When I click print preview I get a blank page with the toolbar but no preview just ads for POGO and yahoo search. WHY?
Printer info, # of pp. page set-up, scale, & portrait or landscape choices are at the top of the page, but there is no preview print showing at all. Just a web search box and a POGO ad are visible in an otherwise blank page. What do I have to do to see the page I am trying to preview?
Did you post this from the computer with the problem?
It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware.
Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is
there for. Also, check the programs that are on your computer

I have a problem that when I click on something I get a dialog box with Back,Reload page, Open in Dashboard,View Source Save page as ETC. I don't get the normal or expected respose to a simple "click". Another problem. For some reason the back and forth arrows it the tool bar of Safari have shifted from the upper left hand cornor to the uuuer rihht hand cornor.
Something is seriously wrong then. Did you move it? There are several Library folders. One of them should be inside your HOME folder.
If WZZZ suggestion does not work, re-install your OS by using Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo. When done, repair permissions and restart your computer. -
i'm trying to load photoshop elements 12 on my mac os x and when i click setup.exe i get : You can’t open the application “Setup.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X. The premiere elements 12 out of the same box loaded just fine.
An .exe file means you have the windows version. Go get the mac version:

I had the same problem after upgrading to Yosemite. Illustrator CS6 wouldn't open. I got a message saying I should 'install legacy Java SE6 runtime'.
The link didn't work - it lead to a blank page.
So I downloaded Java8 (latest version) from Oracle but didn't install it. Something told me this was not the right way to go (the problem was with Java SE6, not 8). I then called Apple (in the Netherlands, were I live) for help. I got none. The best they could do was blaming Adobe for the problem or me, for not having the latest Adobe CC app. Rubbish.
And then, magic. I tried to open Illustrator again, got the pop up message but this time the link worked. It took me to an official Apple page, with a link to download Java for OS X 2014-001. The problem is now solved.
If curious, this is the explanation Apple gives for the problem:
'Java for OS X 2014-001 includes installation improvements, and supersedes all previous versions of Java for OS X. This package installs the same version of Java 6 included in Java for OS X 2013-005. On systems that have not already installed Java for OS X 2012-006 or later, this update disables the Java SE 6 applet plug-in. To use applets on a web page, click on the region labeled 'missing plug-in' to download the latest version of the Java applet plug-in from Oracle.'

and follow one of the "paths" to get what you need or to an Apple customer support employee. One path is to click Contact Support at the bottom of the list of choices, and use the Express Lane.
The iTunes app also has a way to report a problem with a purchase. Select iTunes Store in the sidebar (of the iTunes window). Toward the upper right corner, click on your Apple ID. This gets you to your Account Information screen. Find Purchase History and click See All. On that screen, you can select a specific purchase with that problem, and Report a Problem.

With regard to my mini ipad, I'm unable to update my apps. What I get is just a blank page with the icons (features / top charts / genius etc) below.Tried rebooting but still get the same results.

If you are getting the blank app update screen, many people are having this problem over the last couple of days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then.
If the above does not work try:
I understand that your App Store does not show your app updates. Please follow the steps below to help resolve the issue.
1. Close All Apps on iPad: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
2. Sign out of iTunes & App Stores: Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Tap AppleID > Sign out

I want to have firefox as my default browser. As this is a new laptop, I hasve to download firefox. As per the instructions, I click on "run" to complete the download, but instead of completing the download, a window appears which says that the author is unknown. If I ignore the window and click on run, I get another window which says the file is corrupt and I can't finish the download and have firefox as my browser.
I have windows 7 and explorer is the default browser and I want to change to firefox, but so far am being prevented from doing so. How can I successfully download firefox?It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

I use an ipod classic 120G. When I try to launch itunes I first of all see a box stating "The registry settings used by itunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall itunes" This I have done. obviously I cannot burn CDs but worse still is my ipod is not being recognised by itunes and will not sync. I have not installed any new burning softeware. When you ask to connect to these sites using https, Firefox gets a certificate from the website which responds. Anyone can make a certificate, but to be valid the certificate must be signed by an organization which Firefox trusts.
The person responding provided a certificate with its response which which was not signed by anybody, so Firefox doesn't know who sent the response, and neither do you.
In short: you asked to talk to google and google did NOT send the response.
As this is happening for several different websites, the attacker is probably on the network between your computer and the internet. Ask the people you get your internet connection for help: they may have had their computers hacked, may discover that the problem exists further along in the network, or they may even be responsible themselves. -
If I open Weight Watchers, for example, and then click on the Plan Manager icon, the above screen comes up and hides the WW screen. I click on "History and Bookmarks". Then wait. Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />

Why, when I order prints, am I getting a blank white screen?
When I try to order prints, I got in via Share and Order Prints. I select the photos I want, hit Order Prints and I see the 'Getting Photos' message-then a blank white screen and nothing. Why isn't it pulling up the photos I want to order?
Few things:
- Do you use any proxy or firewall?
If nothing like that, are you able to use other online services like share to Showcase
If all the online workflows are broken, try repair for application.
