What the hell is going on with flash lately!?!?

I'm using firefox on Windows 8 x64 and even after the updates i can't watch a video without going nuts! IMDB trailers no longer work without freezing my browsers, youtube videos won't allow to change quality without freezing or stutering as hell, so WHAT THE HELL ADOBE!??

If I go to Mozilla support/forum page and search 'Windows 8' there are many issues listed there:

There might be some information about a workaround in FF option setting there. I personally don't have any info specific for Windows 8 + FireFox + Flash Player compatibility issue but it I hear something, I'll bring it here. Meanwhile please try to use other browsers to see if same issue can be seen.

The problem exists in the statement in bold. The inline view of the merge
returns 11808 rows and should only perform 11808 lookups on the index
on TBL_INSTRUMENT to determine whether or not to insert a row. It is
doing 1393981363 !!Do you have accurate statistics on these tables? Have you got histograms on skewed columns?
Also, given that you are only acting on WHEN NOT MATCHED are you sure MERGE is the way to go? A straightforward insert driving off a NOT EXISTS sub-query or an anti-join might be a much better approach.

What the hell is going on with CC interfaces?

This is boggling. Having just bought a new MacBook Pro Retina and signing up for Adobe CC (after being a steady Adobe customer since before InDesign 1) I can't believe what a mess the interface handling is on Retina displays. The applications I use most often are InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator, and EVERY ONE of these programs displays different UI displays and problems. PSCC displays impossibly small UI menus, and the "experimental" option to boost the UI to 200% simply results in a UI that is now too big and blurry. The DWCC interface doesn't appear to have been updated for hi-res displays, as the entire UI is fuzzy. The InDesign interface offers a couple of options for adjusting the UI scale, but none of them produce a comfortable balance between comfortable viewing, plenty of workspace, and clear, crisp UI display. Illustrator is the ONLY one of these apps that seems to have gotten it right. The interface for Illustrator is compact but usable and leaves plenty of workspace, and the entire UI is crisp and clear.
This is industry standard software, right? (Well, it's the only game in town now, so...) And Retina (or similar) displays are soon to be the standard for the design community. So, yeah, let's force people to pay endlessly (CC subscription) for products that are inconsistently developed causing the most headaches for those that use the applications at the highest level. And this is coming on TWO YEARS since CC was released.

What the heck is going on with TV Shows?

Wow the descriptions of the shows are non-existant before you buy them, are listed as "albums" (bug?) and what the heck is going on with shows taking forever to make it to iTunes after they air??? It's killing the experience for me... three days to a week? Who's messing up, ALL the networks or Apple?

All I can tell you is Apple is dependent on the networks to provide the files. If the network isn't prompt in providing said files, there is not a lot Apple can do.

Now, no CC program will run owing to something called 'Activation problem 194:100'.
Yes, I have logged out. Yes, I have rebooted. Yes, I have deactivated 'more than 2 machines'. Why should I have to repeatedly click to 'deactivate 2 previous activations' when there has NEVER been more than one activation?
Adobe not only make me look a laughing stock in the classroom but this constant issue that has been going on for weeks now subliminally tells students Adobe software is useless!

Welcome to Adobe Forum.
CC has only EVER been activated on ONE PC.
If you look at http://forums.adobe.com/message/6198690#6198690 you'll see (like many other users) I have to constantly sign in and reactivate. It is probably this that is causing the multiple activations.
However, to reiterate, CC is only running on ONE computer. It has not at any time been activated on more than the same PC. One activation - one PC.
So, the suggestion of waiting a few hours (if the prog won't activate / run) is less than adequate. Like everyone else, I pay to have it running 24 hours a day - every day.

What the heck is going on with my Virtual Memory??!!

I'm not really sure why but when I check activity monitor and see my VM it says i'm using anywhere from 230-270 gigs of virtual memory. This is literally fresh out of restart when it says this much and never changes. I go through and check every process I see runing and create a quick estimate of the virtual memory being used, and it's definitely not over 10 gigs if even 5; honestly I think it's listing between 1-2.
What the heck could be causing this? Verified HD and came up clean. Should I be concerned? I'm not gonna lie this macbook isn't running the best it used to be. Watching videos, whether mp4, mkv, youtube, is pretty laggy. I'm aways sure to close all other processes to to try and maximize video performance, not that it helps much. I'm considering a fresh install and recovery via timemachine.

I excluded the list of fonts from step 4 as I'm a graphic design major and have well over a thousand...and I didn't want you to burn up your scroll wheel or rub the tips of your fingers off with the amount of scrolling you'd have to do had I included them .

I just updated Creative Cloud to 1.9.1.474, and my entire CC folder just disappeared. And I can't access any of my 18GB of files on the web. What the hell is going on?

CC says it's re-syncing all 18 GB of my files back to my HDD. I'm on crappy wifi in southern Peru, and I can't access any of my work files for (CC estimates) 22 hours. I'm basically out of business for a day or more. How the hell can Adobe allow this to happen?

