When I connect my iPod touch to my computer, I have a list of Events on my iTunes/iPod/Photos. I want to erase these Events. However, the photos are NOT on my MacBook Air. When I check one of the Events and then hit Apply, the photos appear on my iPod.

Letter keys are not working on MacBook Air when playing games?
Hello. I'm using 10.6.6 on my MacBook Air 2.1 (2009 model).
I've got a really strange issue when playing games (any game produces this issue). ONLY the letter keys aren't working. The rest is working - numbers, function keys, arrows, tab, enter, delete, etc. Only the keys A to Z are not working.
This happens both on native games (like Hedgewars from App Store) and ported ones (like Need for speed).
What's the issue?

Usually (and more often then not) when an entire row of keys is out this is due to an issue with the keyboard component of the machine. Not the keycaps themselves but with the underlining circuitry between logic board, cable and sensor for the keys. This will usually require a technician to replace the entire keyboard assembly. Is the machine covered by the one-year limited warranty or APP?
I recommend a visit to your local Genius Bar / Authorized Service Center. -

i upload all of my photos from my iphone 5 onto my macbook air to get more space on my phone, and now whenver i try to upload it says there is no more storage or there was a problem transferring a picture. what can I do to get more space onto my iphoto? I've tried putting the pictures on flashdrives, but iphoto would no tlet me transfer.
I don't know how large the SSD (solid state hard drive) is, or how big your iPhone 5 is, but with some iPhones having 64GB and some Airs having as little as 64GB and some having as much as 512GB it's not hard to see how storing the contents of your iPhone 5 on your Macbook Air could run you out of space.
Go to the Macbook Air and bring up a finder window and pull the Go menu down and go to the Computer. Right click on the Macintosh HD and select get info. See if there is any available space on the MacBook Air. If not you are out of SSD space (you're storing more on your Macbook Air than it has storage for). I'm not sure if iTunes can store its library on an external hard drive or quite how you would make that happen. But even if you managed that, when the hard drive was disconnected, you would lose access to your library. Using a smart media card might be possible (I don't know) but it would probably be irritatingly slow. If you have a small Air and a big iPhone you might just have to find a different computer to sync to. Just remember a 64GB iPhone is a big chunk of SSD for a Macbook Air. I did it with my previous and my current Air but even my previous one had 256GB and I really just fit. -
my start up disc is full i have a macbook air, i back everuthing up with time capsule and have movies all my music libraries and photos onto that too so as i have free space, but my max still says my startup disc is full with "other"
First, empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of your data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
If you're using Time Machine to back up a portable Mac, some of the available space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of files you've recently deleted. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as "Backups." The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself.
To locate large files, you can use Spotlight as described here. That method may not find large folders that contain a lot of small files.
You can also use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Proceed further only if the problem hasn't been solved.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal. -

This issue can be caused by a corrupt local snapshot index. The procedure below will temporarily disable local snapshots and force the index to be rebuilt.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

Use the Flash Drive that came with your computer it has Snow Leopard installed on it. If you lost it or cannot find it then call Apple and they will replace it for you, I don't know how much they will charge.
BTW when installing MS Windows please follow the directions whether you are using Boot Camp or a vitualialization solution (Parallels, Fusion, etc.) had you done this you would not have had any issues. -

I have a MacBook Pro Retina display: 15.4-inch late 2015 with OS X Mavericks install, only on second week.
Insight works on FaceTime, Skype, but yahoo program does not show insight cam in dropped down.
Now when I got my new MacBook Pro, I down loaded all new Skype (worked tested), FaceTime (Worked Tested), Yahoo (not worked)
Fix:
With the new Maverick you have to use there messager program Version 8.0 (4218). Once I add my yahoo account video works again.
It also supported AOL, AIM, Google Talk, Jabber.

My newish MacBook Air was just lost to a coffee spill, and I need to migrate back to my MacBook Pro using a recent back-up (Time Machine to external disk) for a few weeks. This same disk was used to back-up the Pro earlier, and to migrate from the Pro to the Air. Can I do this "back-migration" from the Air to the Pro? Is it maybe better just to migrate the specific folders (Outlook email, Office docs) I am sure I need?
Do not attempt to copy files/folders from a Time Machine backup. Only use the Time Machine application to restore from the backup.
Click on a Finder window and select Help from the Finder's Help menu. Search for "restore" and select "restore items backed up with time machine" from the hints list. You will find these two articles:

Camera not working on macbook air
I have a macbook air (bought this year), mavericks 10.9.4 and my camera isn't working. When I opened FaceTime, it did nothing and when I opened PhotoBooth, there was I sign for loading (but nothing happened) and the little green light besides the camera was blinking. I just tried resetting and logging with another username but nothing happened. What should I do ?
I tried everything on that list, I even reset the SMC but it's still not working. Also the camera isn't detected in the USB header (before and after reseting SMC)...

Wife's new iPhone 5 will not sync with MacBook air.
My new iPhone 5 syncs perfectly well via my iTunes account with my MacBook Air. Over time I think my wiofe and I may have shared access to my iTunes account but she definitely has her own as well and there are times I have needed to enter her password when purchasing something and vice versa.
So I tried to back up her old iphone to our (new) MacBook Air. It wouldn't. It seems to want to back up to our old PC. I wanted to set her iPhone 5 up from an IiTunes backup but can't.
What should I do? Set her phone up from new?

Actually, I suspect you can't. You get various behaviors based on a combination of settings in Preferences > Interface; namely Open Documents as Tabs and Enable Floating Document Window Docking; but it doesn't seem to make much sense as far as I can tell. Throw in the additional "application frame" wildcard on a Mac, and even just exploring the effects of the settings and drawing conclusions about them gets tricky. It sounds like you've got your windows floating, whereas I suspect many if not most users have opted for the more structured and seemingly more logical tabbed/docked method, in which case they haven't encountered your issue and don't really understand it. One might ask; if your new/current document is "in front" then what difference does it make if others behind it are minimized, maximized, or something in between?
