Hi mitbmistry,
Apparently it is not possible to turn or log off Whatsapp. Here is what they say about this in their FAQ:
In short, you cannot disconnect or turn off WhatsApp at this time.
The Nokia version of our application is designed to always be connected so that you receive your messages quickly, even when you are not actively using your phone. This is similar to how SMS works and allows WhatsApp messages to be delivered almost instantly.
Please check their FAQ for more info.
Also, check the following guidelines to increase your phone battery life time:
Turn Bluetooth off when you do not need it.
Specify that your Nokia phone does not scan, or scans less often, for available Wireless LAN (WLAN) networks in the backround when you do not need WLAN connections (to turn off scanning, disable Show WLAN availability in Wireless LAN settings).
If you have set Packet data connection to When available in connection settings, and there is no packet data coverage (GPRS), your Nokia phone periodically tries to establish a packet data connection. To prolong the operating time of your Nokia phone, select Packet data connection > When needed.
The Maps application downloads new map information when you scroll to new areas on the map, which increases the demand on battery power. Prevent the automatic download of new maps.
If the signal strength of the cellular network varies much in your area, your Nokia phone must scan for the available network repeatedly. This increases the demand on battery power. If the Network mode is set to dual mode in the network settings, the Nokia phone searches for the UMTS network. To use only the GSM network, select Network mode > GSM.
The backlight of the display increases the demand on battery power. In the display settings, you can change the time-out after which the backlight is switched off, and adjust the light sensor that observes lighting conditions and adjusts the display brightness.
Leaving applications running in the background increases the demand on battery power. Close the applications you are not using.
Turn off vibrate function of your Nokia phone, using just the ring tone.
Avoid using moving or animated pictures or videos for your Nokia phone's background.
Turn off your Nokia phone whenever you do not plan to answer any calls, for example while you are sleeping.
Make sure your phone is running the latest software. For downloads and assistance, go to your local Nokia website's support page.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Shootist007, by blockd files I mean files that I have changed to blocked and when I tried to move then for the first time, I had to unblock again. I am trying to backup my pictures, my songs and other files like word documents and excel tables. First I put all of them as blocked, what caused the first problems on trying to move them. Then, I've unchecked the block option and if I try to move one by one, there is no problem. The issue is to move all together, because it gets stuck in the preparing to copy files step. Anyway, if I cannot do all by once, I'll do it one by one, event though that was not suposed to happen if we are talking about technology, right? Anyway, I thank you again for trying to help me!

I recently bought a new phone and I want to sell my old one (an iPhone 4). I activated my new phone and erased all the data on my old phone so there is no personal information on it. Do I need to do anything else to make sure the buyer can activate this phone right when they buy it?

Hello,
Yes it will be in your page template. You just need to move #NAVIGATION_BAR# substitution under the #LOGO# substitution tag, probably something like this should work
#LOGO#<div>#NAVIGATION_BAR#</div>

My iPod Touch 4g keeps rebooting. ( sometimes it freezes on the white screen; sometimes on the Apple symbol) What should I do to make it stop? My iPod's warranty has expired. It happens every 10-15 minutes. Help!

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Hi Matt!
I have found a couple of articles that will have relevant information about your issue. The first is about possible iTunes Store errors, and it can be found here:

• TS3308 The settings in my iPad does not have the button iPad cover Lock / Unlock, what should I do to make the button appear?

I just bought an iPad mini on 24th June, previously I had just use the iPad 2,
when I bought my iPad in Sydney, the salesgirl said that the settings of iPad mini would be the same to iPad to but the difference would only be the size.
But after I bought the casing at another store I use it immediately but when I close my casing the screen didn't sleep. So when I open my settings I couldn't see anywhere the button iPad cover lock or unlock.
What should I do ? Help??

Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

• What should I change to make it work?

I export a Quicktime movie (720X480 Animation) out of FCP 6.o.3 on my Macbook (Leopard).
I bring it into FCP 6.0 on a Powermac G5 with BlackMagic Intensity (720 x 486) (Tiger).
1st Try, Sequence: Match clip settings. Dropped Frames
2nd Try, Sequence: Native settings. Render. Dropped Frames
3rd Try, Sequence: Clip captured from Intensity Card. Native Settings. Then drag Quicktime into that sequence, render, no dropped frames,
except for this:
Sometimes things hang. The movie plays great out of quicktime, but in the sequence occasionally one frame will stretch into 7 or 8, then play smooth, then hang again.
Any ideas? Do I need to revert to FCP 6.0? Is it an issue with the 720x486 vs. 720 vs. 480? Should I use a different codec?

The Animation codec is a HEAVY codec...meaning that it isn't designed to be played back in real time. It is just a good lossless codec to send back and forth. You CAN play it back, but you need a pretty serious RAID ARRAY to do that.
And depending on the codecs you are using, you might also need a RAID to handle them. Not many can be played back on firewire drives, or one internal SATA drive.
2nd Try, Sequence: Native settings. Render. Dropped Frames
What are these "native settings?" What specifically are they?

