When are we going to be able to access You Tube again?

It is so frustrating not being able to open so many videos especially from You Tube.  Is there an app to see all the videos?

I used to be a Telecom technical person for healthcare and legals markets, managing 10s of thousands of voice mail apps and users requests.
I wonder where the "suggestion box" is at Apple?

  • When are we going to be able to use an IPad to run the Adobe Creative Suite?

I work as a designer and would LOVE to be able to take my tablet with me to meetings…when is Apple going to offer an iPad that will run the Adobe Creative Suite? The fact that their competitors are already running photoshop tells me that they must be getting close? When is Apple going to destroy the competition and make this a reality for good?

    Attitude? No attitude. Just facts.
    As to:
why is there a full version of Photoshop available on NON mac products now if that is the case?
That would be because ADOBE wrote and released a version of it for those devices.
Complain to Adobe and tell them you want iOS versions of the apps. Apple has nothing to do with it.

  • So.....when are we going to be able to download flash "officially"?

One thing I don't understand is why we aren't getting updates on how things are going? Leaving us in the dark is not generating hysteria for things like froyo update and flash....It's **bleep** us off not knowing what is going on. I would rather have you tell me there is a problem that you found with flash and you have delayed it, then making me wonder every hour when it will be available. Good communication is key to making a customer's experience great. I have learned this when I was repairing computers for the company I work for. Customers would rather hear problems you run across and solutions you plan to try, then to leave them in the dark about what is going on because you don't want them to think that you have no clue on what you are doing. Things happen and we are all smart enough to understand if problems come up. And those who aren't smart enough, there are plenty of us that can translate for them. In summary, honesty is the best policy....

Very well put to both of you! I could not agree more. Communication is key to not only professionalism - but is also common courtesy!

  • When are we going to be able to rent movie's in Australia??

I recently purchased an Apple TV and was disapointed to find out i am unable to rent movie's. When will this become availablt in Australia?

FYI. I am currently using the US itunes store to put content on my apple tv (I am in Melbourne currently).
The US store gives you access to movies (inc HD) and TV Shows. I bought the seasons pass's to Scrubs, Stargate atlantis, America's top model (the wife nagged me for it) and they download when new episodes are available. (I have to look for new purchases to have them download though).
I can also purchase movies and tv shows from the apple tv itself. I did that with a new US series called Eli Stone and the show was ready to watch within 10 mins of purchase. (It downloaded the rest while I was watching it).
To do this you need a US Itunes Account. I got mine while in the US but you should be able to get one somehow. Perhaps through Ebay? You can certainly by US Itunes gift vouchers through ebay to top up your account if you dont have a US credit card.
Anyway, You can always put your own content on the box. There are many programs that will allow you to convert files or DVD's and put them on your apple tv. I can suggest a mix of AnyDVD and CloneDVDMobile (which has an apple TV option of converting a dvd to 720s408, 856x480 or 1280x720.
I will probably head back to the US at the end of the year and will be taking the appletv with me even though I bought it here in Melb. I wont be taking my dvd's back but convert them and put them onto hard drive and sync when I want to watch them.
I am looking forward to when aussie shows are out on itunes so that when I am in the states I will purchase and download those via my Australin Itunes account.
Happy to talk to you more about this if you like.

  • When are we going to be able to link FB contacts to our contacts list?

I have tried all the suggestions from others to get my FB contacts to link to my contacts. They are all Google linked but for some reason they will not link to FB. I WANT A NEW PHONE THAT DOES THIS!!! I miss my Lumia

I understand your concerns regarding how your current phone sync differently to Facebook than your previous phones marshpup! A way to confirm that your contacts are in fact synced is to access your contacts on your phone and see if your Facebook contacts are also listed there. Having the little faces on your home screen may not be a feature that all phones have.

  • When are we going to be able to use adobe and flash?!

I got the iPad to use while perusing my masters degree; I was very disappointed that I can't even view my online classes on the iPad because of the block Apple has against Adobe, Flash Player and Java! Grr... Why oh Why can't they just play nice?!

Flash will never be enabled on the iPad, or any iOS device for that matter, and Adobe has finally realized that.  This is why Adobe has recently come out with a new program called Adobe Edge, a new software designed to develop HTML5. This program is being built as the successor of Adobe Flash, and will be a vital tool in creating iOS-compatible websites and structures.
Flash was never enabled on the iOS platform because it's proven to be unstable through it's many years of existence, which also opens a user up the the vulnerability of computer viruses.  HTML5 on the other hand, rights all the wrongs with Flash.

  • When are Adobe going to make it easier to deploy flash player to the enterprise????

I've been deploying flash player for well over 5 years now and in that time the deployment has only got very marginally better.
Why do they continue to allow installs just to fail when the control is in use??? I've written vbscripts to kill the handle to the ocx activex file, rename the ocx to .old which allows the installax.exe install utility to complete without errors. When Internet explorer next relaunches it uses the new control and the old one can be deleted. Why can't they incorporate this kind of logic into their installs?
Why do Adobe insist on using rubbish exe routines inside msi's that are perfectly capable of installing applications and don't just bomb out at the first sign of a difficulty? Using custom installer routines inside msi's makes it very difficult for people who have more than adequate repackaging and software deployment experience to be able to customise and get around the difficulties that Adobe forces upon us.
When are Adobe going to realise that the way they are releasing updates for flash player is costing companies a lot of money in company's helpdesk and systems team's time spent supporting and troubleshooting their buggy installs? At best I've only experienced a 95% success rate with flash player deployments. Some people might say "what am I complaining about?" and "that's to be expected". This has only been the case with weeks of work to fix the flaws in the flash player install routines. However 5% failure on 4000 machines is 200 possible help desk calls and 200 people not able to use various applications, view web content etc. Before we invested the time in scripting to get around the installer flaws the success rate was closer to 75%, that's 1000 out of 4000 that were failing. Does anyone think that's acceptable considering how widely it's used?
What has Adobe got planned for enabling large businesses to manage the deployment of flash player better? They've done it with other products why can't they do it with flash player?
For software deployment teams this is a constant and ever present headache.
Any Adobe representative want to comment???

It's ridiculous cause most website use Flash Player and none of them work on my LG 650v Smart TV.
Are discussions being held between Adobe and LG? If yes, are they close to a solution? If no, what seems to be the issue?

  • When are we going to get a 64-bit version of Acrobat ? ? ?

I started bookmarking a PDF of an old book from 1916, and I was unable to finish due to out-of-memory errors.
Near the end, I was closing the PDF and re-opening it after each new bookmark.  I finally reached a point
where I couldn’t add any more bookmarks.
That’s not all!  When I later opened the document and selected a page to begin reading,
I found that after that first page, I got an out-of-memory error whenever I tried
    to move to another page.
Fortunately, I have an unbookmarked backup copy of the document.
I have plenty of RAM on my computer, but the current version of Acrobat is a 32-bit program,
which I understand can access no more than 2 GB.
When are we going to get a 64-bit version of Acrobat that can handle book-size PDFs without
    running out of memory?

Thanks for getting back to me Dave!
The file is about 91 MB in size, with just under 400 scanned pages.
I’ve also encountered the problem when I’ve tried to OCR one of these old books.  I’ve had to do it 50-100 pages at a time, closing and re-opening the file each time.
Based on my online search for a solution, I had concluded that the 2 GB limit for 32-bit programs was the most likely source of the problem.  But I’m wondering now if Acrobat could use 2 GB  in processing a 91 MB file.
