What to do when you have internet connection but go to use an app, you get the Error message, 'An error occurred connecting to the server. Please make sure you have an internet connection' ?

Yesterday, I downloaded the twoignite app. When I went to open the app to use, this error message appeared: An error occurred connecting to the server. Please make sure you have an internet connection. I checked my connection and found I had a solid connection. I have tried closing the app and reopening it; deleting the app and redownloading it (more than once); turning off my iphone and turning it back on. None of these things have worked. Thanks.

  • "ADE could not connect to the obtention server. Make sure you are connected to internet" error message.

I am trying to download a new ebook that I bought on ebook.de (already did it before and never had problem) and this error message appears "ADE could not connect to the obtention server. Make sure you are connected to internet". I am connected to internet and my connection is quite good... I have no idea how to fix this problem. Can someone help me?

    Hello,
Quickly you can do a check.
    Open your browser
    Type URL: https://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/Status
    Press enter
    You should see something like:
If it says "UP", this indicates ADE will be able to contact activation server.
If not, then, maybe firewall is causing you this issue.
    Thanks

  • HT1338 Software Update can't connect to the update server. Make sure you're connected to the Internet, and then try again

I have been getting this message on MAC OS 10.6.3  "Software Update can’t connect to the update server. Make sure you’re connected to the Internet, and then try again". Internet is working fine for everything else. Updating to 10.6.8 and applying all the security updates and patches [directly downloading from the apple website] has not resolved the issue. Read somewhere about a software update enabler for 10.6, installed it, but not helping.. [not sure of the update server settings to be entered] .Is there no way to make the software update work from the Apple Start Menu??

Problem solved.. Expired rules in Little Snitch caused the glitch

  • Failed to send email. failed to establish connection with the outgoing email server. Please make sure you have entered the email account and password correctly.

I get the message listed above when I try to email pics. It asked me to set up an email account. I chose gmail. It asked for a password. I'm assuming it was asking for my email password. And yes I may have typed it in wrong, but how do I "please make sure you have entered the email account and password correctly" ??? I can't find out how to get back to that point?

Have you checked your Gmail in-box? See if this helps:

  • Why in the (firefox) world I get an error message "firefox an error occured during loading please make sure you have microsoft internet explorer at least version 4 installed and properly configured"??

I'm using latest version of FF (9.0.1). But when opening a certain page of my company's website, I get this error message. Just curious why FF need to depend on IE at all...
May be this is coming from our company's plugin. Nevertheless, if anybody else has encountered this weird error message, and you have found a solution, please feel free to share. Thank you.

This is not a normal message from a standard Firefox installation so this is probably a problem with you company's plugin or your company's webwerver. Firefox does not depend on IE in any way.

  • Please make sure you'r telling HTC about your Thunderbolt issues.

I have been emailing and talking to HTC since I have been noticing things that could be better with my T-Bolt. I must say they have a very good staff and reply quickly. Some of their tips have helped me and the issues they know they have they will assure you fixes are coming. The only way for issues to get fixed is if the manufacturer knows there are issues so please also foward your concerns to them and post results here for all to read.

I totally agree, they have been great.  Verizon transferred me over to them when it was determined to be an HTC issue.  The guy I spoke to on the phone was great and was able to replicate my problem on his phone.  It got escalated and I received calls 3 days in a row when I was on vacation from an engineer following up on the issue.  They were able to replicate the problem on other HTC phones and think there's a problem in their Sense software that will be addressed in the next update.

  • Failed to connect to server - Please make sure SMD Agent is up and Running

    Hi All
I am getting this message in SMD when trying to set up the SMD agent on one of our JAV servers - this is possibly a really simple problem to solve but I have no idea how to start  the SDM Agent.
Can anyone give me instructions on how to do this (Windows / SQL)?
    Thanks in advance
    Phil

    Hi Phil,
The SMD Agent gets installed as an instance & can be started/stopped via the SAP MMC.
    Have a great day,

  • After installing the last version of iTunes, it failed to lunch and gave me 2 Error messages with Error 7 title , rebeat installation several times with the same Error message, what shall I do?

Once I finish upgrading iTunes on my Windows PC, I had an Error as t shown on the image below which doesn't allow the iTunes App to lunch.
Please advise what shall I do ?

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?

  • My nook app continues to state "Please be sure you have internet connectivity, then try again."  I am currently connected to wifi and it seems that all my other apps that need to be connect to the internet are properly working.  Help!