• Help! I have an iMac 24" OSX version 10.6.8 my iphoto is having problems. It will not open properly. All I get is the little wheel going around and around. My iphoto is iphoto'11 version 9.2.3(629.52) What should I do to make it work properly?

Help! I have an iMac 24" OSX version 10.6.8. My iphoto is having problems. It will not open properly. All I get is the little wheel going around and around. My iphoto is: iphoto'11 version 9.2.3(629.52). What do I need to do to remedy this? I recently installed InstallMac. I don't want this on my computer. I don't know how to get it off. I'm afraid that is what scrogged my iphoto. Can anyone tell me how to correct this situation?

Re: iPhoto:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

• After unlock my iPhone 4 iOs 6.0.1 is not accepting any sim , i tried using new sim first it shoes no service then sim failure and invalid sim . what should i do do make it work

after inlocking my iPhone 4 iOs 6.0.1 it shows no service when i used a new sim .

If it is showing invalid SIM error, then the unlocking is not complete. Depending on what carrier authorized the unlock, most require the phone to be restored before the unlock is complete. Once you restore, you should receive a message stating Congratulations, your phnoe is unlocked. Then you restore the backup of the device from before the unlock restore.

• What should i do to make my bluetooth work? any help please.

help.

What other devices besides your iPod Touch and your car?
The iPhone has a very limited set of BT profiles (headset, hands free, A2DP, PAN) and that is it. If you have a headset and it is not pairing with your iPhone check the manual for your headset and try again. There could be a problem with the BT on your iPhone, make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and have them test it.

• My photos are not restoring from my iCloud Backup !, My photos are not restoring from the iCloud Backup! What should I do to make it alright ? Please help !

How can I restore the photos which I restored in my iCloud Backup ?
Does not restore ! Just remaims idle !
Pls help !

I fixed this issue after a lot of time and pain (see below)
Seems to have come up on various threads so it seems to be an issue and should be escalated by Apple. They were none the wiser at the genius bar apart from telling me the iCloud backup is probably corrupted and I should call Apple care (as if that is going to do anything)

I experienced the same problem with the iCloud restore not working properly. I had my iPhone 4 replaced as the home button was defective. When attempting to restore an 9.5GB iCloud backup from the day before it just would not work properly. Firstly, half my apps did not restore, they would begin to download showing the progress indicator then just disappear, leaving my home screen naked. No big deal as apps can be downloaded again.
However, what was a big deal for me was the 1,625 photos on my camera roll, including many of the first year of my kid's life. The camera roll would say downloading x of 1,625 photos, download a few of them, then simply stop downloading any new shots. When I would restart the phone it did not show any downloading message, it believed the restore was complete. I tried about ten different restore scenarios, listed below, all of which gave me varying results (some resulting in all my apps restoring) but all of which would only give me some of my photos back.
What was a comfort was that I once got about 700 of the shots back. So the photos were still in the cloud rather than gone and this indicated that it was the restore process or the iCloud backup on my phone that was the problem. These are the things I tried in sequence as I despairingly tried to get my photos back...
Things I tried that DID NOT work
1) Erase all settings and attempt to restore again from scratch (four times)
2) Tried the restore from a different WiFi network (once)
3) Tried the restore from one WiFi network then switched to another once the restore 'hung' (once)
4) Tried the restore from an Apple store WiFi network (once)
5) Tried the restore from a previous iCloud backup (twice)
6) Had Apple replace the iPhone 4 (once)
With all of these I got a varying amount of my photos and apps back before it stopped restoring. I was also making the mistake (I learnt afterwards) of opening and moving between apps during the download to check progress.
Thing I tried that DID work
1) Did not plug the phone into my MacBook, I used the wall charger only to prevent any iTunes sync activity
2) Erase all settings and data, restore from the iCloud backup and input passwords in all the pop up windows once it reboots.
2) Open photos app gallery to see photos downloading and show the progress message "downloading xx of x,xxx"
3) Left it on this photo screen and did not touch the phone at all for the entire restore. I did not close the photo galley/camera roll app once, open any other apps.
Finally this time round it work and all my photos and apps restored in full. I am going to go back to syncing with iTunes as I don't trust iCloud for restores. It seems that iCloud does not handle photo restores that well, especially if the gallery is large. In short: Wall charger only, restore from iCloud, open Photos app, don't touch. Really hope this works for you too if you've had the same issue.

• I'm planning to give this iPad to my brother in which I already used for a period of time, what should I do to make the settings like a brand new?

should I delete my apple account.if yes.if ever I got my new iPad can I still retrieve all my stored files.

Settings/General/Reset/Erase all Contents and Settings
Then your brother can set it up as a new iPad.
If you do this, you will lose non-iTunes-purchased music, photos, documents, saved progression of games, saved settings on other apps, etc. unless they are backed up somewhere else such as on a computer or through iCloud. After all, you are erasing all content and settings. It won't affect your iCloud stuff such as apps and music you bought through iTunes; you can re-download all that through iTunes. You can also redownload iCloud mail from the iCloud server.
