, there is something called Alert Rule. Under Alert Rule there are options where we can give sender/receiver interfaces, channel, etc.
What exactly we can monitor using this option?
If my receiver is another SAP R/3 system then using this can I send alert when the SAP R/3 is down?
Similary if my sender is also SAP R/3 then can I monitor if this system is down?
What more can we monitor with this?
    Kindly help!
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hi,
Alert rule is not at all used for monitoring directly. it can act as a filter for your alert category. so first you must have created an alert category.
you can specify the sender/receiver party, service, interface and namespace in a alert rule after choosing a alert category.
you can also specify where you are expecting an error like integration engine or adapter engine
if you define an alert category with an alert rule, no restrictions then you will get all alerts for all sort of errors from all of your interfaces.
so by specifying an alert rule you are restricting an alert category that you created to a particular sender service or namespce etc..
to get step by step idea of how to create alerts see the below blogs

  • RE: How to monitor who has what service objectconnection?

We ran into this problem, specifically because we are using a dbsession
connection pattern and the dba's did not like loosing control over
connections. We have 8 subsystem, each with a dedicated connection that
is shared across multiple users. We also have a security pattern in
place that is token based. Since we have to pass a security token
through service objects we can track this information using a
"connection array" on the service object and a system agent to poll the
contents of the array. When a sql statement is invoked on a
persistence object we add the user to the array on the persistence
manager (SO). When the sql is complete we remove the user from the
array. Since the PO has a system agent we can ask the system agent at
anytime, who has an open connection/session with the PO. Since system
agents plug into econsole, the dba can go look any time.

Here at Eli Lilly & Co., we have a customer that would like to know if
    anyone out there has successfully
devised a method to be able to tell what user has what service object
    connection. Basically, if a customer
calls the system administrator with a problem with the application, the
    system administrator would like to
be able to kill certain processes. Right now, the database connections
running on the server all look the same.
Some ideas were generated internally, one referring to setting up agents
but we'd like to see if anyone
has had success in doing this already that we could use as a contact.

    Hello Peggy,
I suggest that you make contact with Paolo Sidoli at DS Data (Italy). They
have written a very nice package called DORE that includes trouble shooting
utilities, that allow you to monitor what a remote user is doing (you can
    actually see their screen!).
You can contact Paolo at [email protected]

  • Can I Monitor Xamp(apache) hosted web service(OpenEMR) using scom 2012 sp1

i have installed OpenEMR using xamp(apache, mysql) and now i want to monitor what are the various that has been done by the OpenEMR webisite on my local machine, can any one just help to finding out these things.

    Hi,
Based on my research, this software can be installed as service or not as service, if it is installed as service, then we can use SCOM to monitor the service status. And if it is not installed as service, to monitor it, we may need to analysis logs written
    by this software.
And if you want to know what this software did to your computer, I think this should be known by the software vendors, you may need to post thread there. And what I can tell is that we can monitor the computer healthy therefore to know whether something
is wrong with the computer, and then analysis the issue to know whether it is caused by the software.

How, EXACTLY, did you get it "unlocked"? ONLY the carrier it's locked to can authorize unlocking it. Anything else is a hack.
You can not get help here for a hacked phone.

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains helpful advice concerning parental controls:

You can enable Restrictions, also known as parental controls, on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Restrictions stop you from using specific features and applications. Learn more about the types of Restrictions and how to enable or disable them on your device.

I finally found the knowledge base article on here to find the exact version of a deski client
    KBase Article ID:68351
    Resolution
You can check the correct version number in two different places:
    Central Configuration Manager
Desktop Intelligence Report Server (Start > All programs > Business Objects XI Release 2 > BusinessObjects Enterprise > Central Configuration Manager).
    EXE Version Tab
    1. Browse to the drive where you installed Desktop Intelligence. For example:
    \Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\win32_86
    2. Right-click the busobj.exe file, click Properties then click the Version tab.

The following list shows what the version numbers should be depending on which patch combination you have:
    BO XIR2 RTM
    11.5.0.313
    BO XIR2 + SP1
    11.5.3.417
    BO XIR2 + SP1 + MHF1
    11.5.7.608
    BO XIR2 + SP1 + MHF1 + CHF16
    11.5.7.811
    BO XIR2 + SP1 + MHF1 + CHF20
    11.5.7.1048

Look in the "patches" folder under "<Program Files>\Business Objects\Crystal Reports 11". It will give you a folder listing for each service pack, monthly hotfix, and critical hotfix you have installed. If you are using Crystal Reports XI R2 you will want to look in your Add/Remove Programs instead.

  • What non cisco devices can be monitored by MARS

We are in the process or purchasing the MARS 110R and was wondering what other non cisco devices on our network can be monitored by MARS for intance our exchange servers.

You can monitor the security event logs (as well as most other windows event logs) using MARS. I'm not sure it understands Exchange specific event logs, but it should be able to parse the normal authentications that take place in an Exchange environment (and are logged to the security event log). Here is the list:

When I try downloading itunes it stops with a message that says the mobile service can not start because I may not have enough privileges. What do I need to reset?

    Hello, bradhannan.
This sounds like a possible permissions issue.  Try these steps.  Uninstall iTunes and all of it's components.  Next, download the newest version of iTunes and save it to your desktop rather than selecting run.  Right click on the installer package and run as administrator.  I have included a couple articles that covers how to uninstall iTunes and all of it's components.

  • What router can I buy to be compatible with my ATT Uverse service?

What router can I buy to be compatible with my ATT Uverse service?I would like a fairly fast moderately priced one. My current router does not work and I prefer to own the router than rent from them.

You may purchase any router you desire, preferably a dual band, and place behind the Uverse RG in either DMZ mode for pace/2 wire products or IP Pass through for Arris/Motorola products. However you must have a Uverse RG for actual connection due to certificate authorized service.Resulting in the need for the company owned/maintained equipment fee, currently $7 per month, for new installations and repairs of existing accounts requiring the RG replacement.
