The command is gone because iDVD has been discontinued by Apple. After Apple discontinued iDVD they removed the iDVD burning link from iMovie. I still use iDVD sometimes, only because I have an old copy.

I don't know what RF means. When I have used HandBrake, I've used presets that apply to what I want to do, so I don't know the meaning of each individual setting. However, it appears that many of them are listed in the HandBrake User's Guide that is linked from the Help menu in the program:

Photoshop is not amateur-level software, and although it can edit a video, it cannot burn a DVD. Unfortunately, because I still use iMovie, I haven't tried anything else. You might want to read the reviews of various DVD-burning applications in the Mac App Store.

Searching infos in the iBooks Author documentation available on line is awfully cumbersome and a lot of embedded links are wrongly flagged this way. In the Help files they aren't links but underlined strings.

Try this (assuming you're using iPhoto 12): make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and try the three fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library.
Select options #1, #2 and #6.
Fix #3
Rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Consequently, I haven’t been able to do any software updates, my computer is running slow and I'm getting a lot of pop-up junk on my screen. I’m the only user on my computer, apart from the Guest User (Sharing only).

Updating will not cause you to lose data but things can always go wrong. You should definitely backup before you update. I assume you have music on the device that was not purchased in iTunes and synced with a different iTunes library. You can transfer these songs back to your computer with third party software such as TouchCopy.

Rt / how can a fpga-bitfile be exchanged without recompile the rtexe?

maybe someone of you knows the trick:
my program have two parts, one is running on RT-OS (LabView RT/PharLap) the other part is on a FPGA. For programming I'm using LV 8.5.1.
In the VI (on RT) which calls the FPGA, is a static path-reference on the bitfile. Idea of this was that the bitfile is dynamically loaded by every start of the RT and when there are bugfixes to do in the FPGA-code, then this could be done with an simple exchange of the bitfile (which I can send to the customer and he replaces then byself the file per FTP).
In fact replacing of the bitfile does not have any effect, it seems that the bitfile is integrated in the RTexe and so cannot be exchanged on harddisk. Only way to replace the bitfile seems to recompile the RTexe with the new bitfile.
Does anyone knows how this can be solved? Or is there no way to do so that a bitfile is loaded at runtime (as a file and not integrated in RTexe)?
Or is this maybe because the VI which calls the bitfile, is forced to be part of the compiled RTexe (build options)?

Hi Lars,
as far as I know there are 2 ways to dynamically download a bitfile to an FPGA
device.
1. Using the NI-RIO driver (available at: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/993/lang/en)
When you install the NI-RIO driver, the RIO Device Setup utility is installed,
which allows you to download bitfiles to the flash memory of your FPGA device.
After that when the device is reset or powerup, the device itself can load and
start this new bitfile. Just make sure that the option "Autoload VI on
device powerup" or "Autoload VI on device reboot" is set
accordingly under Device Settings in the RIO Device Setup utility. Change
these options of the device so that the bitfile is loaded on a reset or power
loss, then reset or cycle the power for the device.
2. Using the FPGA Target System Replication utility as discussed under: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/6465
With the help of the VIs included in this utility (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/AF4FF0C65AF31B4348257337006A144A?OpenDocument) you can basically set the same options and select a bitfile similar to the RIO
Device Setup utility of the NIO-RIO driver. Similar to the RIO Device Setup
utility you can download your bitfile to the flash memory of your FPGA and then
reset or power cycle your device.

You need to turn on Photo Stream in iPhoto on your laptop to view the last 30 days of photos.
The rest of your camera roll can't be viewed but can be restored when you get the device back.

Aside from Wake on LAN, how can I turn on my S10 without pressing the Power Button?

FIrst of all I have not tried Wake on LAN on this S10 of mine, yet. I don't even know if it will work or not.
Anyway, this is my main concern. I'm planning to mount my S10 on the back of my monitor, I'll be putting a wire mesh kinda box that will hold it. I will then hook the VGA monitor/audio cables to my S10. I'll also be hooking my wireless Keyboard so it will look clean as possible. With this setup, of course, the LCD lid will be closed and I'm thinking of ways on how to turn it on with the Lid closed. I'm currently finding ways on how to do this? I was hoping NOT to go to the rear of my monitor >> lift the S10 from the mesh box >> press the power button >> close the lid >> place it back to the mesh box mount.
The wireless keyboard has a power on option (I have Logitech MK300) but does NOT work. Would a Wired USB keyboard work?
Fortunately, I have a deskop computer (which has its own monitor) that will sit beside my S10/Monitor. The two computers (Desktop and S10) will run independently.
What do you think guys? What options can I go with? Is my only hope Wake On LAN? Oh yeah, it is even possible with the S10?

It won't work right after it is set up from the Admin server. I have to manually edit the obj.conf so that the [NameTrans fn="redirect"] lines are ahead of any other lines NameTrans lines. So i bought a G3 keyboard with the power button and i just received it but my macbook still doesn't want to start up.
It's pretty strange because my macbook was still running when the top case died and I had to unplug it cause i couldn't shut it down so I was sure that buying this keyboard would make it work but it doesn't. I am wondering if it could be from the power button that would be died cause when i push it, it doesn't feel like the one on my macbook . It's pretty hard to explain but could someone tell my how it supposed to be when i push the power button . On my keyboard it just goes down and goes up without doing anything...
I'm pretty sad cause I haven't used my macbook for weeks and i'm started thinking it will never start up again ...
