Sometimes it will come back, but usually the option for volume changes go away.

I found a resource to help troubleshoot what may be going on with the camera. Its from our article named iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash (iPhone 4 only); try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
And
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
If the issue still persists then I would recommend backing up and restoring the iPhone. If the previous troubleshooting does not resolve it, then this will if it is a software issue.

Recently, when charging iPad, the display blinks, alerts and no charging. I changed cable with no joy. BTW: OS7 upgrade on iPad 2 was fairly benign.

Recently, when charging iPad 2 the display flashed and charging alert repeats. Reset, changed cable and still no joy.

Fixed problem - easy. Also OS7 upgrade on iP2 a snap and nothing too weird. All is well.

I understand you are trying to connect your iPhone to your computer so you can sync media to the iPhone, but when you connect your iPhone to your computer iTunes does not recognize the device. The steps to get this resolved will be different depending on if your computer is running Mac OS X or Windows. I’ll include both articles below.

For some reason, did you fail to use the iPhone as intended? Meaning copying the pictures and videos off the device regularly so that in the event the device is lost/stolen or simply fails, copies would exist on your computer?
You can try restoring from the backup created prior to the update, but it is strongly recommended that pictures/videos be copied off the device on a regular basis. Then any pics/vids that the user desires to keep on the device can be synced back via iTunes.

Volume slider/icons and in fact, sound goes away randomly.

Well, yes. Sudonly the sounds goes away. And the volume slider and any sound related icons are gone too. Restart...nothing happens. Updated iOS, Restored IPOD, Put it back to factory default, etc. No luck. Any ideas??? Thanks!

Sounds like a hardware issue on the logic board.

This seems to happen once every minute or two. I have more than enough RAM/Power, etc. About every other time I use FCPX it will spontaneously close (typically when editing a title). None of these things were happening previously. I have lots of projects that I store on Promise Pegasus drives via Thunderbolt. I only keep a few projects and the associated events open in FCPX at a time, otherwise I use Event Managaer X to keep track of them. Can anybody give me any suggestions as to why this is occurring and what I can do to remedy it? I have the latest version of FCPX as far as I can tell. This is driving me mad and costing me significant time while editing. By the way, I am doing just basic editing. Essentially trimming, cutting and adding some transitions and a few title screens. Thanks in advance for your help.

These apperarances of the spinning wheel tend to be related to some io operation that takes too long. Maybe the finder is trying to reach a network server that became unavailable.
I would try clearing caches and do an overall maintenance with an utility like OnyX.
Also, trashing preferences does no harm and is often the first troubleshooting measure when FCP X misbehaves.

Try trashing the .plist with CharacterViewer in its name in Home/Library/Preferences. To get to Home/Library you may need to hold the option key down while you do Finder > Go.
