When I click 'buy' next to a song, nothing happens and I am unable to make purchases. Has anyone had this problem?

In the Itunes store, for some reason it is not letting me complete a purchase when I try to click "Buy." I am not sure what the problem is, because my software is up to date, and I've always been on the same macbook. I also made sure I was signed into my apple account, and I was. Any suggestions?

Hey there - just a few minutes ago suddently I experienced the same problem.
However, a couple of months ago on December 1, 2012, I purchased/downloaded Prometheus (Movie) no prob.
Anyhow, here's how I resolved the issue: (restarted after each download/update)
Originally running OSX 10.5.8, iTunes 9.2, Safari 4.0.5, Quicktime 7.6.4
Then, in effort to fix, I downloaded/updated from the apple website "iTunes 10.3" - Didn't solve my problem.
So then I downloaded/updated from the apple website "iTunes 10.6.3" - Didn't solve my problem.
So then I downloaded/updated via apple (menu) software update "Security Update 2011-4" - Still nothing.
So then I reinstalled iTunes 10.6.3 - Still didn't solve my problem.
And then finally, when I downloaded/updated via apple (menu) software update "Safari 5.0.6" - Resolved it!!!
So now I'm running OSX 10.5.8, iTunes 10.6.3, Safari 5.0.6, Quicktime 7.6.4

    Hi Terence, When I am uploading photos from a memory card,not all of the photos show up on I photo as a photo image, but show up as a dotted square line. For example, I just added 12 photo from two days. The first day had 5 photos, but only 4 show up as images, then there is 1 as dotted  a square. The next day, there 7 images, with only 4 showing up as photos, and three as the dotted squares.
    I am using I photo 11, 9.1.1.

  • When I try download new os 5.1.0 on my iPhone 4 I get this error message  "stopped (err = -3259)" after it has downloaded.  Has anyone had this problem and if so what is the fix.

    When I try to download iPhone OS 5.1.0 on my PC I get this message "stopped (err = -3259)"and says it timed out at the server after the entire download.  I have tried 3 times, it takes about 8 min. to download the 790.7 MB file.  Has anyone had this problem and what is the fix?

    I have a number of hard drives that my Mac Book Pro no longer 'recognises' at least for very long.  When I turn them on the deskstop icon shows up but then shortly afterwards I get a message saying that it has been unplugged incorrectly.  I haven't unplugged it any of them.  When I try to run very/repair disk before they disappear I get the error in the subject line above.  Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you rectify it?

    The drive is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced, or you have some other hardware fault.
    Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.
    Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.

    *An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.

    Has anyone had this problem? With earbuds connected the ipod keeps turning itself off. I then have to turn it on and it will play for another 60 sec and shut off.

    Make sure the plug is fully inserted into the iPod.  There will be a noticeable click, and you may need to push harder than expected.

    Restore your media from the backup of the computer created prior to restoring the computer.
    You did create a backup, correct?  Not doing so would be extremely unintelligent.
    iOS devices are NOT backup devices.

    Didn't know an iPhone is capable of "BS"! Impressive.  Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide:  Restart, Reset, Restore.

    It sounds like you are constantly needing to restore your phone because it keeps going into recovery mode. Usually putting a device into recovery mode and restoring it can help isolate an issue to your iPhone hardware if an issue persists afterwards. I would try manually putting it into recovery mode and restoring it 1 more time:

    Although you say you have let the battery drain, was it for long enough? Since nothing else that you've tried so far has worked, I suggest that you leave the iPod unplugged for at least four days, preferably a week. That way, if something is stopping the iPod from turning the screen on, then whatever it is will drain the battrey. However, since the screen isn't on, that may take longer than if the screen was on.
    Then, after that time, plug the iPod into a power source and leave it alone for at least thirty minutes. Only after thirty minutes will it show any signs of life, but you should leave it until it is fully charged before trying to use it.
    If you get to this stage, the fact that the battery has drained will cause the iPod to reset when it springs back to life.

    Thanks roaminggnome....my teenage son uses this phone and hasn't backed it up...so I don't want to restore it to factory settings just yet. Tried your other suggestions with no joy so if it comes on normally after discharging the battery tonight I'll restore it after backing up all his contacts ,music etc.
    I was curious as to what the fault actually is as no-one seems to have had this one where I've looked on the internet.
    The phone was dropped and subsequently repaired through insurance in Sept 2011 and they issued me with another imea number so the complete internals of the phone must have been replaced by them so I hope that the fault is covered by their normal warranty on work carried out.         Hi there, dealisland1! I'm very sorry about your email issue. Let's get right to fixing it! First, I recommend deleting that email account and then re-adding it. To delete an email account, to to Settings> Email> Account settings> tap the name of your email account, then tap menu (the three vertical dots)> select Remove account.

  • Error #3259, Has anyone had this problem when downloading ios5?

    IOS5 completes its download then starts processing the file, then this error pops out! #3259 and asks to check network connectivity, which is not the problem! Please help me fix this issue! ive downloaded ios5 about 6 times now, and everytime the same error ocurrs.

    Dear Apple Lovers.........tried doing this 5 times, failed all 5 times with this pesky error esp at the last stage during processing after downloading the software of 774mb.
    Finally uninstalled my Kaspersky Antivirus 2010, disabled my Windows Vista Firewall and guess what.... sixth attempt and its installed; but yeh did come across a new error this time... Error -50 for failure to restore backup due to some backup error, continued with the risk of removing all contents of the phone and restore to factory default settings.
    So finally managed to install "iOS 5", and later spent 5-7mins to restore a backup 1 day old back into the iPhone. Got all my contacts, pics, vids, calendar entries, apps back installed from my backup.
    And...... EUREKA!!!!!
    P.S. My setup- iPhone 4 (GSM), Windows Vista, Anti-virus- Used to have Kaspersky (had to uninstall)
