When i import videos from QuickTime Player, the video appear in red, how i can fix this
HI, sr/miss:
i have some troubles when in many times i had to import videos from quick time player to imovie 10, in all cases the videos appears in red and i dont know how i can fix this, so please if anyone can help me i really would appreciate it.
in addition, i am not an expert in imovie 10, so be straightforward with the answer.

I am a complete novice with Final Cut Pro X. I have learned enough to do what I need to do. That being said I would gladly give you that info if you would point me to where I would find it. When I do a "get info" on the mp4 file it tells me that the dimension is 640x480, the codecs are H.264, AAC, and I have 2 audio channels. I did not download the additional content for FCP.

I have many bookmarks in folders. The folders, and some plain book marks move up or down from where I place them every time I open I open Firefox 4.0. I have even put them back to where I want them to be, and next time I open Firefox they move like they are playing Hide & Seek! Also from time to time there are new bookmarks added named "about:blank: I deleted the 8 ones created last week a few days ago, and now have 6 more! I am also having problems deleting some plugins, but that is another issue to worry about later.

Check your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.

Where is the audio in the project - numbered audio tracks, Narration Track, and/or Soundtrack? Any chance that you are using a XviD.avi file?
- audio is either in the soundtrack , or in audio 2 when part of a video
Besides the full properties of your source file including file extension, what are the full export settings that you are using presumably for Publish+Share/Computer/MPEG?
- i was just using the default for MPEG, which is the NTSC DVD standard, file type MPEG2-DVD
What player are you using? Does the file playback video and audio using the VLC player? Does the problem exist in a new project?
- i have tried in quicktime and VLC, both have the same effect (picture works, staccato background noise). I have not tried in another file, but will do so now. -

The send buttin is greyed out when I try to text some but not all people from my iPod Touch. This happens even when they have iPhone 4s. Any ideas why and how I can fix this?
This issue can be caused by the McAfee SiteAdvisor extension.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Why can't I open and retrieve my files from iPhoto and my Address Book after importing the files from my Power Mac G5 to my new Mac Pro? I get a warning that says the new OS on my Pro doesn't open files from a Power Mac. Any idea how I can fix this?
For your addressbook, export the files to vCard on the PowerMac, then bring them over to your Mac Pro. For your iPhoto, copy the Users -> yourname -> Pictures folder to your Desktop on the Mac Pro, and open iPhoto on the Mac Pro holding the command and option keys. Select the library file from that Pictures folder and open it. It should import all the pictures into iPhoto as part of the rebuild process. I am having a issue installing Adobe Acrobat XI. I am running Windows 8.1. When go to install it gets an error. The error is with transform in registry and will not install product. I am looking at how I can fix this registry problem.
I have tried to uninstall all Abode Acrobat installations but one file remains and refuses to be uninstalled. It gives me this error : Error applying Transforms . Verify that specified paths are valid. It was installed on Sept 18 2014. I have downloaded a Transform update but it tells I do not have a Adobe Acrobat product installed.Hi all,

I have re-installed JSDK1.4.2_03, set the "path" variable to "C:\JSDK1.4.2_03".
When I compile using "javac" I get an error saying "javac" is not recognised.
When I compile using "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin\javac Freq.java" no error is thrown.
Every time I try to run a java file, I always get the NoClassDefFound error. When run with the -verbose option, files are loaded from C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin - is this correct?
I have removed all previous references to java in the registry editor.

My dvd player will not let me change regions, it says i have one more chance to change it, then it just quits when i do, now its stuck on region 1. Any thoughts how i can solve this problem or get round it in some way?
Usually if you have some kind of hardware failure there is some beeping during POST or most motherboards now have LED indicators to produce and error message based on the type of failure
So if its bad memory, not place properly, mismatched, processor not inserted properly, mismatched voltage or voltage connector not present etc it beeps or generates the error id.
Power supplies can be tested for failure. There are some walk throughs for testing just them with a switch, paperclip or a jumper (I'd suggest not doing this if you are not familiar with the dangers of electricity).
Memory can be tested with memory diagnostics programs like Memtest+
Processors can overheat if the proper precautions have not been taken usually you will get a POST beep or error code for that.
If the motherboard has no response then do the basics first:
Check power connectors and power supply. Once you determine that is not the case move on to other items like graphics cards in all the way or memory. -
When I send an email it shows up in the sent folder as new, how do I fix this so it shows it as read automatically?
I don't want all my mail to be marked as read, just the sent messages. I set Thunderbird up on my new PC and whenever I send an email it goes to my sent folder like I want, but it shows up as a new or unread message. I have Thunderbird on my two other PC's and it doesn't act this way. On the other PC's when I send out an email, it shows up in my sent folder as read. That's the way I want it to act on my new PC. With the other two PC's I didn't have to do anything to the setting it was like that from the start.

When I'm previewing my iDVD, the pictures are all of the edited ones - which is what I want - but after I burn the DVD, all the pictures are in the unedited form!! What the heck?!! How do I fix this problem? I've never experienced this before!!

I had my computer repaired, and when I got it back I had to reinstall iTunes. Now iTunes won't authorize this computer because it says we already have 5 devices authorized, but this is the same computer. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Deauthorizing won't delete anything, and all your purchased content is safe. You will just have to reauthorize any of the other computers that get deauthorized along with your computers old machine id.
To get your purchased content back on that computer, just use iTunes to redownload it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US). Of course, music you ripped from CD or got from another source you'll need to copy those files back over. -
when I drag a picture into my imovie it creates a thumbnail but when it plays over it, it shows the picture in front of it and not the picture...and when I go to crop adjustments it shows a black screen. How do I fix this?
I had a similar problem, and i found that the photo was of very low resoluton. As a test I resized the image to a lrager resolution using photoshop CS4 and re saved it as JPG. I imported the new saved image and it seem to have fixed the problem.
