I found some steps to help resolve the "Activation: failed" error messsage you are getting on your Apple TV:
Restart your base station or router. Sometimes this is done by turning the router off for a few seconds, and then on again, but check the documentation provided by the manufacturer.
To restart your Apple TV, press and hold Menu and Menu down/scroll ( - ) for about 6 seconds and then choose Restart from the menu.
If the issue continues after restarting, reset your router or base station and Apple TV to factory settings
Reset your base station or router. Use the documentation provided by the manufacturer to reset to factory settings.
To reset your Apple TV perform a factory restore.

I bought my iPad 2 three months ago from apple, and all my updates re from apple through iTunes. Version 4.3.3 is the latest version I updated, have been trying hard to update 4.35 but I get error messages all the time when the update is almost complete. Everything was working beautifully since I bought it, but this update problem just cropped up last week. I need a way out pls.

Windows XP
Close iTunes and disconnect the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Choose Start > Control Panel.
Inside the Control Panel, open Administrative Tools.
Open Services.
Select Apple Mobile Device and click Stop the service as shown below:
After the service has stopped, click Start the service.
After the Apple Mobile Device service has started again, open iTunes and connect the device.
Windows Vista or Windows 7
Close iTunes and disconnect the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Click the Windows Start button .
In the Start Search field type Services.
In the Programs section of the search results, Click "Services".
Select Apple Mobile Device and click Stop the service as shown below:
After the service has stopped, click Start the service.
After the Apple Mobile Device service has started again, open iTunes and connect the device. -

ITunes download err = -43 What does it mean and how do I solve ti?
After purchasing several movies from iTunes, and leaving them in iCloud until I wish to watch them (saving HD space), I am encountering numerous problems downloading them to my MBPro (late 2011 model running OS 10.7.5, iTunes 11.1.3 (8)). Namely, the last four downloads I attempted only get so far into the download before they quit, giving me either a "err = -50" or "err = -43" error. The download times are atrocious ... 3 or (many) more hours to download a 90 min HD movie! I'd rather watch paint dry. That aside, "err = -43" has me stumped. I can find no reference to it anywhere in any of the forums. I am beginning to have flashbacks to OS 9, if any of you can recall the end of its life, when my overwhelming desire was to fling my Walstreet laptop against the wall. iTunes can go the same way, far as I'm concerned. This coming from a devoted Apple loyalist for 27+ years.
I have taken a screenshot of the download box with the error messages, but that doesn't seem to want to upload to this forum.
Tried again and successfully uploaded screne shot ... if you look behind the dialogue box, you'll see the "err = -43" I was speaking of. Have tried all of the obvious solutions ... restarts, zapping ram, repairing permissions, emptying cache. Nothing seems to be working. Then there's the ongoing "err = -50" problem. Restart your computer and the iPhone. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo. It is safe to do, there should be no content loss. It is the same as rebooting your computer.
