Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

When I usually go into yahoo mail, there is an icon at the top left hand side to access my calendar and notepad. They are both gone, but there is a field in the bottom left corner that has the buttons. When I click on either one, I just get a blank screen. I've not updated by Firefox to a new version and can't imagine what happened overnight.
This sounds more like it's a temporary problem with Yahoo's mail website. My advice at this point is to see if this fixes itself within a few hours. If not, please come back (actually, do come back regardless and let us know if your problem is solved).

My iMac locks up constantly in email. I click on one or two emails. Then when I click on another email, I get the spinning wheel and have to relaunch. Why does it get confused and lock up? Seems like it is stuck.

It can happen from time to time, especially with third-party apps, though shouldn't happen too often with the ones created by Apple, such as Safari. Turning your iPod completely off and then on again can sometimes help.

I just got an iphone 4 and when I go to sync it, it appears in the left hand column but when I click on it there is just a blank screen with the apply logo and a tiny lock.
OK, I think I fixed it.
After trying to restore with an old backup from the phone (it estimated it would take 4 hours) I cancelled and went through the setup menus again, but set it up as a new phone. It then appeared in iTunes and I restored it from the computer, not the phone. It appears to be working, it's syncing my old apps right now.
Summary:
1. Reset settings on phone (hopefully you backed up fairly recently)
2. Set up as NEW iPhone in setup menu on phone
3. Restore from iTunes on computer when it recognizes the phone
4. Cross fingers -

The top picture is what my Desktop 1 looks like. And the picture below is what my desktop looks like after clicking mission control. Ive tried changing wallpapers, changing preferences, etc. and I still can't figure out what's wrong. As you can see, on mission control you can't see any of the open windows, or anything that I have placed on my desktop. Any ideas as to how to solve this issue?
Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time. -

My friend started a installation of Windows Vista, but pulled out after deleting all partitions...
So now i power it on, get a blank screen (seems a bit gray because of backlighting, should show the apple logo right?)...
Then after like 15-20sec it will throw out a:

Does anyone here have a magic soloution for me, and no i will not install MacOS on it !!!Deleting Boot Camp partitions the conventional way will not work . You must use the Boot Camp Assistant to remove a Boot Camp partition. Here is a link to the guide.

The way to restart is to hold down the option/alt key during startup* and then selecting the Mac OS. If you have a valid Boot Camp install of Windows it would show up during this type of start up.
* hold down immediately after pressing the power button and until the OS choice screen appears.
To summarize.
1 Use the above method to boot into Mac OS.
2 Download the instructions and read them.
3 Use Boot Camp Assistant to remove the partition.
4 Pick your friends more carefully. -

I recently downloaded the newer version of FF and now when i click to open it i am getting an error in the top left corner of my screen. i can't even read what the message says in entirety b/c it's wrapping over off the side of the screen. When I click the error message than FF will open. Also, when I'm trying to send emails from an online shopping cart thru my business and I'm getting an error that it won't send and that's never happened until this problem w/FF. Please tell me what i should to to get FF working normally again.Can you tell us what text is in the part that you can read ?

If I open Weight Watchers, for example, and then click on the Plan Manager icon, the above screen comes up and hides the WW screen. I click on "History and Bookmarks". Then wait. A few days ago i purchased an original iPhone from my friend that was broken. It would not load past the white apple logo when i turned it on. I put the iPhone in recovery mode and restored it to iOS 3.1.3 and assumed it would work after that. I however, was wrong! The iPhone is currently stuck on the slide for emergency and connect to itunes screen. When i plugged it into the computer and went to itunes, the phone was listed under devices. But when i clicked on it, it just came up with a blank white screen that said iphone in big gray letters. I live in Italy because my father is in the military so therefore i cannot take it to an apple store to ask someone smarter than me for one on one help with this problem. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated i just want to have this phone working again! lol
Ok!!! I found the way how to do it and everything is fine now. If someone has got the same problem as me you just need to restart your iPad. You hold the Sleep/wake button till the red line comes out then you scrol your finger on it and then after a minute you hold the same button again till the apple sing come out.
