When going to some websites I see my bookmarks showing in status before page loads
On certain websites I get a load slowness. If I look at the status bar I see some of my bookmark toolbar site URL showing before the page I actually typed in to see. Status bar doesn't show actual site I wanted to go to. I deleted the favorite toolbar buttons and site loads fine.
This doesn't happen on all major sites, and not all the time.

Check Point is the company that makes ZoneAlarm, a firewall-antivirus, et al security software suite. They also offer large-scale security "solutions" for companies.
I thought perhaps the blocking may have been coming from your end, i.e., if you were using ZoneAlarm. Can you reproduce this using Internet Explorer or some other browser?
Also, I'm assuming this is happing while using your personal computer and not coming from a work computer. If you're being blocked while using a work computer, that's your answer... -

Hi, I connected to the internet in a different location using ethernet cable and when I got home websites like yahoo wont get to the sign in page and other sites too...weirdly facebook and google works ...please help...tearing my hair out!!!and now, when i tried to check again my network preference below the airport tab is showing a message that
"my airport does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet!"
then after seconds it will goes back to the first message that
"airport has the self assigned IP address etc....."
i don't know whats going on now!

When carrying out some house keeping on my bookmarks, every time I delete or move one or add a folder I get the beach ball showing and a very delayed response where everything freezes. Any ideas?
If you're synchronizing Safari with iCloud, disable that temporarily and see whether there's an improvement.

I am having problems with Firefox. When I click on the shortcut, or the .exe file nothing happens. I check task manager to see if it is running and it does not show Firefox is running.
But when I shut down the computer then the browser shows up right before the computer shuts down. I have tried starting the browser in safe mode and the same thing happens. When going from the desktop to a website, I get the following message. "There was a problem sending the command to the program" Even though I get this message, I still connect to the website.
As reported in earlier replies, the annoyance disappeared after I upgraded to Roboform 7.5.6, from 7.5.4.

I have one problem and I think it is a settings issue. When I google the web I get results. Now, I visited some website and then I want to return to my search results and pick another search result. And there is a problem: I don't have any markers (diffrent link colour for visited sites in IE) that would help me to distinguish visited and not visited sites.Why start a new and very similar thread to your other one which you have not responded to (have you read the replies?)

When I use Firefox some websites are huge. If I use explorer the size is normal. For example Facebook.

It seems that the current version of Firefox does not understand how to process style sheets. Instead of the stylesheet background color or image, I am now seeing my PC's desktop background image. This does not happen with IE or Chrome. When checking the error console, I get "Warning: Unknown property 'zoom'. Declaration dropped. Source File: http://trustserve.net/themes/ModernBlue/templates_cached/EN/global.css Line: 4"

The problem started shortly after I installed two new programs, a graphics program, and an anti-virus. I just removed both programs and restarted the computer and that seems to have solved the problem. Your idea about Aero gave me the idea that one, or both of these programs changed some of my system settings. I am now going to install them, one at a time, and see if the transparency problem returns. I'll post my findings. -
When I go to a secure website, https, where firefox doesn't recognize the certificate, I get a warning. I then have to add an exception, but even then the exception isn't permanent. I need to either turn off that security feature, or have a way to add the certificate\site permanently. This is very frustrating as several local applications I support use https in browser. Even though the sites are local I still have to go through the process of adding an exception, every single time I access those applications.
Check out why the site is untrusted (click "Technical Details to expand that section) and if this is caused by a missing intermediate certificate then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
Note that some firewalls monitor secure (https) connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