My nook app keeps telling me "Please be sure you have internet connectivity, then try again."  I am currently connected to wifi and it seems that all my other apps that need to be connect to the internet are properly working.  I have turn off my phone, signed off my wifi, installed a new app, but nothing is working.  My friend is having similar issues.  My phone is up to date.  I even tried taking off the wifi in hopes that it could just connect to the 3g but nothing.  Not sure if anyone else is experiencieng this issue or knows what I can do.  I think that it may be an app problem that needs fixed, but not sure. Help!

Maybe its a Viber problem. As that is not an Apple product, why don't you try and contact the developer?

  • Ical error message "your calendar couldn't be refreshed" make sure you're connected to the internet and try again

I've noticed on my Macbook Pro (10.9.3) iCal, iCloud section on left showing error icon after syncing (circling motion to indicate it) ends. When I click the icon, message "your calendar couldn't be refreshed. Make sure you're connected to the internet and then try again later" comes up even though it is connected. iCal no longer syncs with iCloud Calendar ether.
Could someone know what my problem is here?
I have no issue with Contacts or Mail. They just sync as usual.
I have checked my iCloud account and it is correctly set up.
    Please help...

    Hello there, RS.7.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great, in-depth steps for troubleshooting issues with iCloud Calendar on your Mac:
    iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3999
    Particularly:
    Troubleshooting on OS X
    Server error 507?
If you're using OS X Mountain Lion or OS X Lion and get the message “The server responded with ‘507’ to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation,” you've exceeded one or more iCloud Calendar limits. Try removing some calendar or reminder data from your iCloud account.
Confirm that you've turned on iCloud Calendar:
Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu (), then click iCloud.
If you're using OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later, make sure that the Calendars checkbox is selected.
If you're using OS X Mountain Lion or Lion, make sure that the Calendars & Reminders checkbox is selected.
Try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved:
Make sure that you are using OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later. Learn how to verify the version of OS X you are using.
Make sure your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in Calendar or iCal. Learn how to troubleshoot your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Calendar requires port 443 access to iCloud in order to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Calendar servers.
Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, then click the icon for iCloud. Make sure that you're signed in to the same iCloud account that you're using on your other supported devices.
Make sure that you enter and update calendar information in the iCloud section of Calendar or iCal. Only calendars and events in the iCloud section of the Calendar or iCal Calendar list are updated in iCloud. Both Calendar and iCal for Mac support the display of and interaction with multiple accounts and datastores, such as iCloud, On My Mac, Exchange, and Google. This makes it easy to create or modify events or calendars in a section of Calendar or iCal that may not be updating iCloud. Learn more about moving local calendars to iCloud.
In some cases, you may find that you have data duplicated in both the local On My Mac and the iCloud sections of Calendar or iCal. Learn more about resolving this issue.
You can make the iCloud calendar your default calendar for all new events. In Calendar, choose Calendar > Preferences, then click General. In iCal, choose iCal > Preferences, then click General. Locate the Default Calendar setting and choose one of the Calendars under the iCloud heading. Close the Preferences window to save the change.
If recent changes don't appear, try forcing Calendar to refresh by selecting Refresh Calendars from the View menu. In iCal, select Refresh or Refresh All from the Calendar menu.
If you've recently made changes to your contacts' birthdays and are not seeing those changes reflected in your Birthdays Calendar, try to refresh your calendars. If you made the changes in the Contacts app on an iOS device or at iCloud.com, it may take up to an hour for those changes to appear on your other devices.
Make sure that your account was successfully created in Calendar (or iCal) on your Mac. After upgrading to iCloud Calendar, you may need to quit and reopen Calendar (or iCal). To confirm that your account is configured correctly in Calendar (or iCal):
    Open Calendar (or iCal).
    Open Calendar (or iCal) Preferences.
Click Accounts. You should see an account with your iCloud member name in the Apple ID field.
Turn iCloud Calendars off and back on:
    Quit Calendar (or iCal).
Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, then select iCloud.
Deselect the checkbox next to Calendars (or Calendars & Reminders in Mountain Lion and Lion).
Close System Preferences and wait about a minute.
Open System Preferences and select iCloud.
Replace the checkmark next to Calendars (or Calendars & Reminders in Mountain Lion and Lion).
    Close System Preferences.
Open Calendar (or iCal) and test to see if the issue is resolved.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it reinitializes your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.