With the recent update of the Creative Cloud Desktop app (1.9.1.474) we unfortunately introduced a bug which causes the creation of a new Creative Cloud Files folder, and re-sync of all content. This will only occur the first time the sync application runs after the update. This has caused understandable pain and confusion, for which we truly apologise.
The Creative Cloud Files app contains logic that supports the use of multiple Adobe IDs. This allows you to sign out of one ID and in to another, but keeps your Creative Cloud content separate. When you sign out and change IDs, the app moves the previous Creative Cloud Files folder and it's contents and appends it with the previously signed in ID (User@AdobeID). It then creates a new main folder and starts to sync content of the new ID.
The bug which I mentioned previously occurs, as the app believes an ID switch has taken place and as such, moves the current Creative Cloud Files folder and tries to append the previously signed in ID. As no switch has actually taken place it manifests as (Unknown). The app then creates a new main folder at syncs down the data.
Essentially what you end up with is a Creative Cloud Files folder with your newly sync'd data and a Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder that contains duplicate data.
This occurs once, after the last update completes.
The fix is to simply delete the Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder.
I would advise that you ensure you have no pending edits that you may have made offline and that you check the contents of the new, main Creative Cloud Files folder contains everything you expect it to. If not, check the contents of the Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder.
If there is still a discrepancy with your data, you can check on creative.adobe.com to confirm your data is there.

What the heck is going on with my CODE?

Ok.. so the program encrypts and decrypts text files.. you input the paths for which file to read and where to export it to..
the encrypt code and decrypt code is EXACTLY the same only like ONE line of code is different.. the difference was one had "encrypt()" the other had "decrypt()"
I changed it back to the original "encrypt()" and it worked fine.. which doesnt make any sense because the encrypt() and decrypt() methods are exactly the same only one encrypts the stuff while the other decrypts..

and it runs the readFile(File) method listed in the first post to read the files.
it runs the encryption perfectly, but when it decrypts it the command prompt fills with errors and scrolls several times..
there is no problem with the decrypt method, it has to be the readFile(File) method but I dont know how to fix it..

Firefox continuely freezes, I have everything I can do, with no results. Hell this help page even froze, what the hell is going on.

stupid asses.....the more plugins the more CPU usage, the more freezing, & crashes.....dah! Your site is not that big to hold all these plugins your wanting us to use. Like anything else get one, in turn you get RID of one.....AND DON'T even ask or suggest that I use any of Firefox Security.....Firefox is NOT a security site, they have no clue, so DON'T mess with my McAfee!

I just noticed your earlier post: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/932541 Everything is up to date, on my computer....the problem is Flash Plug In (adobe), it's using to much CPU then crashes along with Firefox]. Normally Flash works fine by itself, but it can have interactions and incompatibilities with other add-ons.
There are two Flash player settings you could change which might help: Flash's hardware acceleration setting and the new protected mode for Windows Vista/7.

What the Heck is going on with 10.5.2? . . . Part 1

Part 2: Is a huge list of all kinds of weirdness that follows this, but . . .
For the longest time 10.5.2 was flawless and I thought +"I'm home!"+ Then my machine started freezing at sleep and then the Part 2 of things started to happen that I am seeing many others doing through. Then the other day the Energy Control Panel just disappeared. I looked at it earlier in the day and later I was restoring my laptop from a partition on my main machine and wanted to make sure that it didn't go to sleep/freeze during. So I went to the Energy Panel to make sure it was set it to "never" and it was not there. Just Plain Gone. Just earlier I have it set just to make the screens dim and I can make it sleep manually when I know I will be done for a while. So I saw it and it was there. But a restore via TM of the ES PP the screens didn't dim, and the screen saver that is turned off, came on. What!
This install of 10.5.2 was done so very carefully and more meticulously than any install in my life. Been using Macs since the late 80's. There are just a couple of apps installed that have been there and all worked great for many weeks. Then all of a sudden freezes and then System Prefs Panels start disappearing. What's next . . . . Oh that's Part 2. I need to get this Sleep thing dealt with before I transcribe my notes. But I will. I know, +"Oh, Joy!"+
I spend more time messing with keeping this thing running now than using it. I have to make a recommendation for a start up organization that has an obscenely large budget and I can spec anything I want. But if this is the way OSX is going to be, I'll go XP. At least all the complications will be expected and potentially addressed.
Anyone having the same problems or found the culprit? Please no "mines fine comments". Remember this is a place to find fixits, not comments for comments sake.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated by me personally and Apples Third Quarter Profits.

Time Machine is meant to restore your own documents or a full system restore. You are not supposed to replace random parts of the operating system using Time Machine or any other means. You don't know what caused your problems. You don't know if your problems are specific to a specific user on your machine.

It's obvious that there are still major holes in 10.5.x. Of which I am hearing from many third party vendors that I am trying to get updates from. So if they see it, they're there. I am very curious to see how large 10.5.3 will be. I read the list of fixes is quite large and getting larger.
Does this mean you will do what so many others have done and hope that 10.5.3 is going to magically fix your problems? Guess what - if your machine is flaky, installing an update is only going to make it worse.
As soon as I can get at least level with the tide, I will post Part 2, I have to sort through my notes, which is a list of all the things that have gone wrong.
Until then . . . . arm yourselves. I know you'll want to retort.
Perhaps not. If you're going in and hacking up your machine, it is pointless to try to diagnose problems due to any number of unknown problems you may have caused yourself.
Also, I took the time to read your post and ask some very specific questions to which you didn't bother to respond. Why would I respond to your Part 2 if you wouldn't meet me halfway on Part 1?
