Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

When I open Firefox, the tab to type in the web address is not there, nor anywhere else--Where did it go?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F). 
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear. 
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.

I installed teh update a few days ago but when I open Firefox it says :"You're not on the lastest version . . ", but at "Help" & "About Firefox" it shows 9.0.1 "latest release". There's a glitch somewhere.

This is the message when I Open Firefox:

Is your homepage set to www.google.com/firefox? If so, that page is wrong. You should change your home page to about:home or some other site instead. The google.com/firefox page is no longer supported.

Downloaded Firefox update for my Mac and now when I open it, there is a white box at the top of the page with a grey bar in it that I can't get rid of

I updated my firefox browser for my Mac and now, when I open it, an empty white box appears at the top of the page with only a gray bar in it. It over lays the Firefox home page and I can't get rid of it, so I can't click on anything on the Firefox page. I tried deleting Firefox and redownloading it, but that didn't help. Why is there a one-inch gap between FF logo and search engines?(I'm using FF4).

I recently downloaded FF 4.I'm not technically savvy,and was a bit confused to see a drop down menu and the word "Firefox".
I didn't like the new set-up and managed to delete it, in favor of the logo.
Now,the opening page is in the background and there is a one-inch gap between the logo and the search engine.Is there a way to have a space reduction?
F11 is NOT a resolution.

You can make FF4 look like FF3 by doing the following. 
* Right click a blank part of the tab bar and click "Tabs on top" to remove the checkmark. Tabs will subsequently reappear below the search bar. 
* Repeat the same steps, but click the top one called "Menu bar". This will reinstate the text links at the top. 
* To rearrange the layout, repeat the same steps again and choose "Customize". A panel will open and while that remains onscreen, you can move elements like toolbars, buttons etc around and place them anywhere you wish. You can also drag anything you don't like into that panel and add anything you want by dragging it out of there. 
* To replace the status bar at the foot of the page, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/

Is it normal for there to be a gap between the glass and bezel on iPhone 5?

As you can see, there's a really small gap between the glass and the rim (frame) whatever you want to call it. I can fit a piece of paper there, as u can see.
It also collects dust. It's annoying.

In any case:
Hold down the Alt key, then go to View > Toolbars and check Navigation toolbar and Menu bar.

When I open Firefox a pop-up box appears with no conent and I must close it to continue.

When I first open Firefox a window appears over my home screen with two choices, neither of which does anything when I click on it. I can close the box and continue. Sometimes I can not close a program in Firefox because the same box pops up when I try to close the window.

Why there is a huge difference between network terminal and Linksys E4200?

When my PC connect directly to Huawei HG863 optical network terminal, I can get 600mb more download speed. But adding E4200 router given others unchange, I can only get 100mb download speed.

Can you please elaborate your question? No Internet Service Provider, provides 600mbps connection speed, if that's what your question is?
Secondly, router works as a firewall and distributes internet on different computers which obviously lower down the speed of the internet.
If you want to check the actual speed of the internet, try downloading some stuff from websites like microsoft.com, linksysbycisco.com or apple.com. That will show the actual downloading speed.

My home page will not load when I open Firefox but features show up in column on left and bookmarks are there.

My home page opens with features in a column on the left and bookmarks are available but the center section (features) is blank. Home page with features appeared at first opening of FF, then would not open normally after opening a feature but would not open normally when going back to home page. No not at all.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
